Kia was also exploring the geyser that day, walking slowly around it in a wide circle, giving it plenty of space. Unlike Vrel, she didn’t know whether it would spout or not, so she made sure to keep her distance. As she continued her circular path, she saw in the distance, and coming ever closer, another wolf. His coat was brown. She could not yet see the black patches, as she was still too far away. Slowly, she continued to approach him, until she was close enough that he might also spot her. She gave a Woof! of greeting, so as not to startle him, wondering whether to stop moving now and wait, or to keep going towards him. She decided to sit, thinking that if he wanted to come to her, she would let him. Not all wolves were friendly, after all, and maybe he wanted his space.
