What Once Was

It was a few hours after the meeting, and Revenge was thinking much too deeply for his own good. Mercy had apologized, after many hurtful words had been said the last time they had spoken. He was reliving some of those moments, along with others like leaving his parents for the first time. He'd be drawn to the range, a place of residence for many of his personal ghosts. His tall and elegant form made its way through the over grown grasses to a place that was very vivid in his childhood memories. What used to be a den, as well as the little shady spot that surrounded it. He'd played in the shade of this particular tree for hours when he was younger. Life had been so simple then, how did everything get so complicated so quickly? He'd sigh heavily as his haunches curled beneath him and he lowered his head as he tried to return to those days, to find the memories that had been hidden away for so long.

Her and her brother had always been close, no matter what they had been able to find each other and see each other through all their hard times. But it would seem that a rut had been put between them, a huge wedge that was tearing them apart. She had said that she was sorry at the meeting, all the hurtful words that she had said. Flinching at the memory, she found her brothers trail and started to follow it. It didn't surprise her that it led to the Range, a place he was drawn to and one that she tried to ignore. When she rounded the corner around a tree she saw him sitting by their old den -- the one that she had gone on a rampage on and destroyed. Another flinch. She stood still for a moment, long tail sweeping behind her as she gazed at him with her purple eyes. She longed for his sunshine yellow ones to look up at her, to forgive her and hold her like he always did. Revenge had been there for her through all the stupid things that she had done, scolding her when she came back with her infected scratches. And still she pushed him away, like she did with her parents and all those that seemed to get close to her. She wasn't sure how this pale man before her even still cared for her at all...
Finally getting her legs to work she took a few steps towards Revenge, before she paused. Mercy didn't run to his side yet, she didn't really know where they had stood. Esti's words had pissed her off at the meeting, and she had tossed a glare and a growl in her direction. She knew that he probably wouldn't be too happy about that. Looking away for a moment and shuffling on her paws, she let out another sigh. "Do you hate me yet?" she asked softly, ears pressed tightly against her skull.

Mercy likes to swear and bite, and she can be unpredictable. She's not always nice, and is quick to jump into a fight. Thread at your own risk.
Mercy has a visible scar from her shoulders down to the middle of her back, in a v like shape. Not all of her art shows this.

He didn't know what he was doing, trying to escape into the past maybe? Surely he looked like a fool, his tall slim form bent over what could have been a grave. Maybe it was, a grave for what had once been a child-like innocence. Though surely even that had gone much before he and Mercy had ever left. They weren't blind to their parent's strife, he could hear their arguments when they thought he'd been asleep. He'd clung to his sister during those times, what did he want to do now more than that? His attention was got by the sound of her foot steps behind him. He'd shift quickly, looking back over his shoulder to find her gaze.
She'd paused once more, looking away from him as she shifted nervously. With ears pressed to her skull she'd ask him if he hated her yet. His lungs inhaled deeply heaving out a great sigh, the ivory wolf would get to his feet as the last of the breath left his deep chest. "Mercy, I could never hate you." It just wasn't possible, no matter what. And besides, how could he be upset when she was obviously more than jealous. "I'm sorry too, by the way." He hadn't been innocent in their argument either.
