Kotori hadn’t roamed the woods in a while and in a way it felt like going back to a childhood haunt.  The woods hadn’t been part of the armada’s land necessarily but it had been one of his favored spots to hunt back in those days.  Now the ashen and armada had moved further off and the amount of prey had grown around here.  The scent of wild boar and their droppings were apparent east of Kotori.

The scent of the tiger came from the west.  Kotori turned his head, scenting the air gain more closely as his muscles flexed, readying for a fight.  In a setting like this, you’re more than likely going to smell the silent hunter before you get to see it.  Would a cat really be dumb enough to try and attack Kotori?  They were pretty dumb.

Kotori moved left and right a few paces till he determined where the cat's scent was strongest and moved forward.  Once he got near one of the willow trees a striped cat growled threateningly as it charged forward, throwing itself for Kotori’s neck.  The wolf jogged in a circle around the cat as the two each tried to draw first blood.

Remus had settled into their new home in the ravine and the near by canon just fine and liked it well enough, but that didn't stop his wanderlust from striking and bringing him back out this direction–especially now that the weather was warming up with the coming of spring. He certainly enjoyed exploring and seeing the world change with the seasons, even if it was lands he had already seen. He wasn't super familiar with the willow forest that was past the Armada's old stomping grounds, but he knew it well enough to know where it was and to use it as a land mark to know how far he had gotten as he moved through the south of Boreas.

As he walked though some of the long-branched trees, the sound of growls and a scuffle across the dirt caused him to stop, his two-toned gaze pivoting in the direction of the noise. With a frown, Remus stalked toward the sound of a fight, peeking past the draping tree branches until he spotted the earthen hued male that was currently in a stand off with a tiger. That would certainly explain the growling. He didn't immediately recognize the male, but that didn't mean he didn't have a reason to help. Remus waited for a good opportunity to jump from his hiding place and right as the pair circled by again and the tiger's tail passed by within reach, Remus sprung out, snapping down hard around the flicking, swaying tail. The big cat yowled and immediately tried to swing around toward him, but Remus quickly let go and hopped back with a cheeky grin.

Kotori almost laughed when the new wolf bit into the tiger's tail.  Ah well, laughing could wait until after they had a new striped pelt.  For that maneuver, he imagined the other wolf could have it if the guy wanted.  

The tiger couldn’t look in two places at once and with its anger, it had chosen Remus as the new target.  Kotori angled his head down and charged, slamming both his weight and his horns into the cat’s haunches, knocking him a bit off balance and doing decent stabbing damage at the same time.  The tear wasn’t clean as he had to jerk his horns out and leap away before the angry cat had a chance to bite at Kotori’s neck in revenge.

What had the tiger upset more?  The fact that two wolves had now injured it or, the fact it seemed like the two wolves were finding this fun?

"Kotori Fatalis"

He grinned and did a hop backward as he avoided the tiger's angry swipes, enjoying how much he had riled up the big cat just with a chomp to its tail. Perhaps he should be more cautious, but it seemed like this guy could handle himself so he might as well have a bit of fun with it while he was at it. The brown, spotted man dug in with his horns and slammed into the tiger as he was distracting it and keeping its attention, but its attention was swiftly taken away by its new injury. He glanced up at his fighting parter partially to make sure he got out of the way in time and partially to give him an impressed grin. He didn't wait too long to get in his own real blow though, using the opening that was made as it turned away from him to target the big cat's side. Putting his head down he charged forward as well, slamming the hard curve of his horns into the tiger's ribs. His horns were too long to really do any stabbing, but it was certainly hard enough to nearly nock the tiger off of its paws and knock the breath out of its lungs–maybe even crack a rib if he was lucky.

Remus and Kotori seemed to work relatively well together.  Two horned wolves, one able to stab and slash while the other could bash and crack. The tiger had no choice but to work on balance and gain its breath after Remus hit.  That meant for a second it wasn’t attacking and leaving a great opening for the two wolves to follow up.

Kotori used the opportunity to step in close, his shoulders even with the cat’s, sinking his teeth into the tiger’s neck, tearing off what he could but there was no time for giving it a good thrashing.  The tiger was recovering fast, at least enough to retaliate in a wild and desperate manner.  There was no strategy to its attacking now, only trying to protect itself.

Kotori jumped back and to the left further, grinning as he eyed the blood flowing from the wounds on the tiger’s neck.

This tussle with the tiger was proving to be a fun one and the two males worked well together as they fought back against the big cat that had clearly bitten off more than it could chew. Unlike the multiple bears that they had fought recently, though, the tiger seemed to have enough wits and understanding of its situation to understand when it had messed up before it was too late. After his bashing of its ribs and Kotori biting into its neck, it seemed to know that it was outmatched and as quickly as the fight began it was over. The tiger trashed and squirmed to get away, scrambling back to its paws before darting off into the near by trees with a trail of blood flowing behind it. Remus briefly considered going after it, but with wounds like those he didn't think it'd get all that far anyway. So he let it go and chuckled as he shared a bit of a grin with the spotted male who had become such a frequent fighting partner.
