As spring set in the cream and white woman trekked far into the north. She had avoided coming this far in the winter, preferring the warming climates. So when spring hit she thought it was a good idea to go north and explore. She had heard of The Wall and couldn't believe the stories she heard of this place and had to see it with her own eyes. She was in no rush to get there but marveled at the expanse of the place. Her eyes, once of hot red fire the other an icy cold blue were wide as she looked up at the wall. So the stories were true. She snorted and trotted along the wall. Perhaps there was a way up. She wanted to see the view from the top. To look down at the world and just for a moment get an idea of what a bird's view was like.

It seemed to take nearly all day before she could find paw holds up the side of the wall. Sure it was not safe, maybe even a little stupid. But Alessa loved to challenge herself, loved to do what seemed impossible or dangerous. She loved to prove she could do anything. She didn't need anyone she watch her, make sure she didn't take a wrong step, to catch her if she slide. Her movements were taking with care, eyes narrowed in a determined expression. Slowly but surely she made her way to the top. What a glorious adventure! She knew once at the top it would be worth it. She stood there at the edge, wind whistling through her fur. It was so crisp and fresh up here, the air seeming untouched, unsoiled. She felt like she had never breathed in air such as this. The tug on her fur made her feel alive. Slowly she opened her eyes to gaze down over the wall. A smile broke out over her face. Was this what a bird saw all the time it took flight? To see the world look so small and far away?
