A New Adventure

Kia lifted an eyebrow at the other female’s words. Her instincts were screaming at her that there was something off about this she-wolf, but Kia wasn’t one to run away from a challenge. Ohhhh no. She relished a good challenge. Sitting down resolutely and flattening her fur, she also gave her best smile. It did not reach her eyes, for it was not necessarily genuine, but something told her that the blood-red wolf wouldn’t care.
“I see,” she said, nodding a bit, attempting to warm the other to her. “No intentions, huh? Does that mean you have nowhere to be? Perhaps we could sit and talk for a while.” Of course, the wolf with the snake around her neck could refuse her offer, but Kia sincerely hoped she wouldn’t. It had actually been some time since she had spoken to another wolf. “I’m Kia,” she added as an afterthought, hoping the inclusion of a name would help the other settle into some sort of conversation.
