His coiled smirk became more deviously wound with puckish amusement as Lysis offered her concluding description. He approved of that very much. He said nothing, allowing smirk to speak for him, and only nodded when she agreed upon his "free spirit." When she mentioned his shying from battle, he was not embarrassed but rather glad to be able to explain. "Ah, yes. I don't much enjoy fighting..." he started. "Violence is... a terrible thing. I don't like hurting others," he'd say, lips pursed with honest thought. "Or getting myself hurt, for that matter," he added with a small, nonchalant shrug.
Lysis spoke about herself, giving Nagendra a bit of a brief background. A ruling family, fallen from grace. "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that," he offered what condolences he could as such an immediate acquaintance. He thought momentarily about his own family, and felt a tad ungrateful. There had been such an abundance of his own relatives, and life had been so comfortable and placid. It was boring. Life had been good and that was why he had left. It akways made him feel guilty when he met someone who had experienced any kind of misfortune. He focused on Lysis again. "Have you been in Imperium long?" he asked, tilting his head slightly.
