i know that a love like this won't last forever
Isolde had certainly learnt a lot about him during their time together, she had helped shape him into an entirely different man, one he'd never thought he would end up being though it had never been a bad thing. That said however, even with all the care in the world it was unlikely she'd ever bring Soliloquy back to himself. There was perhaps only one wolf that could have talked some sense into him, though Scorpion was nowhere to be seen.
Isolde wouldn't try however, Soliloquy had given up on himself though he couldn't be sure if she had done the same thing. He knew who stood before him, but he couldn't read her now, all he knew was there was no anger and the lack of that still had him frozen in shock. Even without any annoyance displayed however he would still flinch as she stepped closer, moving in to groom him as she had done so many times before. He was beyond a state of grooming really, the dirty white coat needed it, though thinning and weakening figure and wounds close to infection probably required more urgent attention.
For a few seconds he would allow himself to relax into that familiarity, the gentle touch bringing back far happier memories to mind. That feral, despondent state would kick in again however suddenly and he wouldn't allow the contact or any longing for the past to continue. Withdrawing he would put distance between them again, his expression offered no explanation and his speech wasn't much help either.
"No." Hoarse voice informed her simply. He shouldn't even have been here at all.
but i don't really mind i don't really mind at all
