He had wandered far enough from home to not know that Regium had become Ethereal and that his mother had moved the pack to the caves that he stood near now. He gulped, knowing that the four month old pup was due for a scolding from his mother for rushing off. Truthfully, he had been off learning so much about the world. It wasn't much in comparison but he felt like it was significant. He had looked for father briefly before trying to find his way back. He hummed a small tune in his mind as he let a call ring out for his siblings and his mother dearest. Azael was home and hopefully that was not a bad thing for them. The tan boy held a goofy grin as his mismatched eyes masked his nervousness.

He had wondered what had gone on within the pack since his leaving and why the pack had been moved to such dark and seemingly distant caves. He would gulp as his tail waved from side to side in a nervous way. His ears flicked back and forth as he tried to figure out different possibilities."I'm home." He would whisper was he waited.

Sarka had grown used to moving through the caves, being so small she could reach through cracks most other wolves could not. As she was growing she was still a mute by choice and her brothers were the only ones who had heard her speak. Azael had spoken to her about running off and finding their dad, but she didn't think he would actually do it. The runt would be placed in a crack in the stones of the cave, just out of view of her brother as he let out his call. Her beady eyes looking over her much larger brother. After a few weeks of their birth, even if she wasn't the last born, sarka had been the smallest and the most fragile of all the azarak pups. Once she built up the courage to climb down from the crack, she barked at her brother. A new device she had discovered rather than speaking was her voice to bark and make small howls. As her tail wagged she raised a brow to her brother and nipped at his paws.

After doing so stepped away, "Azael where did you go!?" The girl asked in her soft voice the same as usual when she had spoken before to him. She rarely felt comfortable using her voice, with the exception that this was a question she really needed answered. Most of the time she would try to figure things out herself to avoid speaking, but this was important. Had he left to find father, and had he found him?

He would see a small form approach him and with her looks, it couldn't be any other wolf then Sarka, his sister. Both her and Raziel shared a black and sooty colored face and head. It was Azael who had stood out from the other two with his tan form and white marks running across his body with the sooty colored back. She would speak, asking him where he had gone and he would grin. She had been nipped at his paws and her tail was wagging. Azael suddenly forgot how nervous he had been and he let his tail wag from side to side playfully. "I was out on an adventure! I didn't find father but I learned so much about different territories." He said with a grin as he playfully nipped at her.

He would frown slightly. "When I returned, Regium wasn't there anymore. What happened?" He would pose the question with a glint of confusion in his eyes as he asked her for an explanation. He knew that she did not like talking very much but he had to know why they had left the lands that they were so accustomed to. His mottled head would tilt to the side in curiosity as he waited. Perhaps Raziel and his mother would come across and visit with him. Perhaps his mother had the power to accept him back into the pack. If not, then maybe Roman could? Azael had no knowledge of what had happened with the leadership.

She forgot, azael hadn't been here when their mother announced Roman had left the kingdom to her. The small girl frowned for a little bit. Was she supposed to say, it would make him sad if he found out about Roman. Then again he would find out eventually, and if she didn't tell him it would probably turn out worse than it could have been. Her ears rested upon her skull for a moment as she pulled back her lips a little letting out a puff trying to get over the anxiety she was having just from thinking about telling him. Something else that she was unaware of was her anxiety. "Mommy is queen now, Roman had to leave. The packs called ethereal." Sarka explained.

It was okay, her brother was one of the few the anxiety would not attack her for. As her tail curled a little and she stepped forward nuzzling her brother in the chest. She didn't want him to be sad, after all she already felt like she was a burden to most. She was small, couldn't do most things the other stronger siblings could do. She even doubted she would be able to hunt very big animals when she grew up. In fact everyone seemed to be growing bigger and bigger while she stayed the same. Would she just be small her entire life? Even so she was probably okay with that, not like she had a choice in the matter.

Azalea plodded through the sparse patchwork of trees, up and down the gentle slopes. From her jaws dangled a rabbit, the skull clamped firmly in her jaws with the body dangling before her chest. She was careful not the let the animal suffer, nor to put any holes in it that would drip blood all the way back to the caves.

Rabbit was hardly her favorite, in fact, she pretty well hated rabbit but she had to make sure the pups got fed.

