Bass wouldn't answer her question, and she shot him a worried glance. She didn't know what had passed or why the other wolf had been here, but she knew everything wasn't alright. She would have to find out if she could help later however, as Bass started the meeting. She did a quick double take herself as she looked at the gathering wolves. She wasn't as familiar with the members as Bass was, but she thought she saw a few faces missing. She also memorized any new ones, and when her eyes settled on Shai she would offer the boy a wink, but wouldn't leave Bass's side to greet him.

The errant thought that once it would have been her and Rhythm by Bass's side plagued her, but she shoved it aside and buried it – she was determined to turn a new leaf and be mature about the decisions Rhythm made.

Motif's attention would fall to Bass as he spoke, and mentioned new ranks in Abaven. He would also mention Motif's new rank – something the two had discussed not long ago. She gave her brother a wink and a subtle nod as her only indication that she appreciated the rank and would honor him in it.
He would move on to mention pups and how 6 months or older would need to chose their field and start training. Her eyes immediately moved to Shaye, her sweet little girl. Her stomach did a little flip at the thought of her choosing warrior training. She was growing so fast, but she was still so small, and to Motif no matter how big she grew she knew she would always see her as her baby. However, Shaye had yet to show interest in any one field and she was curious to know what path her daughter would choose. She would be speaking with both her and Shai after this meeting, Shaye had already passed her six months mark.

Bass would also mention the need to step it up in activity, and she knew she had been lax in this department as she went through the motions of missing Rhythm. Now, holding a high rank, it was even more essential for her to be present and to set a good example. When Bass finished talking to moved closer to her brother, giving him another kiss on his cheek “I'll help you with fighting training” she offered quietly.
