After she left the garden from going to talk to Aliana and get the treatment from her, she went out to the stream and cleaned herself up. She had no doubt that she still smelled heavily of Chimera and Aliana and even though it would be impossible to get all of that scent out of her fur she could at least wash away the remnants of what they had done. While she was bathing her thoughts shifted to Siren and guilt twisted her stomach. She had forced herself not to think about her love while she went to see Aliana because she knew she had to get the contraceptive before anything else, but she knew once she was done here she would have to face the sweet, delicate face of her Queen and would have to admit why she had been away for almost a day and a half. It was late now so she slightly hoped that Siren would simply be asleep when she reached their room, but she knew if she was she'd just be laying awake while the shame ate away at her.

She shook off and started walking back into the building and down the corridor that would lead her to Siren and her steps slowed as she neared the door. What was done was done and she was at least happy about the development that had happened in the relationships she had with Aliana and Chimera - though they had developed in directions she had never expected. She didn't know what they would feel about each other when they saw each other again in the light of day, but she saw them both completely differently now and they knew far more of her than she had ever intended for them to. She stopped just shy of the door to their room, her ears flicking back as she gathered up her courage. She thought about how she had reacted when Siren told her what had happened with the man she called a water god, how hurt she had been, how she had walked away from Siren and she fully expected Siren to do the same. She expected Siren to send her away and she would have deserved it if she did.

Dalila forced herself forward, quietly slipping into the room that was faintly lit by moonlight that was streaming through the windows that lined the wall, some light curtains blowing in the breeze over them. She walked into the room toward the bed, and a shift from the beautiful Queen that laid there told her that her hope of Siren being asleep wouldn't come true. Her ears folded back as she walked over to where Siren was laying, hardly able to meet her gaze. "Siren... There's... I need to talk to you," she whispered, glancing at the sleeping pups. They were far too young to really understand or remember anything that was said, but she didn't want to risk waking them up either. She gave a nod toward the room that connected to their bedroom, the study that they had converted into a place for them to store and prep their healing supplies, giving her a questioning glance. She didn't wait for an answer, turning to go into the separate room to wait for Siren. If Siren didn't want to talk to her she still didn't deserve to be in the same bed as Siren right now so she'd sleep in here if need be.

Siren often slept on and off throughout the day and night. With the dangers of the sun on her pale son, and white marked daughter she was awake on both ends of the spectrum. If they wished to be creatures of the night instead of the day Siren wouldn’t stifle that. Not that either of them had even left the room they were born in yet. Siren was gazing down at their tiny sleeping forms now. Though she couldn’t really say Albion was tiny, especially compared to Scylla. He was growing like a weed and she knew they would have mere weeks before he surpassed her height.

She smiled softly as she watched them, feeling Dalila’s missing presence keenly. All of them really, Chimera hadn’t come visit her, Aliana hadn’t checked in. She had seen no one but little Cerberus in the last day and a half, and by now she was starting to worry. Siren knew Cerb would tell her if anything terrible was going on outside the island. Her stomach felt like a pit had fallen out beneath her when Dalila returned to the suite.

The Queen lifted her head as dual toned eyes lifted to Dalila’s mottled features. The expression she wore was one she hadn’t seen since they had settled their differences. Caramel ears fell to her skull as Dal spoke up softly, guilt flowing from her sweet lips. Then she motioned for Siren to follow her into the other room and was gone. She knew at least Chimera and Aliana had been with Dalila, but why had they all stayed away from her for so long?

With a heavy heart Siren bundled her sleeping children and stepped off the bed to follow the mottled she wolf into their herb storage. The scents on Dal’s pelt were further masked by the pungent smell of the storage here. "Dalila?” She asked softly, approaching slowly as uncertainty gnawed at her.

Dalila fidgeted and shifted uneasily while she waited for Siren to join her, pacing a couple of times across the room while she tried to gather her thoughts. She had thought a lot about how she would explain everything to Siren, but now that she was here it all felt scrambled and not good enough. The guilt was eating her alive and the uncertainty of how Siren would react kept her on edge. A few moments passed and then Siren's delicate form crossed through the doorway, making her ears fold back as she looked at the beautiful Queen and how she looked silhouetted in the moonlight that came from the room's long window. Her heart ached at the thought of losing this woman's love, but if that's what Siren wanted once she knew the truth Dalila knew she couldn't deny Siren that reality. She briefly moved past Siren to gently close the door behind her, not shutting it all the way so that if the pups made a sound they would hear, but enough that it would help block out some of the sound of their voices.

Turning to face Siren again she sighed and settled onto her haunches, her pale gaze fixed on the floor in front of her as she wrestled with the shame that threatened to eat her alive. "Siren, I... I'm so sorry," she said softly, shrinking into herself. "I drank one of the bottles of wine that the boy from The Hallows brought because I was trying to relax so I could get some sleep... This heat has just been awful and instead of making me go to sleep when I was drunk I..." She whined softly, turning her head away so there was no chance she might see Siren's reaction. "I went to Chimera. I begged him to help. Aliana was there... I... I slept with her too. Chimera kept us both there for the rest of the night and most of the day... So that's where I've been."

