She had seen it many times from the mainland, and each time she had to force herself to look away. The nervousness of actually traveling to them and the slight fear of possibly getting hurt in the travel was a bit much for herself, not quite ready for the possible injuries she might get from the swim. Until this day, Juliette finally decided she would take the chance now that winter was gone, and make her way to the islands within reach. Work her away from the small islands and finally to the big one with what looked like mountains. There had to be some crazy stuff there surely. So there she stood on the shore of the mainland, taking deep breaths and stretching out her legs, mentally preparing herself for the swims and explorations.

With Spring coming Frith had been able to spend much less time worrying about food, though that was also in thanks to the amazing hunters that he had dwelling in the pack. Verda was becoming incredibly skilled, and under her cousin Felicien's guidance he had no doubt she would share his rank in no time. These thoughts lingered on his mind as his chocolatey paws carried him along the beach. He'd crossed over Threar's borders, just barely, when he saw the other she wolf staring out over the ocean. Curious he'd glance in the same direction, taking in the island. He'd not made it out there himself either, and he wondered if she was going yo swim the small channel. He'd tilt his head curiously as he walked up what he would have considered a polite distance away. "Are you going to swim over there?" He'd seek her answer quite innocently, though if she did indeed say yes he was very much tempted to follow her.

So focused on what she would be doing, Juliette didn't notice a stranger was approaching until he had spoke. At first the woman jumped, head swinging around so that golden eyes could focus on who had startled her. A man larger than her, a coat of dark bark from a tree and lighter shades around his eyes in the shape of flames, mismatched eyes of fiery orange and an icey blue. “You gave me a fright.” She chuckled, shaking her head and standing proudly before him, tail wagging in a rhythmic pace. Her chest puffed out from habit, legs shifting to an even spacing beneath her so that she could stand her full height. Being on the smaller side of the scale she had learned to stand tall and confident, that it would make her less of a target towards those with not so good intentions.

To his question she glanced towards the islands in the short distance, smiling as she turned back towards him. “That is the plan! They have been bothering me all winter, thought now would be a good time to make my way over.” Forelegs slide forward over the ground, stretching herself out one more time before jumping up and shaking herself off. “Interested in joining a lady?” Head tilted with a smile, wondering if the man wanted to join in her exploration or if he would simply stay behind and watch, waiting for her to trip or something to embarrass herself.

She seemed startled when he spoke, though he thought he had been walking loud enough she might hear his approach. That was not the case, she'd jump and turn on him though she seemed more amused than apprehensive. It was a good thing he had not been a wolf of ill intentions. Lowering his head slightly Frith would offer an apology, "That was not my intention, I am sorry." While his form remained quite neutral in relation to her puffed up appearance. A small smile lingered on his features as she allowed him an answer, explaining herself at the same time. "Indeed, I am." He couldn't help but answer. He didn't have much purpose to go to an island, but he deserved a little mini vacation surely. "My name is Frith by the way," he wouldn't tack on the part about being an alpha. He liked to remain the humble stranger, and sometimes wolves got weird around him when they found out.
