The sun was starting to lower and the sky change colors by the time Bae-Syl crossed into the pack lands. The pelt was strewn over his back with some care and his jaws occupied by his little goody bag. Lucy was likely going to be worried he wasn't coming home, but he hadn't smelled or seen any of them at the borders so he figured Bells had likely kept Lucy as calm as she could. A snort passed from him at that. Lucy being calm over his safety was like him not caring if another male flirted with her. His paws were leading him right for the Denning area. His eyes were distanced and the blood had dried by now. He had done a good thing and likely Lucy would see that when she was done chewing him out for getting hurt. The cougar honestly could of hunted any of her siblings or even Lucy or gav. It had no fear of pack borders either. His pace was slow and his back slumped as he limped into the area. He moved to set the bundle down outside Bellamy and Gav's den then to go towards Lucette's. If he was gonna have a healer worry over him, it would be Lucy. She was more skilled than she let herself believe. If he wasn't stopped he would limp into Lucy's den and pull the cat's pelt from his pelt and lay it amongst her bed, before crawling onto it like the good patient he was. A stupid grin on his face, knowing he was in for a chew out and heal session. Walk, "talk", Think |

Bae-Syl was in the pack with her at last and his presence brought a sense of comfort and relief that Lucette hadn’t even known she’d been missing. That night she approached him, found the mangled coyote, he claimed that he had been ready to attack her… but no. Lucy didn’t believe that. Maybe it was foolishness on her part, a naivety, but she truly believed Bae-Syl would never be able to bring himself to hurt her. Demons or no demons. But as she kept herself busy that afternoon, primarily working with her father to set up doses of herbs for Bells and sort his stores to check for any older herbs that needed to be replaced, she couldn’t help but notice that she hadn’t from Bae-Syl all day. By the time evening had come she had started to get worried, leaving the cave behind the falls to start investigating the lands. Surely he was just patrolling, right? He was supposed to keeping busy, primarily in the territory of the Creek… The pixie frowned, ears falling as the sun started to sink lower. She wasn’t quite sure why, but something felt… off. Bae hadn’t checked in on her at all, either. She was circling back around to the cave when she caught sight of Bae-Syl heading in. Her ears flicked forward and her eyes widened a little. Uh oh… what was he doing in there? The cave acted as a den for her folks… and formerly herself before she moved to the creek to be with Bae-Syl. Was he hoping to find her there? Lucette hurried in, first peeking towards her folks den. Thankfully all of them were out… she could smell blood and her stomach churned as she glanced down at the bag… what in the name of the Divinities was in that? She pinned her ears back, turning away, heading further in, towards the cavern where she’d been denning before. There had been a couple furs left behind and that was where she found Bae-Syl. There was an additional hide with him, one of a cougar, and Lucette’s eyes widened. He was supposed to check in around lunch time… and instead… he got in a fight with a big cat? Slashes on his flank, on his shoulders, and it looked like the thing had gone for his face too. Lucy drew in a breath, shaking. “Bae...” She tried to make her voice hard, angry, but there was no hiding the tinge of worry that was there too. “Where were you? You… you do realize I don’t sleep in this spot anymore, right?” Despite herself, despite herself wanting to yell at him, she was already moving, her green eyes frantically taking in the damage. Her own store of herbs was at the creek… she was going to have to raid her father’s. “Didn’t you learn from the buffalo!?” Her green eyes shot to him. A swirl of emotion. Anger. Hurt. Worry. “You almost got gored then, and these slashes are deep!” Her lips quivered. “You can’t keep taking on large beasts by yourself! You’re going to get yourself killed!” She wasn’t giving him any room to speak. She drew close to his face, pressing her nose against his colorful skin. “Do I need to send mom after you next time you’re late for check in?” Shit, the tears were pricking her eyes. Angry as she was, she was worried too. And she couldn’t just be angry with him even if she wanted to be. The bleeding had stopped, but this was right back to when he got hurt at The Range and they both got hurt. “I...” Her voice wavered, anger and confidence faltering. “I need you to be careful… I can’t bare losing you again...” Her gaze fell as she fought to keep her tears contained. Dammit… some great healer she was. Every time something happened to Bae-Syl she let her emotions get the better of her. Rule her… what was she going to do if he ever got a wound where time was of the essence with treating him? What if his life slipped through her paws because she couldn’t hold herself together…? He hadn't even laid there for longer than a few seconds, then there was Lucette. The big grin didn't falter. He was damn proud of what he had done. He had already known he would be in for a lecture and ear chewing from his pixie when he got in, He had been late and she had every right to be worried. He couldn't hide it though. His big stupid ass was grinning from ear to ear. His tail was thumping as he laid his head down and waited. His ears were pricked and he laid his head down as she started in. She didn't even give him the chance to explain or tell her what had happened. He didn't expect any less from her though. He let her bombard him with her concern and questions, not even trying to halt her words. That big goofy ass grin never left his face and his tail didn't stop wagging, even as she looked about to cry. Of course he didn't want her to cry but he felt like he had done something great for the pack. Once she had stopped for a good moment he finally spoke up. "I tracked it from not only the creek, but from the falls not far from here to the woods." He lifted his head and looked her in the eyes. He had so much pride for what he had just done. Not only that but he was doing something useful. She might be mad but even she would likely see, the cat had been much too close. With the tiger recently they couldn't of took the chance either. "I couldn't just let it get away with coming so close, wouldn't want it to get one of your siblings. Besides what kind of help would I be if I couldn't even handle one cat by myself, your mom needs the rest." "Talk, 'Think.' |

