Time had passed since she had last seemed the monochrome brute. Their afternoon on the beach had been an enjoyable one, one she wanted to enjoy again and again. The storm had passed, making it safe to venture to the mainland once more. Debris blanketed everything even as the earth tried to rebuild itself. She had long let her coat dry, washing away the salt water that made her feel dirty. It crossed her mind to seek out the man, for only a moment she hesitated. It was unlikely for her to find him in such a vast place, even if he had told her that his pack resided in the caves.

Long limbs would carry her towards the north, thinking that there maybe caves within the mountainy terrain. Instead she found herself approaching something she had never seen before. It would bring her steps to a halt, lifting her crown to better examine that massive form of wood. She would not approach, but rather slowly make her way around the foreign building, nostrils flaring taking in the scent. She would lift herself up onto hind legs, her front paws pressing into the wood, toes flexing against the material.

Dropping back down, she found herself wanting a way in. She could smell other wolves around, ones that had clearly found a way in, and now she wanted one herself. She would circle until she found a suitable place to climb. Claws would scrap against the wood, muscles bunching to push herself up the slope until she found herself on the deck. Verdant gaze would sweep the area, taking in the strange sight. Slow steps would be halted when the wood creaked beneath her weight. She would shift her weight, testing its strength before she continued to inspect the surface of the ship.

The ship was rather close to home. Taking the time to travel was something that eased his mind, a chance to wander and forget that there was a very distinct piece of himself missing. She had not been there when the ground quaked and the sky filled with ash - she could be hurt, she could have been killed - he simply did not know. Perhaps he never would know what had happened to his sister. It made him sick, to think opposed to wandering off in that silent way that she did, to think that she was just... gone. Her existence erased, her life swept away with the turmoil of a natural event.

He felt alone.

Amenti was a place for him to return when he had no where else to go. He knew not how to serve the King there, for he had never told him want he wanted besides allegiance. And so Aeron would leave, ignoring the smog, disregarding how quiet that things had become after the quake and eruption... and simply walked. He ended up at the ship by mere chance.

Or perhaps not completely by chance. The young male would pause, coming out of his daze and waking up for the first time since he had left home. There was something familiar about this unfamiliar territory - a scent, a someone - and as soon as he was truly focused he knew exactly who was here.

Sibelle...

What was she doing out here? He would follow her scent, moving far more swiftly than the dragging pace he held before. Not caring for the large wooden structure, he was focused on the russet girl and she alone - it was not until he realized that she had found a way in that he would truly look upon it. It seemed... unsafe. Splinters and shaky flooring and creaking in the wind would offer a split moment of hesitance - before he would unknowingly follow suit. His stringy frame would pull him up a bit slower than he would have liked, but with a bit of struggling with his back legs, he would find himself on the deck.

Each step that he took creaked loudly, but he would barely notice that - because bi colored eyes would fall upon Sibelle's figure - and he would find himself feeling something that did not want to swallow him up for the first time since he realized his last bit of family was gone. "Sibelle - you are far from zee islands." His voice would meld with the creaking of the ship, but break through the silence with ease. He felt far too loud... "Do you know vat zis zing is?" He certainly did not.

The creaky of wood had the russet woman spinning, defenses immediately falling into place, lips curling back, ready to attack whoever dared to intrude upon her. Verdant gaze would meet a familiar bi color one and immediately she would relax. A smile would lighten her features, her tail wagging behind her. "Aeron!" His accent filled her audits, a please sound that she was slowly becoming accustomed to. "Bonjour." She would let the French greeting that he had taught her to roll from her tongue, much more easily this time, as she bumped his shoulder with her nose in a gentle greeting.

"I wanted a break from the island, theres only so many places to go there." An explanation would be provided to his first comment. It appeared, much to her disappointment, that he had no idea what this thing was either. A shrug would lift her shoulders as she departed from his side to further explore, this time finding a dark tunnel that led into the belly of the structure. "This way."

