Shiki glanced at the black and white male as he spoke. Feeling better about not being a pack. He was right though, this would give him some experience so he could offer something to a pack when he joined one. Tail wagged a little, though he would soon return to business when Emery returned his attention to Frith. He then noticed that the larger male would begin to move. It was time to hunt.
Shiki followed quickly, his smaller legs at a trot as he kept up with the bigger wolves. Though it was a bit tedious, for every one step of theirs he needed two...or a bound or a hop here and there, but it bothered him none. He was small, so his size could possibly be well suited to aiding his navigation through these woods.
His blood pounded in his ears when Frith let loose a howl, Shiki hardly able to contain himself, began to speed up. He matched pace with Frith on his left side, gaze locked on the group of pigs. He wondered which one they would go after, but that was soon answered when he noticed one in particular being left behind. Frith confirmed his thoughts, one ear twitching when he heard the Alpha bark. Shiki leaped over a few fallen branches, landing easily as well as ducking his head whenever any of the lower hanging branches threatened to behead him. Glancing back for a moment, the others were hot on their heels. Already his adrenaline kicked in, and all he could see in his line of sight was the sow. He was quick, agile enough that he could probably catch up, but he held back just a little. Waiting for the perfect moment.
