He was going to eat them. Just let the girls wait and see if he didnt. Who relegated him to chicken wrangler anyway? Zee was too busy laughing her ass off to be any help and the pups where too small to be of any use. This gave him shocking dejavu to the times they had spent hunting feathers for deathbelle, and he remembered all too clearly just how much of a hustle all that had been.
When he finally managed to pick up a chicken, grabbing it carefully by its neck, not so much as touching its skin with any teeth as he turned, walked over to Zee, and three the chicken at her with the toss of his head. "Gross! Get off your ass and help before I start hiding baby chickens in your bed" he warned his amused wife.

To watch the hulking titan attempt to gather up chickens was one of the high-points of her season, close behind the birth of her children of course. He was too big and not agile enough to swipe them while they ran, and there was so much clearance beneath his belly that they could congregate there safely out of reach. Zee sat upon a high boulder to watch and laugh, pointing out chickens as they passed under him uselessly. "Hey!" She responded sharply at his threat. "You need to get used to this, soon the pups will be running circles around you too and you can't always have me there to round them up!" Her laughter swelled, and she nearly fell off her perch with amusement. "Think of this as training. I don't need any, I'm already as agile as they come!" Somehow her one win against the brute had definitely gone to Zee's head.

The truth was, her laughter was worth any discomfort, even if it did mean playing fetch with agile little fuckers that seemed to take too much delight in walking under his belly, or squeaking at him and leaping aside at the last second. If he didnt know better, he would think the chickens were laughing at him too.
"That's what I have you, Bast and Marshal for." He grumbled, making another leap-catch for a chicken.
It ran beneath his belly, pecking at his leg in relation, and getting a little too close to the family treasures for his liking. He scowled, throwing down the metaphorical towel. "Look, you catch the chickens, I'll finish mending the fence" he grumbled. Shaking out his coat, and puffs of feathers seemed to fly off him. "Show off your agility to me, my love"

Zee's head rolled forward in mock defeat as he handed off the job, an exaggerated sigh peeling from her lips. "Oh alright, loser. I'll tell tales of this day to our children, on how their mighty father was defeated by the hoard of chickens." She stepped down from her perch, nearly disappearing into the long grass. "You owe me one!" The angry cluckers were still zooming around in the field and their brilliant white feathers were easily visible between the blades of grass. Zee shot forward after one that had curved close enough to her, grasping it around the neck lightly enough that it could kick and flail but not flee nor die. She came up behind Sirius as he worked to mend the fence, leaning her head out towards him so that the chicken could reach only his tail. Hopefully it'd bite him, would serve him right.

"I'm sure I can find an equally flattering story to tell them!" He called after her as she loved away to take up the pursuit. He spoke his head, more then happy to give her the horrendous job. He shook his head again when she said he owed her one. He was pretty sure the mere fact he was even here made them even. This was her handmaidens pen and their rotten idea of poultry owning. Why did he have to get dragged into it?
He got stuck into the job if me doing the fence, leaning forward with a look if concentration on his face when a sharp pain came from his tail end! "Ow!" He barked turning around to see Zee and the chicken. He made a motion as through to snap his fangs just shirt of the chickens neck, a threat to both pesky creatures. "Chuck the silly thing in its cage" he grumbled at his wife. She had far to much fun with things like this.

Zee pulled the chicken back away from her husband's threatening teeth, grinning at him from behind it's feathers. She gently placed it inside the cage, and then leaned back on her haunches to watch him. "You hurt a single feather on any of their heads and there will be hell to pay!" Her own threat was lighthearted, and as moved past him to head towards the chickens once more she bumped his rump with her hip. The clucking had died down since the chickens were no longer being harassed, and she stalked forward towards where they pecked at the ground. The first chicken she leaped for escaped her paws, but another ran in front of her face and she snached it quickly. Once more she took it to the cage, giving Sirius space this time so he'd not be pecked. "How many of these things do we need, you think?"