She would beckon him closer as she disappeared below deck, eyes slowly adjusting the dim light. Steps creaked beneath her weight, the wood groaning in protest. Limbs stretched carefully, her moves cautious so as much to fall. She would finally reach the last step, audits falling back to listen for Aeron. Her moment of distraction would cause her to stumble, the wood of the last step far to rotted to hold her weight. With a cry of surprise she would tumble down in an ungraceful heap. Blood would seep from a cut along her ankle, a frown tugging at her features as she lifted herself, favoring her wounded limb.

She was excited to see him. He could hear it in her voice, see it in her smile - and when she greeted him somewhat clumsily in his tongue, he would return the sentiment with a smile of his own. "Dame Roux - Miss Red, Bonjour." The reply came naturally, and although he didn't have too much of a sense of personal space, paired with the emotion that she greeted with him, he would flush slightly. Sentiment was new to him, even if space was not something he thought much of. She overloaded his meager senses, and left him struggling to hold onto the void in loosing track of his sister.

Although he felt it was some sort of sin, he would place his despondence aside, because Sibelle was here and he really didn't want to miss any of her company. Perhaps she could help him locate Silana if she needed a break from her island? "If you seek adventure, the North ees a good place to start." There was a lot here, such a vast amount of territory, and despite most of it being covered in snow, he never felt that he had seen it all.

This thing that they had found was a good example of that. Aeron would watch her wander away, his visage returning to a more neutral expression. Yet as she wandered further she would disappear into a small cavern, beckoning for him to follow. A woman with a journey in mind, he would not call for her to return - but obediently follow. Immediately he would be plunged into darkness - following closely behind the russet woman. When she paused, he would do the same, his head tilting as he wondered what she had stopped for. A moment later, she would cry out - and the male would rush forward - unknowingly skipping the step that had given out beneath her feet. "Sibelle? Are you 'urt?" The yearling called out, his voice filled with unabashed worry. Immediately he could smell blood - and his stomach would tighten, he should have warned her earlier.

When he reached her side, he would look her over as well as he could in the darkness - only for his nose to bump hers as she shakily got back onto her feet. A moment would pass, and he would meet her eyes as he waited for her response on how bad she thought the wound was. He knew nothing about healing, but she would have to get out of here and properly clean her wound. "Maybe ve can leave through ze bottom. I don't vant us using those again." His eyes were adjusted now - and the old boat had a few tiny holes that light peeked through where the sun hit outside.

He had followed her closely, pausing when she did and moving forth when she did. And for the first time, she would hear a sincere emotion in his voice as called out to her. His nose would bump her own and for the briefest of moments she would allow hers to linger there before pulling back slight to answer his question. "I'm okay, just a little cut." A half hearted smile would attempt to pull at leathery lips.

He would suggest another way out, using the belly of the beast rather than returning up to the surface. She would look around them, uncertain. There were holes within the boards, but she wasn't sure they would fit through any of them, unless there were more deeper within the wood prison. Her paw would lift and simultaneously her crown would drop, tongue appear to wipe away the blood that dripped from her ankle.

She would meet his bi color gaze, scooting closer and leaning against him lightly. A sigh would heave her sides, her leg burned and now they were stuck. A frown played on her lips as she thought. She certain didn't want to be stuck down here. And her wound would need to be cleaned, she needed to make sure that there were no splinters in it and it would heal properly. "Now what?" Words would float softly from her lips, her crown tilting towards him, her question written all over her face.

They would come to a stand still. With no way up after nixxing the stairs, and no known way down, they would take a moment to recollect their thoughts. Aeron would peek at the russet female as she leaned on him, his bi colored eyes on her lips as she tilted her head to speak to him. Her question was a very good one - he was not completely sure. Yet he did not want the two of them to remain idle here for long, he wanted to take a look at her leg in the light of the sun. At the same time seperating from the other lupine's side was not something that he quite wanted to do. She was warm, and unlike the snow which he found comfort in because it was cold - like him - she was the opposite. For a moment, he was baffled - unaccostumed to such a feeling, not even toward his beloved, albeit missing, sister.

His mind a bit of a mess, he would slowly step away from Sibelle, careful not to remove himself too quickly lest she be leaning on him for support. "Stay." He would comment, his single word not a demand, but a request. "I vill be right back." They had not fallen too far considering, there should be another level or maybe two to this dilapidating wooden structure, but that would mean more steps and he was very slow to trust them after what had happened to Sibelle. Yet it was with her in mind that he would slink through the darkness, further and further down the hall. The only thing other than his own steps and breathing that could be heard was the occasional movement of what he assumed were rats or other vermin that had made their home here to hide from the wind and snow.

