Okay so the goal had been to find other predators to harass, but an opportunity had presented itself that was just too damn good to pass up. He guffawed and shouted at Natha, who he had walked away from in an effort to better their odds of finding someone to fuck with.,"You are not going to believe this!" There, some ways away, was the bear they had fought not long ago. Apparently it was a wee bear who had yet to permanently leave its mommy because who was tromping along behind him looking like a big ole thundercloud? Mommy bear. She was just barely bigger than her boy but there was enough of a size difference to tell them apart. Well, that, and the young one's many wounds.

The bears appeared to be tracking the duo. Welp, couldn't have that! Jupiter turned to fix Natha with a significant look. "You know you wanna. It'll be a great time. Clearly they've take exception to our defense so in the spirit of continuing to protect ourselves...I say we bust 'em first."

Yep, this was happening. Jupiter threw himself headlong down the hill towards the angry bears. He was ready for round two; momma bear be damned!

Natha didn't consider herself much of a tracker, at least when it came to predators. She was a decent hunter in her own right but she'd never really gone looking for something that could potentially eat her. Jupiter called out to her and she stopped what she was doing and bounded over to him. "Frick, that was just a baby? Good grief!" The mother was huge! If Natha wanted to she could turn the bear's carcass into a little house. Granted she wasn't that much bigger than her growing youngster but Natha had already thought the first bear the biggest animal she'd ever seen.

She sighed. "I don't want to, however…. there is the problem of the mother now having our scent and if we don't-"

And he was gone. With a sigh Natha gave chase.

He shouted over his shoulder as he ran, "Loose definition of baby but sure, we'll go with that!" Had she sighed at him? Was that what he had heard? How rude! He was totally 100% doing this for them so they didn't have a vengeful mother bear chasing them all over the north. No other reason could have compelled him so. No, not one. It had nothing to do with his enjoyment of the hunt or the thrill that came with escaping a maiming blow. Nothing at all.

Jupiter ran as though he was going to plow right into momma bear's chest. Because that's what you did when faced with a bear, right? Go in for a hug? "PSYCH!" he skittered away at the last second with a maniacal shout and ran around behind the bears cackling. While it may have looked like the pointless run of a raving lunatic, Jupiter had a plan. The bears would no doubt be wondering what the hell to do with him which left Natha free to take her pick of attacks. See? Not a lunatic after all!

Natha held back as she waited to see what Jupiter would do, he was clearly enjoying himself though she herself felt nerves bubbling up in her stomach. Still, all they needed to do was just irritate the bears and drive them off. That was more than doable. With the mother bear distracted by Jupiter her left side was facing Natha. Natha charged forward and leapt high again, this time she landed across the bears shoulders, her claws digging in as she bit and tore at whatever she could reach.

But they weren't fighting just one bear. They were fighting two. The younger bear was not out of the fight and he charged for her hind end. Her sharp ears picked up the sound of his approach and she leapt off the mother's back quick enough to avoid the bear seizing her leg but not quick enough to escape unscathed as the bears fangs tore light lacerations on the outside of her left leg.

The mother bear was faster than Jupiter had thought possible. She spun around after him and succeeded in spanking him on the rump. The blow was glancing - thankfully - but her claws left light lacerations down one thigh and drew a startled yelp from his lips. He yelled in a carefree voice that sounded a touch forced, "Easy, lady, there are better ways to get a feel!" That really fucking hurt, actually. He would have to have Darya look at them later and make sure he wasn't going to get an infection or anything stupid like that.

Jupiter ran directly from the mother bear to the "baby" one. If they took turns worrying them and running them in circles around each other surely they would tire quickly and give up the attack. That's what he would do, anyway, if he was a mother bear with a nearly-grown son who refused to give up the tit and required near constant attention.

As Natha evaded the male bear's jaws Jupiter found himself at the beast's rump so of course he tried to take a bite out of it. An ass mark for an ass mark. Granted, this mark was on the wrong bear but as they were a fighting pair it seemed reasonable to consider them a single unit.

Natha flinched and stumbled as she landed, quickly swirling around to get a bead on the situation. She barely had a moment to catch her breath. As Jupiter busied himself with the young bear the mother dove for her. Natha leapt to the side, just narrowly avoiding the bear's fangs. Quickly pivoting she dove back in, leaping to land on the bear's right thigh. Her claws latched in deep, her fangs tearing into flesh. The mother bear roared and twisted around, giant claws aimed for the lynx's head.

Natha quickly abandoned her hold and bounced away this time aiming for the younger bear as the mother gave chase. Natha swiped at the young bear's face, claws raking across its cheeks as the mother came crashing in, unable to stop she collided with her child and nearly crushed Natha between them but the elegant feline just managed to get out of the way.

The bears collided with Natha just barely managing to escape the crush. Jupiter couldn't help it; he roared a laugh. The sight of Natha shooting out from between the bears had conjured up the image of a salmon jumping up stream and the moment was just too funny to let squeak by without a laugh. He would have enjoyed a long belly laugh had not the sound drawn the attention of both bears. They turned him as one and caused the mirth to die in his throat. "Oh, fu-"Jupiter was off like a shot with both bears thundering after him.

"Whoa hey! Hey cat!" Frik he was going to get taken down and eaten by these jokers. "Cat!" he shouted. "Be a lamb and get one of these bastards off me, would ya?" Jupiter zigged and zagged for all he was worth, but he felt like he was only one step ahead of them. They deserved more credit than he'd originally given them, because the pair had him in an ever changing semi circle. When he moved away from one the other closed in and herded him back. And the circle was getting smaller by the minute.

This was crazy! She couldn't believe Jupiter was laughing! Natha was finding it extremely difficult to focus on fighting two bears at once. The longer it dragged on the more tired she'd get, she knew that but there wasn't much to do now. His laugh caught the attention of both bears. Crap! "It's Natha, not 'cat'. One minute." Her eyes fixed right on the young bear's balls. Oh yea, that would get his attention for sure and likely the mothers too. She leapt and latched onto the young male's backside. Her claws moved swiftly as she cut the bears testicles free from his body. It was a messy job but it did what she wanted. The bear began to howl and wail but before Natha could leap off the mother bear seized her scruff and dragged her off.

Natha yowled as the bear's fangs punctured her scruff and sent blood pooling up on the back of her neck. She screeched and twisted around claws raking the bears face her back claws kicking violently at the underside of the bears neck until at last it dropped her. The mother bear started to back away shaking the blood from her head and Natha held her breath. Was that it? Would the bears turn and run or were they still wanting to fight. The mother let out a fierce roar and stood on her hind legs.
