Come down, come down sweet reverence

Jynn had gotten a later start on her journey south so by the time she arrived at the beach the sun was beginning to set. But oh was it beautiful! She padded across the smooth black stones of the Obsidian Beach which sparkled gold in the red orange and yellow light of the setting sun. Storm clouds rolled in low on the horizon in a mix of reds, violet and orange. Yellow lightning streaked through them and farther back she could see a soft blue sky beginning to be studded with stars. She looked out across the ocean, the water illuminated in orange a violet hues as the waters rolled in. Man it was pretty, though she wondered if she should search for shelter or if the storm would miss her.

It had been a nice day, overall. Now he was searching for a good spot to bed down, and the storm clouds that had been rolling in towards the mainland had only amplified his interest in finding a little hollow to call home for the night. The beach had called to him, drawing his paws closer to the water without his intention behind them. Viridian eyes caught the flashes of lightning in the distance, and then fell to his paws to notice that the ebony sand reflected each strike in its a thousands of glittering granules. A soft gasp pulled itself from his chest, eyes widening with awe. The healer wandered slowly down the beach, skirting the lap of the waves as he watched each lightning strike in the distance mirrored in the dark sand through a ripple of shimmering pearlescence across the beach. Bog all but bumped into his friend's long legs, caught up in the magic of the lightshow by the water's edge. A quiet grunt of surprise escaped him, and he stopped short. A deft paw pulled his mask off, and he grinned up at Jynn. "Here to watch the storm?" he quipped, tail nub twitching gleefully at his rump. "speech" thinking "others"

Jynn settled on the edge of the beach, watching the lighting play across the sky and enjoying the coolness of the air. The rustling of stones alerted her to someone approaching and as she turned she realized it was Bog. Grinning, Jynn bounced to her feet and bounded over to smaller male. "Bog! Hey it's good to see you, how are you doing? Yea, the sky is just so pretty I thought I'd sit and watch it for awhile before heading to the cavern south of here. I heard from another loner its a sight to see." Of course what other wolves considered a 'sight' was up for debate but she had no other plans for the evening and figured she may as well check it out.

Jynn more than matched his enthusiasm with her greeting, and he couldn't help feeding of her excited energy. "Bog! Hey it's good to see you, how are you doing? Yea, the sky is just so pretty I thought I'd sit and watch it for awhile before heading to the cavern south of here. I heard from another loner its a sight to see." she said, earning a hum of interest from the swamp dweller. After all, hadn't he been looking for a cave of sorts when he got here? Maybe Jynn would stick around for the night and they could head off on a new adventure in the morning! "I've been alright, decided to try and escape the winter for a bit and head south. Tryin' to get around the southern packs and into Auster, I heard it's still nice and warm." he chuckled, tail stump still wiggling with delight. A peal of thunder from over the water echoed all the way to reach his ears, and he glanced over to check on the storm's progress. Lightning arced across the dark cloud, reflected on the turbulent water much the same as it made the dark sand gleam. "Mind if I tag along? I think a cave might be a good spot to be soon." he said as he looked back to his friend, noticing the creeping sensation of tingling that seemed to linger over his hackles. The air was starting to get charged, the storm would be rolling closer soon, no doubt. He pivoted so he could step out of Jynn's way and let her take the lead, following her south if she chose to let him join in. "I don't think I've ever seen a storm roll in like this, the trees usually block out the storm and ya just hear the thunder gettin' closer until the rain comes down." he commented, verdant eyes trained on the approaching thunderhead with a hint of awe. "speech" thinking "others"

Jynn stretched her front legs out, her toes spreading as she pawed at the smooth, dark stones below her feet. It really was a unique beach. She'd never seen one like this before. Her ears perked up as Bog laid out his plans. She bounced right up to her feet. "Hey, so am I! I figured Auster is the place to be. You're welcome to travel with me." Of course, she didn't really have much of a plan once she got to Auster. There were so many neat territories it would be hard to pick one to go to first. She looked out again at the storm, taking a fresh look at it. She supposed if Bog had always lived in the swamplands he'd never had a chance to really see a storm like this, let alone amidst a sunset.

"Yea, it really is pretty." She sighed. "I suppose we should get moving though before it rolls in."