She braced herself for the worst, fully expecting and feeling like she should deserve Siren's disappointment and hatred. She expected nothing less than being thrown out of their room and shoved out of Siren's life. She thought about all of the nights they had spent together, all the days and all of the time spent living side by side, and she couldn't help but be deeply disappointed in herself for ruining it. But worst of all, she thought about how she had treated Siren after she found her washed up on the beach and couldn't think of anything about how guilty she was over that now. "I'm so sorry, Siren. I turned myself into a hypocrite. I pushed you away and punished you for what you did and now I understand and I'm so, so sorry for how I acted. I let my body get the best of me and I couldn't stay loyal to you even when that's what I had wanted from you. I'm just... I'm just so sorry."

Dalila moved to shut the door, then sat between Siren and the threshold. A look of shame covering her features and slumping her shoulders. Dalila wouldn’t meet her gaze, but also wouldn’t leave Siren waiting for very long. The words that fell from those lips stunned Siren. She started with an apology, knowing before how shocking it would be. Siren almost insisted she could offer her herbs or anything else to help her, but then confessed to going to Chimera.

Caramel ears tightened to her skull as she confessed to having both their King and his mistress. Her brother always did exactly what he wanted, and she knew that Dalila likely didn’t have to beg him very hard. Like Siren had submit to the call from the water spirit Dalila’s inhibitions had been dissolved and she sought another. Chimera was different than a stranger though. Siren wasn’t upset at her love, but there was a squeeze of pain around her heart. Siren had been left behind, her priorities were caring for her two precious godlings in the other room. She couldn’t be there for Dalila or Chimera.

Silence fell between them, Siren didn’t do anything as thoughts of all kinds raced through her head. Dalila wasn’t done, her confession continued. She apologized for everything that happened after she’d been returned to the beach. Siren wasn’t sure another moment had hurt as bad as Dalila’s refusal to accept her decision to raise the puppies she’d just given birth to. That hurt had been so much more severe than this. More than hurt she felt relief. Relief that she wasn’t the only imperfect one.

"I forgive you,” Siren whispered quietly as she took a step forward and tentatively reached up to lift Dalila’s chin so she could meet her dual toned gaze. "I lived without you once, and I can’t do it again.” Siren admitted quietly as tears filled her blue and silver eyes. "I love you, no matter what, Dalila."

Dalila waited for the disappointment and the anger she deserved, she waited through the silence that met her after her confession and continued to expect the reaction she thought she should get from Siren for what she did. Not only did she recklessly give herself over to Chimera after Siren did so much to get her away from her brother, but she went against everything she had hated before and had done everything she had gotten upset with Siren for doing. She didn't deserve Siren's kind heart or forgiveness or love. But she felt Siren's gentle paw turn her head to force her to face her, blinking as she looked down at this gorgeous woman and listened to her sweet words of forgiveness and love. Dalila looked at her with disbelief for a long moment, her brows pulling together as she tried to make sense of it and failed.

"Siren..." she whispered with a shuttering breath, her blue gaze clouding with tears. Her fear and dread melted away as she looked into those familiar two-toned eyes, hearing the truth in those words and being more grateful than she could ever express for her sweet lady's understanding. She reached out to gently pull Siren into an embrace, holding her lover against her chest and kissing all across her crown and cheeks while tears rolled freely from her eyes with the relief that washed over her. Her lips found Siren's and her eyes closed as she hugged her tighter and just savored the feeling of Siren's lips on hers for a moment. "I love you too, Siren... I love you so much," she whispered against her lips when their kiss finally broke, her paws gently stroking Siren's back and sides while she held her. She couldn't say or promise that she would never lay with anyone else ever again, but what she could promise was that no one would ever hold a place in her heart like Siren did. She discovered that the potential was there for her to have room in her heart for others, but Siren would forever be her priority, her first love, the one she would give her entire world for.

After she was finally able to calm down enough to ease her tears she leaned back a bit, smiling softly as she lifted a paw to softly brush Siren's cheek while she continued to hold her. "Ali gave me some herbs to help prevent me from getting pregnant," she admitted after a moment, still speaking softly. Her smile faded a bit when she thought about the other woman and the situation she was in, her ears flicking back. "There's a pretty good chance that Aliana will be though... I told her she could move in here with us if she needed help. I hope that's okay. She... She seemed pretty upset about it." She gave Siren another gentle squeeze and dipped her head to kiss the top of Siren's head again. "I just know she doesn't really have anyone besides Chimera and he's the cause so... I just wanted to make sure she knew she wasn't alone."
