There was a moment of confusion as she reared back to lift her forepaws up like a puppy begging, and his eyes followed them with vaguely confused curiosity - was she going to try to scratch at his eyes? Inexperienced wolves often seemed to think they could use their nails on your eyes, but the thick dull nails wolves had just couldn't really - holy shit fuck she had fucking tiger fucking claws and those long sharp knives were aiming right at his tender little eyeballs. With a muffled yipe, he squeezed said tender little eyeballs shut and did his best to shove down as hard as he could on Valkyrie's neck in a last-ditch effort to change the angle of his head to protect his face. Despite his girlish squeal and attempt to move away he hadn't realized in time and the claws raked down over his forehead and cheeks, luckily skipping the eyes in favor of the skin and muscle he'd scrunched over them. Dripping blood all over, he planted his hindlegs and sought to wrap his forelegs around her shoulders in a parody of a cuddly hug, in an attempt to pin her forelegs between them so she couldn't smack him around with those pussy paws anymore. Just in time to not actually save him from getting his face lacerated, one of the owls dropped out of the sky to attempt to rake Valk's hips with her talons.

Blood didn't just ooze from the lacerations on his face, it sheeted out in the alarming way head wounds always had and ran into his eyes, down his muzzle, blinding him and filling his mouth and nose with thick choking blood. No matter how much he snorted and snuffled he couldn't take a breath without the blood taking the opportunity to gleefully deive down into his lungs til he was hacking on it and his bresth rattled. Blinded, gagging and wheezing, he was forced to relinquish his grip and back away, shaking hia head enough to regain blood-blurry sight again. Well, he was useless in a fight like this, and he wasn't too proud to know when he had been beat. He hacked up a big, nasty glob of coagulated blood and spat it out before sticking his tongue out at Valkyrie. "Cheater," he declared loftily, ignoring completely the fact that he would absolutely have cheated for real given the chance. "I'm gonna need a rematch... later." he added. The blood loss was starting to make him woozy. Maybe he needed to go lay down. With Delaney missing and Rhythm gone home did they even have any healers who weren't fighters? Whoops. Shit. With a victory under his belt Tyrian spun quickly in search of an opponent. His eyes fell upon a sandy brown male with shaggy hair who had just defeated Asvor. He would do. Tyrian ran at him full tilt, coming in on the male's left side. They were of similar height and build but Tyrian couldn't see any visible mutations and he was hoping he would be at an advantage because of his.

Mid stride he lifted his forelegs off the ground and sought to scissor them around Eldi's waist. Doing so would hopefully allow him to slam his chest into Eldi's stomach squarely between his ribs and hip. His right forepaw sought to wrap over Eldi's back and dig its claws into the top of Eldi's right hip. His left forepaw, meanwhile, was aimed underneath Eldi. Tyrian wasn't looking for a maiming blow and he had no intention of reaching for the nethers. Instead he sought to dig his claws into the front of Eldi's right knee.

For now he would refrain from biting. With his upper half wholly engaged he wanted to hold something back to counter any retaliation that came his way.

Éldi swiftly sealed his victory but things were not looking good for Hjarrandi. From what he could tell it was just him and Valkyrie. He chuckled. "Just like old times, hm?" He had to hand it to Legion, they sure bred monstrous wolves armed to the teeth. Speaking of, he caught movement out of the corner of his eye and grinned as the massive youth he'd originally been eyeing descended upon him. Excellent, the gods must've had interest in seeing their battle. Well, then, Éldi would not disappoint them.

Defenses set he whirled around to face his opponent, pivoting on his left forepaw to bring them parallel. He kicked off with his hind legs, angling in low for the Tyr's left side he threw his jaws wide seeking to bite into the young man's belly, just in front of the left hind leg. His upper jaws sought the side while his lower jaws looked to hook underneath. At the same time he sought to slam his left shoulder up and into the youth's belly while also stepping his right foreleg behind the youth's left hind with the two fold goal of pushing the blades of his bracers against the tender tendons and using his momentum to knock the young man over. He hoped that with Tyr's forelegs above the ground he could move quick enough to tip him.

However when he'd pivoted and attacked he wasn't quick enough to avoid the boys fucking claws. Was Legion just full of mutants? Light lacerations marked his left hip and the side of his left leg. He kept his tail tucked knowing that his hind end was likely going to be in full access. Not a totally foreign feeling. He'd spared Valkyrie numerous times and there just was no way to avoid it when fighting clawed wolves.

Valkyrie knew when she was beaten. The gods hadn't smiled upon her today. She'd been made uneasy by Alfrun's absence at the raid meeting but now she realized she should have taken it to heart. The Hexe had not shown because she hadn't given her blessing. If there was one thing to be learned from this fight it was that Valkyrie needed to heed the signs that were shown to her. If she leaped without first looking this was what she would earn. Though bitter it was fair. She had been properly chastised and would learn from her mistakes today.

Had Chaos still been there she would have blown him a kiss, but since he had already gone there was no one left she felt important enough to flirt with. So she left quickly and quietly; her steps haughty as she spared no glances or pithy words for those that remained of the opposite side. None were worth the effort of teasing like her boy Chaos.
