It was so cold...so wet. Hopeless as it seemed. Dark clouds covered the sky completely and not one sign of light or brightness was seen. Not for a while now. The last time he saw brightness was a few days ago. Now...now things were just a disaster. He heard their were a few that died within the first few days. Drowning by the force of the flood, getting hit by lighting, unstable mental states, so many other things. He wondered how many others would die...how many others would leave this world because of this. And how long would this hell last? Thank god Isokan had found shelter for the time being.
Still, everything was unpredictable right now. Even the things that seemed too obvious. Such as a pathetic statement like, "At least this won't wipe out all of Alacritis!" The thought made the masked boy begin to collapse into agonizing sobbing. To the point where his body was drained of tears- and he would have to sit there and stare until they returned to him. Right now, both Drago and him were sitting within the uneasy shelter of the lifeless caverns. The only place that seemed to be less-flooded.
Ixionn's back and neck were torn up horribly, and were slowly becoming infected. He could still feel that pain...he could hear his own screams rattling the cavern walls. A growl left his throat and he slowly lowered his head, shutting his eyes and inhaling gently. Drago slowly turned his head up to his friend, forcing a weak smile. The prince noticed it...and instantly shook his head before the lizard could speak. "I wonder...why...we deserved this..."
Stuttered voice would bounce off the cavern walls, coming back to his ears and making his muscles feel strangely weak and nonexistent. His friend huffed and remained speechless. Instead, curled up in his friend's tail and rested his exhausted body. Ixionn lifted his head and opened his teary eyes...staring out into that dark, wet world. He wondered if suddenly, there would be a cry over the distance, and if he would force himself up to help. Even in the critical state he was in now. Would he really do it? Or would he sit there...trapped in an illusion?

The storm raged on, a seemingly endless wave of disaster. It was growing tiresome - the continued canopy of shadowed clouds, the eternal rain, and the rolling winds. The way the muddied ground seeped through onyx toes and hung beneath talons. The sloshing puddles sprayed its debris upon her perfect pelt, tainting her beauty with its filth. A continued journey through the slosh would push her to the edge of collapsing. As the puddles raised, it took more effort to life paws weighted down with mud and move her body that was drenched in heaven's tears.

A soft growl emitted from her maw - annoyed at the gods' attempts to bring her down. Neither one of them seemed to give up, testing each others' strength. She paused in her tracks, eyed narrowed as she gazed at the heavens. Ears pinned back and an angry timbre fell off her tongue as she shouted to the sky. Bring it, damnit! Let me prove my worth not only to those who tread upon Alacritis, but those who dance in harmony in the heavens!

With that, a furious crackle of thunder boomed across the lands. It echoed off of nearby caves and trailed on for much longer than it should have. She decided to take shelter in the cavern. Paws slowly carrying her to the mouth of the cave and a relief it was to feel rock beneath her toes rather than mud. Though, there seemed to be another creature also hiding from the raging gods.

Galactic form elegantly walked to the stranger's location - he seemed somewhat disoriented, though she could be mistaken. He could be overcome by exhaustion or pain. Pain. . . Ah, how mangled he seemed to be. She was no healer, but the aroma it emitted was smell of dawning infection. She raised her left brow in curiosity as she rested her presence directly behind the fella. The clicking of approaching talons surely alerted him of her presence. She had little tolerance for pups, though, she simply could not abandon him. Are you alright?

Quelt had been frantic, everyone had taken age later in the northern mines by now and Ixionn was missing. He had searched every inch of those caves with a sprained right leg only to leave and look elsewhere. The only safe place was the lifeless caverns. As the male limped through them the sent and face of Venus came into his field of vision. Quelt ran forward and avoided running into her as he looked at Ixionn. "Ixionn thank the gods I found you, are you hurt?" He asked like a worried mother looking the child over.

His eyes moved to Venus trying to compose himself so that he didn't look like an idiot I'm front of her. "Venus how is Abaven? Is everyone okay?" He would ask I'm worried tones. This storm had shaken him a little, but it had been a test and he had only worried over losing Ixionn. He turned back to Ixionn frowning, "I'm sorry I should have been paying more attention, it's my fault you needed up here alone until Venus came" he sighed. At least he was alive, he honestly didn't know what he had done if he discovered Ixionn was dead. He didn't want the pups sharing the same fate as their parents so soon.
