It was time to eat, and so Australis had left the small den to find something for him and his sister. Ever since their parents abandoned them the two had relied on the plants around them at a younger age than most, having not been introduced to solid meat.And now that his parents were back he found himself staying away from them, continuing on as if they had never returned. Why should he get all happy over them? The boy would shake his head as he approached the falls, swatting at a lone pebble in his path. He wouldn't allow them to take another piece of his heart should they leave again, which he was very sure they would. He would be strong, learn to survive on his own, learn to protect his sister, to help her learn also. They would have each other, could count on each other. The thoughts would be pushed aside for now, his gaze falling upon a bush with what looked like berries growing along the small branches. 'There they are.'
