Living a Nightmare

The past weeks or the ones that were behind recently were undoubtably the best of her life even when her more hidden feelings got the best of her. Alastor in her den every night was just that large portion of the life she wanted or at least what she had believed was the large portion. As the days went on, and finally when him and Manea made up and he started working things out and moving back into his family was when she really realized the big chunk of the life she wanted wasn't exactly what she thought. It seemed she was always learning, or yearning for more than what she was given. She was taking steps without realizing it and very nearly tripping over the edge.
With Alastor back with his family, as it should have been, she was filling more of her time without him. They still did things together, but there were those times when he ran a patrol and she would go out to hunt or something of the like. Sometimes being inside the pack was too much. She'd never admit.
She was this far out from the pack because of that, and she did recognize the strange Autumn that surrounded the lands here she just didn't pay much mind to it. Her paws in a mindless wander until she made it far enough to head back before the night was over. She walked beside the river bed in that blank state of mind, and it would take her a moment to see almost this golden glow across the grasses around her that made her stop in her tracks.
