ooc: Any Abraxas are welcome though Ana is liable to be pissy so enter at your own risk. Dragon is probably gonna post first so I'd like everyone to give her the opportunity to before they post.

Also I super suck at birthing threads so I'm sorry if this is terrible.

She was fat and irritable and worst of all it'd taken her longer than she would have liked to find a suitable birthing den. A part of her missed the canyon that both of her siblings had birthed their litters in, but it didn't seem as though it was an option. Of course she could have decided that the pack lands that Amon had chosen for the empire were good enough, but the fact of the matter was that they weren't for her. She hadn't chosen the location and that was something that irked her. It wasn't as though she disliked the territories Amon had claimed - it just so happened that she was being unbelievably picky where she wanted to have her first legitimate litter.

She'd settled on the falls in the end. It was still close enough to her family that she felt comfortable with and yet it gave her and her babies their own space once they were born. She'd managed to find a nice little nook at the base of the falls near one of the pools. It gave her a good water source and she could easily go hunt when she wished. Prey would come for a source of water after all so it gave her an easy food source.

She'd been more than prepared with her choice of den, soft pelts lining her den, and the likes, but she still hadn't been prepared for the contractions. The pain that followed was more than enough to put her in possibly one of the worst moods she'd ever been in. It was probably best that she had no intention of Dragon being in their lives because the feelings she had about him right now were anything but good. In fact she was positive that, if it hadn't been for the pain of labor, she'd be trying to rip his head off right now if she saw him.

It was hours later that she finally got the opportunity to rest. She was tired, and still rather irritable, and yet she felt an immense amount of joy as she stared at her three beautiful children. Godlings. True gods born from her very flesh and blood. They weren't adopted, weren't fake, and there was no denying their heritage. Perfect would have been the word to describe them but they had yet to be molded in such a way so she wouldn't yet call them that. Instead she couldn't help but admire them. All three of them favored their father, perhaps a bit too much, but she was pleased with them all the same. The male was large, impressive really, so maybe it was a good thing they took after Dragon. She hadn't been blessed with the height gene after all like the majority of her family had. The females seemed to take more after her in terms of looks. They were paler than Dragon with more dainty features and not nearly as large as their brother, but they were impressive in their own rights. She could raise them to be little copies of herself and they would be glorious. All of them would.

His sight had begun to fail him, something his brother had predicted due to his injuries from the raid. He wasn't the only one who had noticed, but some of his pack mates as well as Pyralis had noticed as well. He had denied that his vision would completely go away for months, but there was no denying he'd lose it. Already his sight had begun to cloud, though it didn't really show on the outside, his eyes in fact, appeared normal save for the scars that ran across his face and the fact he looks a bit unfocused at times. There was no doubt it would be completely gone soon, and although it saddened him, he was glad at least, that he had been able to see everything he could before it had gotten to this point. Now, he was on his way out of his lands again with both companions at his side. He was glad they were here, because the more his sight failed him, the more he seemed to depend on them to guide him and help him when they were needed. Not only that, but they would definitely be helpful if he ever got in a confrontation. He was sure he'd need to re-learn how to fight and navigate once his eyesight was completely gone, even now he needed some help navigating, but this was all new to him...and truth be told, he was a bit frightened.

But he wouldn't let anyone see that.

He was passing by the falls, making his way to the caves that lay beyond to speak with the spirits. Auster seemed full of spirits, and now more than ever he needed their guidance. He carried a decent sized dik-dik in his jaws, a small offering for the spirits he sought an audience with. But as they were passing the stream that trickled from the falls, a familiar scent reached him. he paused mid-stride, nostrils flaring as he looked around. Likewise, Shiva had caught the scent and her ears flattened. He chuckled when he realized why her reaction was that way. He had caught the scent of the moon child, Anamalech Abraxas. Except he didn't catch the other scents, not yet, anyway.

Curious, he altered his course and had Shiva lead the way. Whether Ana would be pleased to see him was beyond him, maybe he just liked to test his luck some days, and today he was feeling rather...testy, so to speak. As they drew closer, his pace slowed and his companions appeared...antsy...what was that other scent? He didn't recognize it as that of fresh puppies for it had been a long time since anyone in the pack had had any, so confusion hit like a ton of bricks for a moment. When they finally located Ana's whereabouts, he had stopped a few feet from her makeshift den. Slowly he stepped forward until he could peer into the den and there he spotted the Goddess, and at her side he could make out the forms of three little bundles, all brand new. The warm scent of milk and puppies and the sudden realization hit him. Oh no...Oh dear god...these...no..they couldn't be, could they? His heart began to race, there was no way! No, he had to be mistaken..."Ana? A simple and obvious answer, but his shock and confusion was hitting him hard, he had to be sure it was really her in there and not his mind playing tricks on him.

He swallowed. Or tried to, anyway. His mouth and throat felt dry as he stared through the mouth of the den, not daring to get closer just in case. He didn't know what kind of mood the woman was in, nor how defensive new mothers were, but if Shiva's amused purr was any indication, this sure as hell wasn't a dream or a trick of his mind. His mind continued to reel. What did he do now? Did he help her? Would she need anything? Should he go in? Stay here? Guard the den? Oh gods he was so lost...
