Saren had left the den into the rainy weather. He wasn’t sure if it was night or day due to the cloud cover and his lack of experience. The water drops hit his pelt and he didn’t mind them he enjoyed the difference from shelter to the outside. After being in the den it was nice to be able to step out into the world. He wasn’t sure what all it would have for him and he wasn’t sure if he would be ready, but he would have to see it. Maybe not all of it, but at least some of it.

Thalia wasn't quite sure if Saren was supposed to be wandering away from their den on his own, but as soon as she roused from sleep and saw him slipping from the corner of her vision her interest was immediately piqued. Slowly she too slipped from her parents' side, weaving through the halls of the castle after him. They'd explored the corridors before, big open areas that let the sunlight shine down onto the earth, but beyond that they were wildly inexperienced. Thalia was admittedly anxious about sneaking off, but she wasn't wanting to go very far at all... she just wanted to follow Saren.

Before long she'd made her way out of the relative shelter of the crumbling castle and stood outdoors, a gentle mist raining down on her. Unused to the feeling, she shook her head every so often to rid her boat of raindrops and to keep them from falling into her eyes. Briefly she tipped her head to the sky, watching the way the clouds were rolling overhead, most dark grey... when she wasn't getting rain directly in her eyes, of course. After a minute she redirected her focus back to Saren, moving less carefully now that she was surely out of earshot of her family. "Saren! Where you going?"

Sarens’ head turned as he heard the voice of his sister, it seemed she had followed him from the den. He didn’t mind that she had done so, at this point he was seeking less solitude and more change. She asked about where he was going and Saren didn’t have a proper answer. He wasn’t really going anywhere, he had just left the big building to enjoy the outdoors.

Sitting down Saren angled his face towards the sky, eyes closed. Letting the rain fall on his face, “Right here sister.” The outdoors seemed rather welcoming if you asked Saren, it was a place of calm and serenity. Nothing would bother him out here and he wouldn’t bother it.

Well, this was definitely a change if that was what Saren had been looking for. Thalia squinted against the steady rain, deciding that she wasn't sure whether she liked this kind of weather or not. In a way, it was kind of peaceful... but the girl wasn't sure if she liked the dreariness. She definitely didn't love how wet she was getting, that was for sure. Either way, she was stubborn and she pressed on, deciding that if Saren could endure it then so could she.

He seemed to like it a bit more than she did. Hmm. She watched as he tilted his head back to the sky, mimicking him slightly as she padded closer and looked up into the sky, flinching as raindrops hit her eyes. "You like this?" She asked conversationally, giving her brother a curious look as she gave her head a firm shake, raindrops flying away from her in every which direction. Not that it mattered - she'd be soaked again in a few seconds.

Sarens’ pelt had gotten rather wet at this point. He didn’t feel heavier, but he was a bit colder than he wanted to be. He had heard that if you stayed out in the rain for too long you could get sick. Saren didn’t feel like today was the day to take that risk.

He looked back at his sister and said “It feels nice, but I might come back outside later. I don’t feel like getting sick.” He stood up and shook his pelt off like Thalia had done earlier. With a grin on his face he said “Wanna go chase mice in the castle?” He hadn’t taken much opportunity to play with his siblings as of late, maybe this was his chance.

Maybe Saren was right. For some reason she didn't like admitting that maybe her brother was right about anything, but.. they probably shouldn't stay out too long. She could only imagine what their mom and dad would say if they could them out here and they came home not only soaking wet, but also with the sniffles. Thalia nodded in careful agreement, shaking more raindrops from her face. "Yeah, I think so too," she agreed, letting a smile of her own drift over her lips.

"Chase mice?" Now that sounded more entertaining than sitting out and getting wet. Not that she was huge on games, but she did like chasing things and she'd was eager to run around while not under the watchful eye of their parents. Glancing back toward the castle, she turned back to Saren with a curious look on her face. "I'll race you!" She suggested seriously, hardly giving him a chance before bounding off toward the castle again, the way they'd both came.

His sister wasted no time after hearing his suggestion of chasing mice, she had started a race towards the castle. Saren was a bit slow at the start, preparing for physical activity could take a bit. He didn’t care much to win this race, but he figured he might as well participate. Saren started off at a slow walk before picking up the pace a bit, winning had always been out of the question.

Upon reaching the entry way of the castle and obviously letting Thalia win Saren smiled to her saying “Ooh noo you win.” Saren took it as a bit of a joke and chuckled to himself. He wondered if he would actually be able to keep up with her when they got around to chasing mice.
