LORD, I AM CLIMBING HIGH MOUNTAINS TRYING TO GET HOME
Trying to get home...
Ash would pivot to Lynd's left, just as the pale male closed in for his attack. Lynd's left* shoulder would ram into Ash's lower gut as the boy pulled away from him, as his fangs would graze the larger youth's left knee. His efforts were rewarded with broken flesh but not the hold he desired, however he was successful in hooking his right forepaw behind the boy's left ankle, causing him to stumble slightly as he tried to pivot. Thankful for the brief second of time to react Lynd sought to place his right forepaw back sturdily on the ground as his weight shifted to his own front paws.
Aware of his own vulnerable position Lyndvarr did not wish to wait for the boy to retaliate. All to aware of his unprotected back legs and the valuable tendons that were necessary for his movement, Lynd attempted to mimic his opponent and pivot to follow the boy's hindquarters and bring them once again to parallel. With his weight shifting to his front legs, his back ones sought to kick off the ground and hopefully bring his butt out of reach of the taller boy. That was all he needed, a nice ass-mark to show Lærke.
However the boy was coming in much lower, his fangs slicing through the flesh of Lynd's left hock leaving moderate lacerations and causing his breath to hitch slightly at the pain. He'd been trained long enough to push it from his mind but the first stings of pain always took him by surprise. As he moved he felt his left hind paw pulled out from under him and while he stumbled slightly the move did not impede his movement to greatly for his weight was shifted to his front legs and his back legs were already leaving the ground to pivot his rear. The boys weight was another story as the slate colored male threw his weight, led by the boy's right shoulder, into Lyndvarr's left hip causing moderate bruising and his backend to be pushed with even greater momentum to Lyndvarr's right. His back paws stumbled but he managed to keep his balance, his tail quickly flagging out behind him, exposing his belly in favor of keeping on his feet. While Lynd partially appreciated the help getting his back end around he knew he was still in a risky spot. Dam this squirt was tenacious! And larger than any youngster had a right to be.
Lyndvarr double-checked his defenses. Ebony ears remained pinned to his skull, ice blue eyes narrowed as his brow wrinkled bunching up the flesh on his face and peeling back his lips in a snarl. Hackles remained laced down his back as his neck scrunched back, shoulders rolling forward. Tail and head moved to align with his spine as his limbs spread equidistant apart, evenly distributing his weight as his legs coiled low. Toes were splayed, claws digging into the earth.
Defenses set, Lyndvarr sought to retaliate hoping the other boys inexperience and indecision might buy him a second to try something risky. It was a gamble, but what good were spars if you didn't try something a little crazy now and then? Lyndvarr kicked off and attempted to come in low and close the distance between himself and his opponent. Lynd attempted to curve his upper body to his own left to come at Ash at a slight angle, almost as if he sought to make them form a yin yang symbol. He sought to push off with as much might as he could in an attempt to push push himself beneath the taller boys belly, just in front of the boys hind legs. His jaws would snake forward, head rotating to his own right, aiming for the far leg, the boy's tender inner right thigh just above the knee. He sought to dig his jaws into the tender flesh and clamp down tightly. As he tried to dive beneath his larger opponent Lyndvarr also sought to throw his weight forward and up in an attempt to lance both his shoulders upward into the boy's underbelly. His right shoulder looking to jab the boy in the groin, his left looking to dig into the center of the underbelly just behind the sternum. Lyndvarr hoped to almost stand up with enough force up and forward to tip the boy over, or at least make him stumble so he didn't fall right on top of Lynd.
