The boy was still unsure on how he really felt about his new home, his new den. It wasn't long, but the old den in the Range was all he knew. He was used to that, and even though this was an old part of Covari, it still frightened him.

His chin laid between his front paws as he gently lifted his eyelids. It was a lot later than he normally woke up. He took his time to adjust to the brighter lights before turning to face Koray curled into his tail. He then rose and walked over too Maia and nudged at her foreleg with his tiny nose.

He didn't speak a word, but looked up to her matching orbs searching for that warm feeling. Since they have moved, Amarant's strong growth of energy had diminished. He wasn't really the same, but he always tried his best to be who he used to be. Everything was happening all too quickly. And soon he would start to wonder of his father, who he was and where. But it wasn't his time yet. His only care in the world was being with Maia and Koray.

She had been napping peacefully with her boys when a cool nose nudged her leg, stirring her from her sleep. As eyes fluttered open, she would find Amarant watching her. A warm smile would lift her lips as she leaned forward to place a kiss on his head. A yawn would part her jaws and she would stretch her stiff muscles. Her boys had grown so fast, they would be a year in several months. But she had feeling the move was not sitting well with them. "You can't sleep?" Concern would fill her gaze as she reached for him, attempting to pull him closer and against her chest. Sleep tugged at the outskirts of her mind, begging to go back to sleep, but all she did now days was sleep. Perhaps she should seek out a healer, find out what the problem was. But she didn't want to worry her boys, it was probably just the stress of the move. She would peer down at Amarant, her gaze shifting only briefly to Koray, still sound asleep. Slowly she would run her tongue along his dappled pelt, cleaning away the dust. She didn't care if he objected and pulled away, she loved her boys dearly and only wanted what was best for them. At the back of her mind she wished Maverick was around to spend time with them, but he had disappeared shortly after their birth and hadn't been around since. A sigh would roll off her tongue, she knew they needed their father, she could only do so much as a mother, they needed a male figure in their life.

As Mama's lime optics gently rose from her dreams, Amarant tilted his head curiously. But Maia's warm smile, what he was searching for, would make him sweep his tail side to side. The boy pushed his skull into her kisses, coming back up to her gaze with a loving grin. Before he could speak, Maia pulled him in and he roughly brought his shoulder to the floor of the den with a thud.

He wiggled his way closer to her, rubbing his back up against her chest and laying belly up looking to her chin. He had grown some, and was now too big to swivel in between her paws like he used to. But he was still small enough to encase himself into her matching fur tone. The two were so closely related to each other, there was no mistaking them apart. If only the child could see how familiar his father was to him.

"No, Mama." He agreed to her simple question. His mind had escaped from Koray, as if there was no other child, but he wasn't as overprotect as his brother anyway. A black spotted paw delicately nipped at the corner of the dame's maw, obviously being cautious not to mistake it as being aggressive, before Amarant wiggled a little bit more to get comfortable. "I don't like it here." He whispered, hoping that Uncle Rune wasn't wandering the dens and could overhear him. He needed a lot of time to enjoy his new life here, maybe he just needed some friends.
