Azalea was covered in blood that congealed, clogging her senses and numbing her mind. She stumbled along with the dark scruff held firmly in her jaws. Each back step took her one step closer to Ethereal, closer to help. She felt sick and knew deep down that it was pointless. The limp body she pulled along was barely clinging to life at this point.

Paw slipped, falling onto her rear as she had been pulling him with her rump facing home. It wasn't easy to pull a full grown wolf that was unconscious but she couldn't have left him.

Vaguely she realized where they were, The Range. Seracia scent long gone Azalea now only saw the flared nostrils of a feral horse before the creature turned away, steering her foal away from the scent of blood and wolves.

"Gah!!" Azalea was frustrated, her eyes blurry as her ducts refused to stop leaking. Her head threw back a deep and long call floating out over the lands. It was a sorrowful sound, one begging for justice and some form of help. It just wasn't right, that Sarak should die like this, with a gaping hole in his chest.

Her aching muscles were nothing compared to the panic inside of her chest. Trying to save Sarak was like her own life depended on it, because it did really. Arian wasn't just about to let Azalea lose someone so important to her. The woman was under enough pressure without having to carry her mate to the pack lands where all the herbs were located. Arian was sure she had patched him up enough for him to be out of danger, the hole in his chest was covered by the herbs she had placed there. Yet still she refused to let herself set at ease. As she panted softly as they stopped, Azalea's muscles were obviously getting weak as she could tell. Worry crossed over her features as she watched the empress. Arian narrowed her eyes for a moment before stepping forward.
She stood by her cousin and threw her head back to join in on the call, her tail flicking to one side for a moment as she then lowered her head and checked on the wounds that she had treated. Making sure the herbs she had placed on him were sitting where they were supposed to be. Breathing, keep breathing Sarak she thought to herself. "Come on Sarak you can't leave your family like this, Azalea needs you, your children need you." she whispered promtly. But knowing herself, she knew if Sarak died, it would be her fault. She was the one who was tasked with saving him, and if she didn't succeed it was the greatest sin she could ever commit to Azalea.
