Deer For My Dear
Manea

Killing the sheep in the arid hills had been an incredibly fun pastime, but after the blood had been spilled and the flesh had been rent, Alastor had found himself more aroused from their activities than relieved, frustrating him even further that he couldn't unleash those needs on his mate. The pair of wolves made their way south through a lush prairie as a few darker clouds began to roll in from the west, a gentle rumbling overhead and a static on the air hinting at approaching rain. The weather did little to perturb the massive dire brute as he trudged through the high grasses, black eyes leering viciously out over the plains, looking for something else to release his feral animal on. He could slowly feel himself losing control over the wild beast that was slamming itself against the walls of his mind, threatening to break out at a moment's notice. Maybe some more blood would settle it down long enough so he wouldn't end up raping his mate.
Lifting his nose, Alastor sampled the air for the umpteenth time, this time catching a scent stronger than that of small game. Black eyes grew wider, the smell bringing forth the killer instinct in his DNA. He glanced back at Manea, motioning for her to follow him with a jerk of his head and a rumbling growl, then prowled off in search of their quarry. Cresting a small hill, Alastor spotted the animals: a small herd of mule deer, the bucks sporting their seasonal racks in preparation for a fall rut and the does milling about. There was about a dozen, and although he knew they couldn't kill them all, they could at least bring down two—if not more. Already the demon was salivating, ready to taste the rich wine that was their blood.
Turning obsidian eyes to his mate, he beckoned to the herd of deer. "Care to lead this time, my love?" he asked, more than eager to watch her powerful, divine body leap into bloody, deadly action.

Walking away from those brutalized sheep instead of giving in to their needs and lusts after Alastor's heated kiss was one of the most difficult things she had to do. The way he held her as his lips crushed to hers, the primal look in his obsidian eyes, the sound of his deep, rumbling growl... Gods she wanted him and she wanted him now, but she'd ruin her whole plan if she allowed herself to give in now. She had already resisted this long, she supposed a few more days wouldn't kill them - though even that was getting questionable at this point. She followed him as they tracked down some more helpless prey to take out their aggressions on even though it really just felt like a bandaid for the problem at hand. She was more than happy to murder as many animals as Alastor wanted, though after they were done here she was going to double down on finding their sacrifice so they could finally have their relief.
She caught the scent of their next target just moments before Alastor got her attention and motioned in the direction they should go, following him over the crest of a hill. Once the herd of deer came into view she hummed with delight as she watched them milling about, blissfully unaware of the destruction that was about to befall them. She gave him a glance when he asked if she wished to take the lead this time, giving him a grin. "I'd be happy to, my darling." She looked back at their prey for a moment, aqua gaze following their movements as she picked apart the herd and decided where she wanted to start. Her gaze landed on one of the bucks that lingered near the fringes of the herd closest to them and a smirk crossed her lips as she silently started working her way down the hill toward them, crouching low so that she was nearly invisible moving through the tall grasses of the prairie.
Her feline paws and movements kept her movements silent as she crept up to the herd, practically on top of the buck before he ever noticed she was there. She slid up beside the creature and just as it looked down at her with wide eyes she leapt up, latching her deadly jaws onto its throat and yanking it down to the ground with ruthless efficiancy, barely letting it get a sound out before she ripped apart its throat and left it struggling and flailing as it bled out at her paws.

