He needed to get away and once he pulled himself together he fled the pack lands. Shortly after his father's death another older pack member died and the young boy just didn't know how to express his emotions. He didn't know how to deal with them either. So he slunk off taking the direction towards the Lirim pack lands to seek out his sisters and relay the message to them. Hopefully one of them could help him deal with the emotional roller coaster that he was on.

He took the same route as before, this time it was familiar to him and it didn't take him much time or it wasn't any trouble for him to find the pack. He paused at the borders hesitating for a second before he remembered that he was welcome at any time. So the young male pushed forward in search of his sisters. He wouldn't want to bother them if they were busy with the kids, mostly because he didn't want to be a bother.

Sighing the male continued forward his eyes looking around for any sign of anyone.

Now that her kids were old enough to be on their own for brief periods of time it had given her enough freedom to start exploring the pack lands a bit more. She had been able to start collecting her herbs again which she was more grateful for than she thought she would be. Herb gathering had always been her escape and alone time in a sense, but she didn't realize how much she had missed doing it recently. She was slowly making her way through the valley while keeping her eyes and nose open for any helpful herbs she might be able to collect and take back to her slowly growing store of them.

At the same time she started to wonder about her family that still lived in Celestial. Her father, Baine, the younger siblings, Regulus... She still hadn't brought herself to go visit to tell her littermate about her children. Those pups were going to be grown adults before she ever made it over there if it was up to her. She kept hoping that maybe Regulus would come visit here so she wouldn't be able to avoid it any more, but that hadn't happened yet. She was sure her brother had his paws full at the moment so she didn't want to fret over it, but it was something that had to happen eventually.

Like her musing had summoned him, suddenly she noticed Laisren's scent and her ears perked as her head darted up so her eyes could search for him. Luckily his white and black form was fairly easy to spot among the grasses of the valley. A smile spread on her muzzle and she trotted over to him with her tail wagging gently behind her. "Laisren!" she called to get his attention. She stopped a foot or so from him, saying, "I'm surprised to see you here! I mean, I'm happy to see you of course, just surprised."

He trudged along hoping that it wouldn't take him long to find one of his sisters. He needed some cheering up because he really hated to feel this low. He was hoping that maybe he could get a visit with his nieces and nephews too because he knew the little balls of energy would easily cheer him up and for a while numb the grief and the sorrow. Just thinking about their bright little faces was enough to bring a smile to his face. He couldn't wait and could only hope that he would see them soon.

Lost in his thoughts the young male hadn't realized that Zuriel was nearby, in fact he was quite oblivious until she called out to him breaking him from his thoughts. He stopped and looked around until his eyes landed on her. A bigger smile crossed his face seeing that she was alive, thriving, and looking good for being gone so long. He couldn't even remember the last time he had spoken to her. His tail wagged as she approached and continued to when she stopped a foot away.

"I'm glad to see you and to see that you are doing so well," he said before closing the distance and gently embracing her like he would with his other sister. He then pulled away and looked to her. "How are you liking Faite's pack? By the sounds of it this pack seems like a great home."

Zuriel returned her brother's embrace with her tail wagging gently behind her. She couldn't believe how big he had gotten. It felt like just yesterday he was a small ball of fluff. Although it was a bit silly to think that way since she had her own children and they had begun to grow like weeds in the time since she saw him last. She gave him a good once over once he stepped back from her, looking him over with a healer's eyes. He looked well. Even though she knew it had been a long time since she had seen him it still threw her for a loop to see him as an adult.

"It's been a great home so far," she replied with a small nod. Faite had done well so far as a leader for this pack. Not that Zuriel had ever had any doubts, but it was still good to see how their sister had made this home for them. "How are you doing? How is everyone back home? I've been meaning to come visit, I've just... had my paws a bit full." She didn't know how to break the news that she had a litter of her own so she just left it at that for now. She was desperately curious to know how the rest of her family was doing.

He took a seat in front of her as she replied about how she was doing. Lais had already been told by Faite about the pups, but Lais didn't want Zuriel to know that. She would tell him when she saw fit, besides she had to take a trip to Celestial at some point. He was already feeling a little less punky now that he was talking with Zuriel, but he knew once her mood grew sour with his news he would be feeling down again. He knew she would be upset and when Faite heard the news then she would be too, but they had to know. They were family after all.

His tail wagged back and fourth even when she asked him how he was doing. There was plenty of negative ways that he could answer the question to dwell on all the depressing things going on in the pack. Yes he would need to tell her of the deaths, but he didn't want to dwell on how quiet the pack was and how depressed he had been.

"I've been okay and well the pack has been really quiet. I assumed both you and Faite have been busy over here with this new pack. I've actually come to visit both of you since Reg is still healing and getting himself ready to kick the pack into gear," he said.

The wound of his father's passing was still vary fresh in the young lad's mind and it still hurt to even think of his father not being here, but dad wanted to desperately be with mom and he finally got his wish. He sighed before his ears dropped flat against his head.

"Unfortunately I've brought more bad news. Father has passed, to join mother in the afterlife and Creed's brother has also passed. Rass and Keiryn are still missing," his voice was quieter as he told her the news and his gaze dropped to the earth.

Zuriel wasn't too surprised to hear that the pack had been quiet. It had been fairly quiet anyway when she was there, but with everything that had been going on it was probably for the best that everyone took some time to breathe. She smiled a little when she heard that Reg was getting ready to get them going again. Of course he was. Regulus had always been the most ambitious of their litter. She still wasn't surprised that he had been the one to take over Celestial. Actually, she was really the only one from their litter that really had no interest in leading anyone. She just wanted to collect herbs and learn all she could about healing. And take care of her children of course.

Her heart sunk when Laisren delivered his bad news. She couldn't say she was surprised, but it was still hard to hear. She had spent a good portion of her early life caring for her father and looking after him, especially while their mother and her littermates were missing. Guilt tugged at her for not going back to check on him and spend time with him after she heard about their mother passing. How long had it been since she had seen him? And now she'd never get the chance to again. And to top it off some of her youngest siblings were missing... She saw Laisren's gaze fall and her ears flicked. She couldn't let all her guilt and mourning drown her now with Laisren here. She leaned forward to gently nudge up his chin with her nose while she pulled a small smile onto her lips. "Thank you for letting me know, Lais. I'm sorry there's been so much sadness back home lately. Things will get better, I promise."
