Elysia wanted to spend some more time with Ezekiel. Her brother had been playing politics lately, proving his worth to their cousin and leader; Sephrian. To say she was a bit jealous was an understatement. She understood that they had to make themselves useful but she also hated sharing Ze’s attention with anyone else. So the more time he spent bonding with Sephiran and making himself useful, the more she felt abandoned.

So she decided today was their day. If that meant she had to pry Ze from Steph’s jaws herself she would. She was determined to get her one on one time with him if it killed them both. So she paced the doorway to their little home. Waiting to see if he would be showing up on his own accord or if she really would have to go toe to toe with her cousin just for a day with her brother.

She wanted to take him to fight something. To relive the glory days of their childhood. After all, with Aresenn’s lesson bringing up the memories for both of them. She figured it was as good a chance as any to launch themselves into learning to work together, getting quality time and doing something useful all in one.

Since Ezekiel had been reunited with Elysia and pulled into the fold of the Syndicate, the young man has spent time trying to make his presence known with the band. Sephiran has been testing him and the boy does everything he can to not piss off the huge purple male. Yet, as he runs patrols, hunts for food, and does other various tasks, all that he can think about is returning to the makeshift den that he shares with his sister and holding her. She is the reason that Zeke is here after all and he had crossed an entire ocean just to reach her.

It is difficult for him to balance personal time with Sephiran’s demands but he has been able to wiggle himself free for breakfast today. Trotting to their little den, Ezekiel is surprised to see El standing in the doorway with a rather determined fire blazing in her eyes. Paws falter as he approaches and he pulls to a stop in front of her, where he reaches out to lovingly nuzzle her check, if she allows it, and softly rumbles, “You have that look in your eyes El. What are we going to kill today?” Stepping back, a smirk pulls at his maw as his eyes dance with mirth because he can read her like an open book. Zeke is all hers for today.

Elysia eagerly greeted her brother, allowing him to nuzzle her cheek, she returns the gesture before planting a kiss to his own cheek. And then she smirked. Her brother knew her better than anyone and always seemed to read her mind before she could ever say anything. If anything that made them the perfect team.

“I was thinking I’d steal your attention from Sephiran today, I’ve been feeling rather neglected lately” she said in a pout. One she knew would hurt her brother's heart. And she was banking on that. “So today, we are going to hunt down and kill us a bear” she beamed.

They needed a new pelt for their home, one that would keep them warm at night. And if Ze also didn’t know how to skin a bear, she’d show him just the way Abinthe had showed her.

“Let’s go” she called before she shot off into the trees.