"I vouldn't suppose you know zee way out." He would whisper with a hint of sarcasm, and of course they would not answer. The horrid creatures could speak like any other on Alacritia, and yet he expected nothing to begin with. In the end - near what he assumed was the middle of the hallway that he saw the hole. "I zink I found something." He spoke - loud enough for Sibelle to hear him from the few meters or so away she was. "Zere's a 'ole, and a pile of boxes below. Zey look more sturdy zan zee stairs." With that they would be a step closer to reaching the bottom - where he was sure the wind and snow would have weathered away some sort of opening. From the outside it seemed like it had crashed here?

"Do you vant me to see where it leads first?" He would ask once he returned to her side, he didn't exactly want her climbing down into who knows where with her injury. Yet if she didn't want to be alone here, he would not tell her no - only watch her steps more carefully than his own as they went.

A soft command rolled off his lips, bringing amusement to her features. She would oblige, remaining still as he pulled away from her side. She sat with some reluctance he went to find an exit for them. She would look around herself, eyes roaming over the curvature of the belly of the ship, eyes adjusted to the darkness. Shadows would play tricks on her eyes, enticing her curiosity. She would rise, her movements slow as she approached the sides of the ship, careful to test the wood beneath her weight.

Audits would twitch, the prospect of escape pulling her away and towards the sounds of Aerons voice. He would approach her, wanting to know what she wanted to do. She would close the distance between, brushing against his side. "Let's go I don't like being stuck here." It was a ticking time bomb being trapped within the dark belly of the wood structure. She didn't like it. While it was fascinating to see and explore, she was injured and the stairs where not reliable for an escape. There was no doubt in her mind that she would return one day and finish her exploration.

She would allow Aeron to guide her, her pace slow, paws carefully placed. Light trickled in through rotted wood and small holes within the walls. Vermin could be heard scampering to and fro, their squeaks adding the eeriness. Their noises echoed in her ears, pushing her closer to Aeron. She would remain mostly quiet, pools of emerald still wandering, as they made their way to the exit.

Sibelle would want to go with him, and Aeron would accept it immediately, his bi colored eyes resting on her a moment before he lead her forward. The brute was surprisingly aware in this darkness, of their closeness, of the slight smell of Sibelle's blood and of the creaking ship that they were currently stuck in. It seemed that the wind outside was beginning to pick up speed as night creeped closer. In a moment of protectiveness as she pressed closer to him he would nudge toward her as well, his tail sweeping beside her back leg behind them. It was going to be alright, he would do his very best to make sure of that.

The hole was large enough for the two of them to fit through one by one, and the boxes, as old as they were, were well put together and protected from the ice and snow rather well. They were stirdy enough for he and the russet princess beside him to use as makeshift stairs, and with a warm warning to the lime eyed female to watch her step, he would hop down first one paw after the other until he was on the ground again. A floor lower, this had to be the bottom, right? Down here he could faintly hear the waves, maybe even hear them crash slightly against the front of the wooden structure. "Ve're close to zee bottom, i zink." He said quietly, and after taking another moment to listen, he would pause, something catching his eye. They were bones but... they were covered in some odd sort of soft material. 'Something died down here...' He would inch closer, curious about what sort of strange creature this was - they were large, and reminisce of the monkeys that howled on the islands but...

They were definitely much larger. "Vat are zey?" The lupine would question aloud, before looking back at Sibelle. She needed to leave, but she had come here to explore, hadn't she? Maybe they could take a good look at this thing before they found a way out. His eyes would catch on something that the thing was wearing where its neck would be, it glinted and shone and Aeron faintly recognized it as jewelry. But would Sibelle want to wear something like this? It seemed to match her eyes... But it would be a gift, something that Aeron had never really given before - and with the understanding of a pup, he knew that it would serve as a reminder of who had given it to her, as well as be something that made her all the more unique. All he had to do was figure out a way to get it off of the bones of the dead giant. "Strange creature - it must have owned zis zing." And died down here, its flesh picked off by the rats.

