[Healing group prompt]
Sunniva had only experienced the cold bite of winter once before, as she was a spring baby. Of course, she'd grown up in a climate that wasn't exactly warm, so it wasn't like she was freezing to death or anything. Still, she knew it would be a better idea to hang out around the southern parts of the boreas, especially since the supply of herbs would be far better. Despite her young age, she was aware that the cold season brought illness, so it was especially important to have medicine stored away.
She figured it was a good idea for her to look for alfafa, the little bunch of purple flowers that was often given to emancipated wolves in an effort to gain more weight. The winter was a time of food shortages, so she knew that the wolves here would need all the help they could get. Therefore, she decided to search the "disturbed" parts of the south boreas for the plant as soon as a relatively warm day arrived.
Walking down the riverside, she kept her nose cautiously in the air, trying to pick up the sweet, distinct scent. After some travelling, she found a patch. Her paws were first used to push aside the cold dirt that surrounded the bottom of the plants. Then, careful as to not disturb the leaves - the part that was used for weight gain - she stuck her snout into the shallow hole she'd created, gripped the plant by the base, and gently pulled it out. She didn't succeed in getting the roots out, but that wasn't a big deal: it was just the leaves she was after. She continued this process every time she found a healthy looking plant, burying it into a shallow hole after each gain.
