A howl. Valentine's howl.
Intrigue.
Miliani had been sick the past few days, or had it been a week now? He honestly wasn't sure. Whatever the number of days, he felt as though she were on the mend - or at least stable enough for him to leave alone while he investigated the situation. He slipped from the den the King had graciously offered them, and slinked, yes, slinked, toward the source of the howl. There was no smile on his face, only curiosity. They said that curiosity killed the cat, but he was no cat. He approached the battlefield just as the woman (Cascade) was throwing herself at him (Valentine). He tilted his head and let loose a phrase he'd only truly meant to think in his head. "What on earth are they doing?"
He'd never seen anyone spar before.
When he realized that he'd spoken out loud instead of just thinking he shrunk an inch or two, slinking back a step - wondering if he should even be here. But the howl hadn't been specific, and had seemed to be an invitation of sorts. Surely if he wasn't meant to be here he would know it? "Why are they fighting?" He queried of the nearest creature to him that wasn't involved in the ruckus (Angelus). Maybe he knew something Shaw didn't.