He would lead her to the exit, guiding her down the boxes into the lowest levels of the structure. She would glance around, taking in the sights of the strange bones that were covered in clothes. She would stay beside Aeron, following him to one of the piles of bones. A shrug would lift her shoulders. "I have no idea, I've never seen anything like it." Her eyes soon caught the sight of something around the dead creatures neck. It was so pretty, it mesmerized her.

She would leave closer, nostrils quivering, taking in the scents of the strange creature before bumping the necklace that hung around its neck. Aeron spoke again, and he was probably right, but she had never anything like this. it was fascinating. She would turn to look at him briefly, excitement glittering in her eyes. It was all so strange and yet so exciting.

OOC- sorry for crappy post. they needs to have a feely thread so I can get her muse up

Watching the red lady beside him, he found the proper word for her while she was entranced - mesmerizing - the way she gently stepped forward despite her injury, nosing the jewelry that he had already envisioned glimmering around her neck. Exploring with Sibelle by his side was probably the most interesting thing that he had ever done - despite the mishaps. And yet they would have to cut this journey short, as the woman was hurt - and Aeron didn't want her down here any longer than she needed to be.

But first - she didn't have to ask for what she wanted. The good sized male would slink over to the skeleton's side, before pushing it over, knocking it onto it's side where what he assumed was it's head... simply rolled off. He wanted to take it as a keepsake, but it was a bit big, and would probably end up being a hassle to carry around. Besides, the real prize -was the little glimmer of gold that had shone in Sibelle's bright green eyes. With his gift in his mouth, he would nod toward the girl with a tiny smile on his dark lips.

He wanted to give this to her in the light.

"I am sure it von't mind too much." He would say, half serious, before sniffing at the sides of the boat - looking for corners that gave off some subtle sort of draft. Signs of weathering, or rotting, or being eaten away by rodents or insects were all looked for - his only clues to getting he and Sibelle out of here quickly. Finally - there seemed to be a little set of boards that was coming a bit loose. His head tilted for a single moment, wondering whether this was what they had been looking for the entire time. Without another second of hesitation he would raise onto his hinds and push against the wood, ignoring the inevitable splinters as he put all of his weight into trying to get the wood to budge.

Eventually it gave a shudder, and then a good long creak - before it cracked enough for him to see the sun through the splits. With a few forceful pushes against the wood, Aeron reeling back and slamming his front paws against the boat, he would pull back when the rotting wood crumbled, and the ground - maybe a foot or two below them, was visible. "Finally." He would say, the jewelry still hanging delicately from his bottom jaw, hooked gently on one of his canines. He was being careful not to shut his mouth and break it, making his words come out a little slack jawed. "After you ma cherie." He would say once there was a hole big enough for either of them to fit.

She would hear him creep closer, feel the warmth radiating from him as he leaned towards the skeleton. She was lean back as he pushed it over, what appeared to be the head falling and hitting the floor with a thud. He would pluck the necklace from the corpse, a small smile playing his lips. His words had her laughing softly, "I don't so either." She would agree with him softly, watching as he moved away, searching for a way out once more.

It didn't take him long to find a weak spot, his weight behind his strikes soon had the woman shattering, leaving behind an opening for them to escape. Relief would wash through her, finally they could get out. He signaled for her to exit first and she did, first peering out of the whole to check their surrounding. Her russet bodice would slip through the hole, the light blinding compared to the darkness of the ship.

Turning to wait for Aeron, she would shake out her pelt, removing the dust and other debris. Her gaze would drop to her paw as she lifted it, carefully examining it. Despite the small mishap, she had enjoyed her adventure with the mono-chromed brute. He was quiet, but there was something about him that captivated her, that left her longing for his presence after they parted ways. Her gaze would lift briefly to watch him, a ghost of a smile playing on her lips, the necklace still hung delicately from his jaws, swaying back and forth with each of his steps.

"I should probably return home soon before my brother starts to worry." Part of her was disappointed to have to part ways with the man, but she was exhausted and the swim back to the island was looking worse and worse. She would sit up straight as he approached, her paw still lifted so as not to touch the ground. The bleeding had stopped, but it still throbbed.
