The Unraveling - Going Deeper

They fight the worm and the woman who hails from the same pack as Scald joins him in throwing icicles at the writhing creature in the despite fight to take down this monster. Eyes slide over to the shorter woman and a frown tugs at the corner of his lips as he offers her a curt nod of approval before returning his attention back to flailing beast. Above them, the ceiling finally gives way as huge slabs of ice break free and begin crash to the ground.
Duel-toned eyes snap upward as the fissure loosens the ice above him and the woman and he lunges sideways, tackle Morwenna and sending them both sprawling to the side just as a chunk of ceiling slams into the spot they had occupied mere seconds ago. The roll across ground the moment before coming to a stop with him on top of her and his eyes find her’s. A kind of… understanding passes between them at the loss of Scald and he hastily stands while rumbling, “You okay?”
Gaze roves over to the dead body of Scald and he begrudgingly realizes that the woman will need help to get the dead weight home. With a small sigh, he helps her stand and says, “I’m sorry for your loss. I will help you take his body home.”The gesture is simple and somewhat kind for a man that couldn’t stand Scald while he was alive. With her in tow, they move to the deceased man’s corpse and carefully secure him across his back. With a huff, he inclines his head and says, “Lead the way.”