Alastor watched Manea's movements with silent appraisal while the fae slunk down into the taller grass of the plains. Although he could easily pick out her purple coat moving through the verdant grass, the deer seemed to have a much harder time of it, peacefully unawares of the two harbingers of death stalking them. Alastor followed Manea's lead, slipping down into the grass, his massive black form notably harder to conceal completely, but the grass did its job while he crept closer to the does. He had to pause every so often when one would look up in his direction, freezing entirely and only scarcely breathing until it was safe to move again. Just as he drew close enough to pounce, he watched as a flash of purple made a buck disappear entirely without so much as a bleat. He grinned to himself; Manea was a master of the ninja takedowns.
The other deer looked up when they heard the rustling of the grasses, trying to figure out what was going on. Alastor used their distraction to his advantage, leaping up to snatch the closest doe by her throat with his massive fangs crushing her larynx before she could make a sound. The doe's legs kicked feebly while Alastor kept a death grip on her throat, the animal trying to cry out for help, but the dire wolf's teeth had destroyed her vocal cords. The deer could only make a couple of quiet wheezes like a deflating balloon, and then its struggling slowed as Alastor choked the life out of it. Unable to draw in any air with strong lupine jaws holding her windpipe shut, the doe fell still within a matter of minutes. Empty black eyes glanced around the herd with the body hanging from his muzzle. The other deer were beginning to look spooked, but still hadn't put two and two together yet. Perfect.
Dropping the fresh corpse, Alastor swiftly navigated the grasses to the next doe like a velociraptor, this time lunging at the animal with a violent snarl as he burst from the sea of green like a deadly black missile. The doe squealed in terror while sharp claws ripped into her chest and fangs tore her carotid and jugular from a ragged wound in her neck. Alastor was bathed in a spray of hot blood, each pump of the animal's strong heart covering him in another jet of hot crimson while he started to eat the deer while she was still alive, chewing on the chunk of neck flesh he'd torn away. The doe's bleating sounded the alarm and the herd began to flee, leaving their doomed companion to bleed to death beneath Alastor.
"Hahaha! Run, you cowards, run!" he shouted, then took off after the deer, a manic look in his eyes and a disturbing, bloody grin on his face. Heavy paws thundered over the earth while he gave chase, looking to make sure Manea was following while the hunt kicked up to the next level.

Mean felt blood pool around her front paws as the large buck bled out, keeping a vicious grip on its throat until it finally stopped moving with a satisfying twitch. Her lips parted in a bloody grin as she peeked over the top of the grasses just in time to see her mate pull one of the does down beneath the grasses almost nearly as silently as herself, picking off this herd of deer like assassins in the night while these dumb creatures remained none the wiser. She crept through the grasses to reach where Alastor was finishing off the first doe, remaining hidden until he leapt from the grasses, bringing down another doe far more violently and viciously than the first. She didn't think she would ever grow tired of seeing how his muscles rippled under his dark coat when he moved, a true, powerful force to be reckoned with with every ruthless, blood thirsty desire at his disposal.
She followed suit with a grin as he yelled at the herd to run, sending the rest of the deer flying across the prairie in that looping bounce that deer used as their gait. She charged forward along with him, chasing them down with this man that was her perfect other half, the only brute that she wanted to have at her side in every battle and hunt for the rest of her days. They caught up with one of the does and she ran along side it for a moment before she gave a stabbing motion with her head toward its side, the sharp ridge of horn along her skull catching the soft flesh behind its ribs and tearing it apart. The doe made a pained bleat as it stumbled and struggled to stay on its feet as blood poured from its side, Manea taking advantage of this to grab its leg and fully pull it to the ground, tearing open the skin across its belly and worsening her first wound, her paws pinning the animal down while she disembowled the still screaming doe until it finally succumbed to the blood loss and shock.

