His brother's mirth, while it was something he'd been hoping for, wounded him a little. The laugh was good and hearty, almost like the idea of Angel being an adult was ridiculous. He desperately wanted to be a grown up. Wanted to be big and powerful and all knowing like his parents. He wanted to look grown up and he wanted to sound grown up. "...see if you can make Vana think she's in trouble!" Angel snickered. Okay, that sounded like a lot of fun. "Think she'd really fall for it?"

Beehives? Sinkholes? COOL! He'd run all over the place with their dad, but he'd never found either of those things. The sinkhole in particular interested him. "That's a great idea! How deep do you think the sinkhole is? Did you throw anything in it?" Ah, man! Now he really wanted to toss something in it!

The boy's tail beat the air behind him as his imagination took off. How far down did the sinkhole go? Was it so deep you could fall forever? Or were there caves down there? Did wolves live waaaay down underground? Like, fall in and decide to stay? Were they like moles?
