The Ooze Participant

Slowly she was growing more accustomed to her daughter's new family, and new life. Though she was still wary of Athena, their sons didn't remind her at all of their grandfather and she had grown quite fond of their presence within Fiori, though she still didn't know them well. A wide smile painted her features, softened at her daughter's embrace, and her ears would flick where they stood at attention, wondering what Amalia needed.

It was obvious there was something on her eldest daughter's mind, and though she seemed a bit hesitant to tell her what it was, it was comforting to know she could still confide in her despite all the time that had passed since they'd been together. Her worries were understandable, but she found herself chuckling softly at her daughter's naivety. "I wouldn't worry about it, honestly," she explained, her eyes softening. Though she understood Amalia's worries; her sons weren't her biological children, but she was certain they thought of her as a mother as much as Athena. "I don't think you'll have to worry about that happening. They know you as a mother, nothing else." It was strange to talk about this sort of thing with her daughter, but she also hadn't expected her first grandchildren to be Amalia's. Though they were by adoption, not blood, they were still her family. "I always pictured you with girl pups, not boy ones," Epiphron admitted after a moment, eyes sparkling as she searched her daughter's features after her admission.