Racing across the prairie with the wind in his face and tousling his fur made Alastor feel alive. A wide grin on his face, a wild gleam in his eyes as the animal inside him ran free, running down the bounding deer without a care in the world. Off to his side, he caught a glimpse of Manea downing a deer in his peripheral vision, hearing its frantic screams as she tore the animal apart. Alastor didn't stop his chase though. He ran past several of the does, causing the herd to split apart. The dire brute had his eyes trained on one specific kill: the largest of the bucks at the head of the herd, just ahead of him. Alastor's muscles rippled as he thundered across the plains, gaining on the buck in no time flat. With a powerful leap of his hind legs, Alastor shot through the air like a missile and pounced onto the buck's back, his claws sinking into its flesh as he straddled the fleeing cervine.
The buck screeched and bellowed in terror as it immediately tried to throw the wolf from its back. Alastor held on tight, riding the buck like a bronco, all the while using his claws to hoist himself further up the deer's back, leaving rivers of blood running from the wounds he created. Despite its best efforts, the deer was unable to buck Alastor from its back, and with a feral snarl, Alastor latched his jaws around the base of the deer's neck and bit down hard, squeezing more and more until he felt the snapping of delicate vertebrae between his jaws. The buck gave a startled squeal and collapsed as its legs instantly stopped working, sending both predator and prey crashing to the ground. Alastor rolled to his paws, advancing on the paralyzed prey while it huffed and squirmed to try and move, but it was crippled.
Bloodstained teeth gleamed in a macabre smile down at the panicked deer from the wicked black face of the wolf while he studied his prey. The animal was already dead, even if it didn't know it yet. Ever the violent artist he was, Alastor stepped over the deer, grabbing the animal by its heaving chest and rolling so it was belly up. Sharp claws sank into the deer's chest, and powerful muscles strained and rippled beneath black and red fur while Alastor began to tear and pry the deer's chest open. A chorus of manic laughter came from the brute mixing with the deer's screams of dread, blood and gore everywhere as, with a sick and satisfying snap of bones, Alastor pried open the deer's ribcage, exposing its chest cavity to the world. Empty black eyes gazed down at the mosaic of organs and viscera exposed to him as he eyed the jewel he had been hunting for: the deer's still beating heart. With a vicious snarl, Alastor dove down into the chest of his still living prey, grabbing its heart in deadly jaws and ripping the still beating muscle from its body.
The deer gave a violent spasm as its body began to shut down with the removal of a vital organ, dying almost immediately while Alastor climbed off of the carcass. Clutching the deer's fresh, bloody heart in his jaws, he trotted like a happy puppy carrying a stick back over to where Manea had bled her kill dry. The rest of the herd had broken off an escaped, but he had gotten what he wanted. Coming back to his mate, he beamed while he presented her with the deer's heart, setting it down on the grass at her paws. "For you, my galaxy! Since I can't literally give you mine, I hope this will be a suitable replacement!" he said, smile wide and tail wagging happily while he stared at her with a ravenous hunger, trying his best to resist the thoughts and urges of what it would be like to push her back into the soft grasses right now and ravage her body until she screamed his name.

Just as she was finishing her latest kill in their series of brutal murders, she heard the distinct sound of her husband's manic laughter that made her ears perk with interest. She easily abandoned the doe who now had most of its guts strewn out on the ground and instead went to find her mate, spotting him a short distance across the prairie. As she got close enough to see what he was doing, she saw the buck he had captured with its rib cage ripped apart and Alastor's head dipped down into the chest cavity, clearly hunting for something in particular. She watched him from where she stood with an amused grin, waiting till he lifted his head with the buck's heart between his jaws, causing the deer to spasm under him before finally falling still and silent.
He trotted over to her proudly and dropped the heart at her paws, making her grin widen with his words that were wonderfully sweet and horrific all at the same time. For someone so ruthless and blood thirsty he still had such a thoughtfulness in his own way and it was the things like this that made her love him more and more with each passing day. She chuckled as she looked at him with a similar ravenous hunger, wanting desperately to let him have his way with her. But she'd resist just a bit longer. Soon enough they would be celebrating properly. "Thank you, my darling," she told him as she stepped closer to him, resting a large, bloody feline paw over his chest. "Nothing could compare to your heart, but I would like for it to keep beating for many years to come so I'll settle for this deer's heart instead." She grinned and brought her muzzle to his, kissing him hard for just a moment before she pulled away again.
"Come on, my demon. Lets get back to the cave. Pick any of these deer to bring back with you for dinner. If you're good I'll give you a little dessert." With a smirk over her shoulder she trotted off toward their temporary home, grabbing one of the smaller does to carry back with her as well.
