ooc: Edited to fix table! c:

Ah, it was nice to be back in the north of Alacritia. She had had a good journey in Siberia, away from the responsibilities of being a pack member. While she had been gone with her close companion, Vask, her pristine icon had become longer furred from the cold, but her heart was iced over, colder than the ice itself that she should thread on with great ease. A scent would betray her coral nose, clinging to her as familiar. Since her return, she had heard of one of her half-siblings, Roman, whom had taken control of a pack of her own. Inspiration by family was the best, wasn't it? Not to this champagne pelted tempest. It only proved they were better than herself, and should she gloat in great amounts, she would not be afraid to slice her half-sister's throat. Tongue swiped over coral lips at the sensation of blood at the thought. However, she would keep up with her pride, and only shed blood if necessary.

Coral pads led the tempest toward the borderline of the Tortugan's pride and jest. Ah, she did not care if she would be confronted. She could battle against any foe worthy enough to resist her charming figure. Or she could simply request the Queen of Tortuga, to aid her, as assert herself of royal blood, as an Armada, spawn of Isardis. No matter. Ruby gems would scan the snow-covered heavens, a smile spreading upon her coral lips. This was fine land the Armada would hold in her paw, perhaps a large pack thrived here, or not. It would do nicely should she decide to challenge. As soon as the tempest ghosted past the boundaries, sickness clung to her nostrils, but not strongly as currently violently running. Recent, it seemed the sickness had come and gone. "Queen of Tortuga, Roman Armada, I wish to speak with you." The call was slick and smooth, pouring from the tempest's lips like venom, dripping with honey, as her lithe figure would await the arrival of some lupine to at least amuse her.

Only a life lived for others
Roman was convinced that the red woman's cure was poison - Qanik might have been inclined to agree, made nervous by the stranger's behavior, but Gossamir had confirmed that none of the herbs were poisons. Still Roman was convinced, and Qanik was nearly at her wit's end with worry.

The scent of an intruder on her patrol was almost a relief, a distraction from the worries and fears chasing themselves endlessly through her mind as she paced the border. Her purely white form moved smoothly through the snow, blending with the wintry environment as only she among the Tortugans really could. The intruder too had fur of white, but the coral tinge of an albino stood out like traces of blood on the snow.

The intruder called for Roman, and her voice made Qanik's pelt prickle uncomfortably. She could not let any know that Roman was still sick - it was a serious weakness and handicap for the pack and with the red woman undoubtedly peddling her cure to the other packs it would leave them vulnerable to attack as the only sick pack remaining. Blue-gray eyes flashing with more fire than they had in some time, the legionary stepped forward, breaking her previous silence. "Queen Roman is not available. You are trespassing in Tortuga's lands, stranger. Say what it is you need to say and leave peacefully, or you will be expelled with force." Her low voice was calm, her stocky body poised with the ready confidence of a life-long warrior, but her stance was not outright aggressive. It was not in her to initiate violence when diplomacy would still serve; she would let this albino female make the decision whether or not this encounter would turn violent, but if it did Qanik would put a swift and sure end to it.

"Speech"

At first glance, it seemed as if the Tortugan queen had come to meet her call, but as the pale ghost materialized, she was of difference, purely white with shimmering sapphires. Her frame was lithe, but she seemed a bit old. The alabaster vixen would hold her posture high with dominance. Perhaps she was the weakened beta of the Tortugan queen. Clearly she was unknowing of whose blood the pristine tempest was, and she only replied to her speech with a snarl and sat on coral haunches, giving a cold and hard look at the alabaster vixen. "To leave peacefully or with force will be my own decision, not yours." Rubies would sweep over her, searching for any potential weak points should she have to fight the old lupa. Before she gave a low growl, "I wish to speak with the Tortugan queen, Roman Armada."

Her voice soon would relax, as she would give yet another cold look into the sapphires of the white woman. "I do not think you know whose blood I am of, and I am in fact one of the half sisters of your queen, and I insist you allow me to speak to her." The once venomous voice slid into one with such divinity, "I have not seen my dear half sister in such a long time, and I did not mean to cross onto your 'property' " Rubies shimmered with faked thoughtfulness, awaiting the alabaster vixen's reply.

Qanik

in defense of the innocent

The albino female's words did not ease Qanik's concern, but rather magnified it. The only outward sign Qanik gave of her anger was the ripple of her pelt as it rose and fell restlessly. "You are mistaken," she merely said calmly, as though the girl were a child mispronouncing a word. "And as I have said, Queen Roman is not available at the moment. You may leave whatever message you wish for me to deliver to her, and you will leave." Bland and patient though her expression was, her blue eyes were flinty with stubbornness. She was being more than fair considering that this girl had already walked onto Tortuga territory uninvited, and hadn't gotten her ears shredded for it. Diplomacy did not mean giving the other person whatever they wanted. "Whether or not you truly are who you say you are, you are still a trespasser. You have no power here to insist upon anything." Her tone was gently chiding, her stance and tail relaxed and calm despite the tension inside. She did not know Roman's family, truly didn't know her relationship with each individually, and was not about to allow this girl to use an alleged blood relationship with Roman as an excuse to wander their territory. Tortuga was too important for her to risk on such a slender reason.

There was someone tresspassing on their borders, and with Roman still sick Ritsuka was just as edgy as Qanik was, at least internally, about having someone demanding for their queen. He had arrived to hear the demand, walking calmly up beside his beta, or at least trying to be calm. He kept his tail raised slightly however. This woman was a rogue, half-sister to the queen or not, and she needed to know that trespassing would not be permitted. "Blood relative or not this is still Tortugan lands, and you are not a member of our pack. Our queen can not come see you right now." He narrowed his gaze slightly.

"I do not wish to cause a problem, but if you continue to insist on trespassing on our lands then I'll have to assist Qanik in making you leave." He would not only back the older woman up, but if it was ever necessary Ritsuka would willingly lay down his life for her. Qanik was family to him. This woman had nothing to truly prove her relations to Roman, and regardless, she was in no condition to come to her call. He would keep his chin tucked slightly, just in case this woman decided to make a foolhardy move and attack one of them.

Rubies narrowed as her voice was challenged, by not one ? but two ? of the pack she knew her half-sister resided within. A male approached, his voice strong, but his stature of a subordinate. She would rise to strong stilts and coral pads would move in a backward motion, until she was at the opposite side of the border from the two creatures. Rubies were trained on the two intently, especially the white bitch. An Armada was perfection in a wolf, especially bearing the pelt of the northern King, Isardis. Perhaps some day she could return when the Tortugan queen was supposedly well enough to meet her call. Today would not be apt for the regent to appear, it seemed.

"Farewell. It seems I am not apt to appear now." Instead of her honey-sweet words, her lyrics now were cold, sharp, and bitter, hastily spoken as she turned tail, her champagne figure ghosting away from the two, coral pads touching the snow quietly and her tail sweeping behind her.
