Naiche had died. Naiche knew he’d been dead for a while and by the way things looked now it must have been a truly long while. If he was dead then how was Naiche here? He could feel earth beneath his paws as he walked across the landscape. Not that the golden wolf knew where exactly he was. An island and, to be precise it was sand under his paws, not dirt. He had been content in death and oddly felt unsure about how to feel back on the world yet not real. The notion of returning to his child came to mind but how cruel would that be? He had seen his dad die would it be a tease to see him again just for Naiche to leave? Perhaps it was best not to search them out. Perhaps what he should do is look for answers and, explore. The small wolf made his way to the strange building. Naiche hesitated on walking into someone else's home before realizing he was being foolish. No wolf living here could harm him! The gold wolf grinned as that thought set in his mind. If he wanted to check out the building, explore, and look for answers, who could stop him? Naiche made his way inside, a more casual stride once he realized there was nothing to fear. The golden wolf stopped here and there, looking over the strange place as he moved along. The mushrooms and crystals had been strange when spotted, but the more Naiche thought of the fireflies the more an old memory came back. Would he have the ability to bring the dead back to life? Siren’s thoughts were always on her babies, once she had become a mother many of her priorities had shifted. She was no longer as selfish as she once was, no one had ever relied on her like Albion, Scylla, and even Cerberus did. When they were nursing she thought the task was difficult but now that they were sick her efforts were even more difficult. Siren had only just gotten her babies and their lives were already in danger.
The Queen had promised her daughter that she would fix her, but everything so far hadn’t helped them at all. Siren could keep them comfortable and alive for now, and that was what really scared her. These would be her only children, she couldn’t start over, they were far too precious to replace.
Delicate paws padded along the resort’s halls on her way to care for the ailing children when she was forced to halt. Dual toned eyes widened as she saw the ghost standing before her. She’d seen hints of spirits and she had always seen apparitions, but there was something about this man that was both familiar and terrifying.

The golden-hued ghost meandered along wondering what would happen should he run into another wolf. It didn’t take too long before his question was answered as he paused near a tiny pale colored wolf. Naiche looked at her quietly for a moment, ears up as he tried to recall. There weren’t exactly many wolves out there as small as her and indeed she was an adult. “Siren?” The wolf gave the name slowly, testing her reaction. It was the only wolf he recalled who had also seemed absurdly small. The simple question of name was followed up with two more, “Where are we precisely and do you know how I got here?” There was a pile of questions he could ask, certainly more things he wanted to know. If Siren didn’t know how he came to be here though then the rest were probably pointless. It would be polite to ask how she was doing but Naiche had other matters on his mind than chitchat politely. Everything was strange in the world right now which had him really questioning how much time had passed since he died. Assuming this was Siren then it wouldn’t be a crazy number of years. Surely it had to be a while for all the strange qualities that had come upon the land. "Naiche"

Her eyes grew wide when the sound of her name reached her ears. He was speaking to her. This ghost… Siren had to sieve deep into her memories to realize where she knew him from. He’d been very close to Mortis about the same time she had been kept in the Armada. He was obviously ethereal, and the real question was… Had Naiche turned into a ghost or was this some strange cruel dream.
"Fenmyre... Auster.” She answered him hesitantly. If this was a hallucination it was different because he was interacting and talking to her. ”Are you sleeping?” Siren asked in return, completely unaware why he was here or why he would appear to her of all wolves. She couldn’t even really remember his name. "I didn’t summon you, if that’s what you’re wondering.”

Auster. Niche wasn’t sure about ‘Fenmyre’ but auster he knew of. He had only been so far south one other time and that was traveling with Tamsyn when searching for the reaper that had gone missing when Naiche had just joined the armada. It seemed like forever ago and maybe it even was. “Sleeping?” The one word mused with some wry amusement, “You could say that I guess? Sleeping of the permanent sort,” he paused saying that before adding, “at least, I should be.” What to do from here was the question. Naiche sat down apparently making himself comfier, “I wish I knew how this happened and if it would last. Do you have any children Siren?” It might seem an odd question but children were very much on Naiche’s mind. Should a dead ghost finding himself back in the land of the living seek out those he had loved or not? Was it good to let them see the dead again or make it harder to accept them as gone if they had found a way to come back for a period of time? How long did he have? Would he ever quit existing in this way? "Naiche"

Siren honestly didn’t know what she was seeing as she looked at Naiche before her, though she still hadn’t quite recalled his name fully. As he answered her she realized this probably was no hallucination, the man had died and his ghost now stood here before her. But why? How? Why her? Neither of them knew or would ever know.
Siren didn’t take a seat as the spirit did, she wasn’t near that comfortable with what she was seeing. He wondered quietly about his situation then looked back up to her and asked if she had children. Siren didn’t follow his train of thought, but answered him anyway. "Yes, two young pups.” Who were very sick, and everyday she worried about losing them to this bizarre illness.
