Fishy fishy (Solo seasonal)

Brushing up on his hunting skills, the Ademe made his way down to the stream that circled about the Ashen Shrine. It wasn’t too far a walk, and made a change from the usual fare of small runners he often chased. He sat in contemplatory silence beside the body of water, as he watched the stream run quickly through its tracks.
There had been steady rain of late, he had often heard it battering down upon his sleeping den, or stood amongst it during his patrols. Today, he found that the excess water had raised the level of the stream and pushed the current. The quickly moving water burbled and rustled as it swept away.
He also found that there were plenty of fish within its body, if he would but just brave the chance to enter it. The fire marked wolf didn’t need much prompting. He crept closer to the edge, careful to keep his shadow from falling across its reflective surface. He stood there, poised and prepared for a time until a particularly large fish deemed to swim close. He waited, and waited, and then he dove forward. Diving into the water at a lunge that brought him over the fish. He had intended to snag it in a paw, but the slippery creature was harder to grab then he had anticipated. It darted to the side, and he swam after it. Mindful of the heavy current already dragging at him.
He dove under the water, his silvery eye open in its depths as he watched his chosen fish dart further and further away. He turned a slow circle, even as the water pushed him further away from where he had entered. Most of the fish were keeping away from the fiery wolf in their midst, and after a time he was forced to surface. Taking in a deep breath, he still did not fight against the current. Instead he let it drag him as he swam to shore, and heaved himself back up again.
Perhaps not his best attempt at fishing. He lay his soaking body down upon the shore, and looked into the water again. For now, the fish were still keeping clear, but after a time, new fish that were swimming downstream towards him did not know of his presence. They got bold again, and swam closer to where he lay. This time, when a nice sized fish swam close, he threw himself head first towards it, and speared it on his elongated dire fangs.
Success.