Her pace would quicken as a call lit the airwaves. young and bone chillingly familiar. Azael. She nearly choked on rabbit fur, inhaling with a sharp flush of emotion.

The rabbit beat against her chest until she found herself at the edge of the saves and staring down at Azael and Sarka. She dropped her kill, yipping loudly as her tail began to beat her sides wildly as it whopped back and forth behind her.

Her body sank, lowering to the ground to be eye level with her children as she would douse them in kisses, the both of them. "Azael! My precious boy!"

His sister would share such amazing and terrible news with him and that made him a mix of emotions. He chose to be happy over sad because he did not enjoy dwelling on the bad things like Roman's leave. "Mama is queen?!?" He would as with excitement just as his mother arrived and started to kiss him and his sister all over. He would giggle slightly as she greeted him like she was happy to see them. At the very least she wasn't yelling at him for going off without telling her. "I've missed you mama!" He would call off as he gave her a few kisses back with a wide grin on his face. "Sarka tells me that your queen now mama!!! CONGRATS!" He would yell out in excitement the last few words as he attempted to playfully tackle his mother.

He would gulp slightly as he started to explain to her what he had just explained to his sister about his leave but his voice was rushed and his words were sped off like bullets out of a machine gun. "Mama, I'm so sorry I was gone. I went off looking for father and I started to learn things. When I returned you guys weren't there so I kept lookin and lookin until I found you." He tried his best to explain it at such speed with a worried look on his face. Would she be mad?

She didn't need to speak any more, really she didn't or at least thought she didn't. As her mother came rushing over, covering them with kisses, her tail gave a unconscious wag. She enjoyed the attention, and loved her mother a lot. The small girl settling down on her haunches as she looked up at her bigger mom. Her eyes looking at Azael as he spoke. Her ears flicked slightly, as she let out a small giggle.
?You must have been brave Azael!? she said in her soft toned voice. Her tail thumping against the ground. She was too happy and excited that her brother was back to notice how much she had been speaking. And in front of her mother for the very first time none the less at that.

?I speak?

Blue and amber gaze would turn to her, lighting up, as the boy realized his mother was there. "I've missed you mama!" Azalea would feel his tongue on her own face, watching her children wave their tails while wondering where Raziel was at.

"Sarka tells me that your queen now mama!!! CONGRATS!" The silly child would jump at her, Azalea scooting backward with her jaws parted wide and playful. Her right front paw would lift to try and squash her tiny attacker.

Azael would grow tense, looking worried as he prepared to talk. "Mama, I'm so sorry I was gone. I went off looking for father and I started to learn things. When I returned you guys weren't there so I kept lookin and lookin until I found you." Azalea simply smiled, shaking her head and preparing to speak but then, ?You must have been brave Azael!? Her amber eyes shot open wide, head turning fast enough to fly off.

Sarka. Sarka had just talked. "Sarka! You can talk!?" Her jaw sat open, tail waving wildly again.

It seemed that his words had been droned out in his mother's mind by the fact that his sister could talk. OF COURSE SHE COULD TALK. She talked to him all the time. "Well of course Sarka can talk mama! It's not like she's mute!" He would say aloud, not really thinking that Azalea thought that her daughter could not speak. He turned his attention to his sister as he answered her statement with a humble answer. "I didn't run into anythin' dangerous so I didn't have to be brave." He offered with a small grin as he looked to his mother. "So can I come back?" He had little doubt his mother would let him back but he wanted to make sure.

Sarka moved her head down when her mother noticed her, it wasn't like she spoke all the time. But according to her brother, it must if felt like that. Because yes, sarka was a selective mute. Disliking the use of words considering how they could hurt others or how she could be a burden to the others. Her ears pinned back and she tucked in her tail looking away for a moment feeling pinned down in all of the excitement was terrifying her. She looked at her mother with her cyan eyes before looking at her paws. Quivering her lip trying to keep her chest from tightening.
Why was her body like this, it happened a lot. She had been good to keep herself hidden at least. As she looked back at her brother she smiled a little, wiggling her tail to try and make herself a bit more comfortable. But it was obvious since she was a pup of physical language, that she was feeling the effects of her long term anxiety of the world.
