Excitement course through her limbs, heart hammering at the thrill of the battle to come. Birna had sorely missed sparring and it felt like she hadn't done near enough of it since her brutal battle at the siege. Flush with victory she was confident that she would once again prevail and bring her triumph home to show her brother. Shame he was not able to attend but she could applaud his diligence to protecting Fiori's borders while allowing his sister this chance at festive frivolity.

Locating a decent clearing Birna flexed her toes and stretched her limbs, psyching herself for the approaching duel. Her opponent was a wolf of similar age but vastly different in height. In fact the smaller fae was about half of Birna's towering height though the warrioress was not about to fall into the trap of underestimating her opponent. She'd dueled smaller enemies before and while she had the advantage of strength and weight the smaller wolves were often quicker and rarely needed to even stoop for the giantess' undersides. She'd have to take care to make sure she kept her ventral sides properly protected. She would tip her head to her opponent, signaling for the other to make the first move.
