Cordatcia was was trekking for some time now, about 2 miles from which the direction she came. She was taking in all of the scents, all of the landscape, and all of the sights she could ever dream of. The lands were incredibly beautiful, even despite the bitter air. A cool surge of wind nicked at her fur, sending it flipping up backwards from the pattern it grew in. She should find shelter soon. But where? She had no where to go, and knew no one. Her head dipped low as she began to pick up speed, focused on catching sight of anything that could pass as shelter for when night falls. Her voyage was short lived, distracted by the sight of an elk in the distance. As if on queue, her stomach contracted, telling her that she'd better catch something soon. Alone she couldn't ever dream of taking down an elk, so she traveled on.

The pack lacked fighters, lacked...pretty much everything as it grew quiet. Arian had disappeared somewhere, some old man taking her place as alpha. So he would take the moment to go beyond the borders, taking time to himself to travel and relish in solitude once more. Pack life still took some getting used to, but he was sure that he would settle shortly. With night closing in, he swept towards an area he'd not been to before. Arians daughter had asked him to find her some sort of herb for the pregnant Beta, so with a shrug and a nod he was off.
The location she had described looked alot like where he was at now. A brow cocked upward as crimson gaze peeked past darkened lids. This was an interesting place, he had no doubt he'd find what was requested of him...what was it again? Oh well, he forgot. Guess that meant he could explore. Stepping lightly through the shadows and cover, he picked up many scents that littered the field. Some prey, some wolves. He ignored them for the time being. However, he would soon come to find a young girl wandering the area, a yearling it seemed. Curious, he remained as hidden as he could, watching with hidden interest. Would she notice the master of shadows? It would be a fun game to find out. |

Cordatcia had halted at a small, nearly dry puddle of water and lapped up the best of it. Licking her lips dry as she looked around, she sighed with disappointment. She was having no luck finding either shelter or food. Where could she find a decently sized meal that one measly canine could hunt? Onward again she trotted, scouting the area with curious icy blue eyes. Her nose had seemed to catch many scents, but a few stood out the further she trekked. She smelled another wolf near, but couldn't pinpoint the direction it was coming from. Her ears swiveled forward as she stood in a still, concentrated position - frontal paw raised in the air. Nothing. 'Better safe than sorry,' were the words she thought to herself before resting her paw back atop rich, patched grass. She hoped that she wasn't intruding on pack territory. Boy, would that be bad news. Her nose didn't pick up any signs of claimed territory thus far, though, so that was good. A loner like herself wasn't prepared for any hostile confrontation.
Her pace quickened as she kept eyes keen on any signs of another canine, at the same time still on the hunt for a quick snack. It was likely that she'd skip yet another meal and scavenge on a barely nutritious carcass. Great.
