gigantic, ginormous, colossal, butt

Oh boy. He was feeling really down and in the dump today. He wanted to go to all the big wide places he had only heard about. He wanted to see a desert, he wanted to step through ruins. He wanted to explore, and go to parties, and meet up with people his age that weren’t related to him. He wanted to kiss a girl. He wanted to live.
Instead, he was being oppressed. ‘Oppressed’ a nifty word, that. It really described his life and his circumstances so well. ‘Subject to harsh and authoritarian treatment’ his parents were ‘authoritarian’ alright. They were down right bullies!
He violently kicked the small stone in his path, sending it sailing a short way across the plains, grumbling under his breath. Maybe he should sneak out, and take his adventure anyway. He thought of the anger and disappointment on his parents' faces. If they caught him, they would ground him for like… the rest of his life.

Ruin hid her mounting frustration better than some. Hate was too strong of a word, but to say she'd grown tired of Abaven was pretty dang accurate. Much to her parent's dismay, Ruin had no interest in playing house, in acting all submissive and sweet, just to fade into the background of pack life. She wanted out and no offence but if anyone thought she'd hang around a moment longer than she needed to then they were pretty numb or naïve. Maybe both. For what she lacked in physical growth her mind had made leaps and bounds in the past few months, gone was the pup who stumbled through her sentences and came up with small times schemes that made her a nuisance at best and adorable at worst. Her schemes were bigtime, vast and expansive and...like trying to start a fire with wet wood they just didn't work in Abaven. Not for a lack of trying.
Donning her hipster glasses, Ruin coasted through the Plains without a care as Lyre followed overhead. The dark shape in the distance was no doubt one of her brothers and he seemed moody. Perfect.
"Who pissed on your breakfast?" She asked, in lieu of a proper greeting, before playfully tugging at the loose skin on the scruff of his neck. Even if only for old times sake.

He looked up at Ruin and pulled a face at her question. “Abaven did” he grumbled. He felt like that pack was always just… there. Hovering over him, like an overbearing parent he didn’t want or need. He could look after himself! He could fight, and have adventures. He could do so much, if only he was allowed to. Why did his parents have to keep him under such a close watch? Why couldn’t he go to the battlefield, or leave the pack on his own? The kids in Ashen seemed to have so much more freedom then he did.
“I just want to learn for myself, Ruin! Dad says bad things happen out there, and yaddy yah. But I want to see for myself! I want to fight for myself, I don’t need him hovering over my shoulder every minute of every day, you know?” he grouched, and looking at his smaller sister, he wondered if maybe she did. He lowered his head and gave it a good shake as Ruin playfully nipped at him, so his ears flapped against her.

Yeah, Ruin could see where he was coming from. Abaven was many things and whilst she'd been raised by a loving and doting family it had gotten old real fast. No doubt there were kids out there about her age doing whatever the hell they wanted, without having to constantly look over their shoulder for a worrywart aunt or an overbearing Mother. These days Ruin felt as though her family were going well out of their way to give her lists of things she couldn't do, hoping it would set her back on the right course. When in reality they were simply pushing her further and further away. Sucks to be them. Her brother's had always been a tad more agreeable than she, more likely to behave, so the fact that he(probably Senryū) felt the same way made Ruin feel vindicated. She'd been right all along, funny that the adults were too blind to see that.
She listened, nodding in all the right places as he went on his tirade. Lamenting that he was smothered and held back, as though he had no control over his own life. At the flat of his ears she made to grab them again, but stopped short as her teeth clicked just off the tip.
"Yeah I know. I've been wanting to leave for faaaar longer than you." She side eyed him, catching his gaze from the edges of her sunglasses. "We'll be a year old real soon. I'm leaving then, I guess you can come if you want."

He looked at the smaller wolf, and believed it. She had always liked trouble the most, through had been running in leaps and bounds to catch up to her list of wrongdoings. Even his beloved Ku had started to fall into line. He remembered trying to urge his brother to go near the stream, but all his twin could think about was how they would get into trouble. It wasn't fair, if they didn't make mistakes for themselves then how would he ever learn his limits?
He pursed his muzzle, flicking his ears back and forth after her aborted attempted to munch on them. Enticing her with their flapping movement to see if she was fast enough to grab them.
But at her last words, he paused. Making a tantalizing target if she still sought to chew his blue flecked extremities. Could he go with her? He would miss Ku, but he was still kid enough to think and know thay their bond was immeasurable and unbreakable. His twin would always be here when he wanted to come back to him. "I've got your back, Boo." He promised his small sister.
