The sun shone like a thousand suns upon the back of the darkly veiled she-wolf. Her dark fur was a drastic contrast agains the rocky surfaces and pools which surrounded her. Yellow hues alertly swung side to side, observing her surroundings, ears swiveled atop her head when she occasionally could pause in her trek to listen. Her paw steps would prove near silent aside from the occasional shift of the rocks or trickling of the springs between paw steps.
Regardless, the Dìsìr remained unafraid. She smelled the old scent of other wolves nearby. She remained a good few feet away from the area, as was the way she had adopted to avoid packs she encountered. To remain from the border was the way to show respect, as well as to show non-hostility and avoidance. She would pause and sniff at an awkwardly placed scent marker. Had she not been paying attention she could have walked right through the strategically placed border extension. Nonetheless she carefully manuevered around the border remaining in no mans land with expertly placed paw steps.
He had just spent the early part of the morning in the springs, relaxing and thinking. There was to much he had on his mind lately. His niece and Torin had just started their trip to Abaven right after him and Torin switched ranks. Torin was now the main alpha of Lirim and Frost was beginning to step back like he should be at his age. He was focusing more time on Star since she had returned and since her outing outside of the pack he was feeling like her healing process was coming to an end. Soon he would be able to retire and spend the rest of his days by her side. Maybe there was still even some time to have some pups to raise.
Though for now he still had his duties and he was doing a little exploring today. He had to keep aware of the neighboring territories, look for packs that may have popped up, meet new faces which is something he was always up for. He was a social creature and never passed up the opportunity to meet someone. Moving along the small stones at the bottom of the falls he headed towards the waters edge dipping his head down for a drink.