She had finally fallen quiet enough for Bae-Syl to speak and express why he had done what he had. So it has been near their territory, possibly testing their borders, and Bae tracked it down. Her ears remained lowered at this information, her heart picking up pace in her chest. Another big predator so close… one that could hurt their smaller members… possibly with ease. How hard could that be when, for some of them, foxes were bigger than the wolves? Lucy felt her stomach churn. Bae had the best intentions in mind, had done what her mother had asked of him, but…
"You are still one wolf." Lucette's voice was quiet and she didn't lift her head. Tears still made their way down the girl's cheeks and she sighed. "Mom does need rest… but you won't be able to help her if some stupid cat seriously hurts you… or worse." She turned on her paws. "I… we're too far from my stores. I'll have to use some of dad's. I'll be right back." The pixie glanced at him, anger fading like a snuffed candle flame. Only the worry and sadness remained now. It was so hard to remain mad at him, even when she wanted to be…
Luce was only gone for a few minutes. When she returned she came back with her father's bag with the herbs she'd need. In her maw, however, was a dripping clump of moss that she immediately used to start running water over the deepest gashes on Bae-Syl's body. It was only once she had done that and set the moss and bag aside she looked at Bae again with a whine.
"Just… please be careful, Bae… for me… I get so worked up when I need to treat you… if it was ever any worse I… what if I couldn't?" She looked away. "What if… what if I got too worked up… and… and you died… because I couldn't treat you fast enough or well enough…" More tears. They stung her eyes and Lucette shivered, reaching her paw for the bag of herbs.

Mental health (particularly depression and anxiety) is extremely bad. Currently unable to handle IC conflict or conflict between characters, pack related or individual. I am struggling to post even simple things and will not be able to continue with thread if approached. Sorry for the inconvenience but I just can't right now.
Lucette has two companions - a kodkod and a saw-scaled viper. Unless otherwise mentioned IC, assume that they are close by.
Bae-Syl, as Lucette's bestie, guardian, and mate is welcome to invade her threads at any time regardless of how they are marked.

He didn't stop her crying, if he would have she would just be angrier most likely. But he watched as she processed what he told her, letting the severity of the cat's transgressions sink in. Bellamy had tasked him with keeping the pack safe and he had done just that. The cat had been big enough that if Luce hadn't been paying attention she might of fallen as its prey, maybe even her smaller siblings. Not that he would let such blasphemy happen. When she spoke again he lifted his head and crawled closer to her. Was she that worried that he would let himself fall to such things as wild cats and bears? He held his tongue though as she let her feelings on the situation be known. He hadn't thought he had done too much, maybe gone a little far, but the cat had trespassed. It had committed a great crime in doing so in his mind. He let her move off to gather what she needed without hesitation, situating himself so she could tend the wounds he sported from the cat much easier. After all he stood almost 4 heads taller than her. When she returned he laid his head back down on his paws and waited like the good patient he was for her to do as she needed to. His eyes never left hers though except to close when she cleaned the bite over them. If anything he was likely one of the best practice dummies for her to treat, since he would do anything she asked easily. When she started in with more words though he was quick to lift his head and this time he aimed to wrap a massive paw around her and pull her to him. "I am careful, and you should stop doubting yourself, for me. Your one of the best healers I know, your kind, patient and willing to try anything to help others out, even if they don't think they can be helped. As for me dying, pah, as if I would go down so easily. And if i couldn't get to you for treatment im never so far away I can't just call you. And I'm certain if you can't fix it you will ask your dad and he will teach you how to." He was certain in his words and firm. He would release her after a moment and he was sure the words he had said hit home for the pixie. Walk, "Talk", Think |

It felt like she could barely focus as she pulled the herbs out. She’d managed to lightly clean the wounds, but she still had to mix the herbs to apply onto them… not to mention pull herself together. Something that Bae-Syl was quick to aid her in. He reached out, drawing her close, and Lucy didn’t resist. She let her smaller form rest against him, letting her eyes close as she focused on her breathing and his words. It was so easy to get overwhelmed when it came to treating him… but… he wasn’t completely wrong either. Sure they had some scares, but they were both still here, weren’t they? And she had been learning as much as she could, always trying to learn more from her dad. She drew in slow, steadying breaths, giving a small nod. As long as he would be close… and she would always be able to reach him. And… and if worse came to worst she could rely on her dad. Her dad would guide her.
“Alright…” The word was exhaled, but Lucette felt at least a little better. “Just make sure you’re never too far from me.” She moved to the herbs she’d pulled aside. Marigold and willow bark would be able to do the trick, right? The worst of the bleeding seemed to have stopped… She needed to worry about making sure that it had medicine so if he shifted and the wounds started bleeding again it wouldn’t be too bad. Plus the marigold could help prevent infection from what she remembered… and having a poultice smeared over the injuries also helped them from getting dirty. Knowing Bae-Syl, he’d rest just long enough for her to calm down and spend a little time with her before he tried going out to patrol again. She had to admire that about him though, and everything he was doing for her family… for Ethne.
“Just lay still while I get this stuff prepared. It might sting some.”[/color] She took the bark into her mouth first, since it would be a bit harder to get to the point she needed it to be. Once it was near where she wanted she took in a couple of the dandelions as well, chewing the whole plant as it mixed with the wood. She was careful not to swallow - wouldn’t do a lot of good in her stomach whens he needed it on Bae. Her face became focused as she worked, feeling how the mixture’s consistency shifted as she chewed.
