The boy would look down from her smile, was it a good smile? His interpretation to most things never came out right and he felt uncomfortable not knowing. Had he disturbed her? Should he have given her his name? But soon enough she would reply with her own name, a lot easier to claim as a name than his was. "You... Live here?" Still looking down at the water, he would wait to listen to her as well as listen to the rushing water, soothing his ears still wondering if he should be here. Would mother approve? Probably not... And he couldn't get that little thought out of his mind even though he hadn't seen his mother for a whole year. |
