The young boy was still surprised by what his mother had decided. Though unlike his snobby brother, Dragon had accepted the position of his own free will. The mission his mom had sent him on wasn't for her, but for him. He had passed the test, and he'd found lands that he had judged well enough to be suitable to sustain them. His mom said they could have a meeting in a few days time, or whenever he was ready to announce his position and take over. He was excited, and also doubtful. What if he sucked at leading a pack? What if he completely failed and let down his mom? She had reassured him that she'd be there to help guide him along the way, and that if it didn't work out that it wasn't his fault. A lot ran through his mind, but could he really shoot himself down without having tried first? The brown male made his way carefully through the fjord, a light sprinkle falling on his coat. Remnants of last night's heavy rain fall. The walls of the fjord were slick with frozen water, Moss clinging to the cracks and walls as if it were a lifeline. Ears perked as he stopped, the sound of crashing somewhere up ahead. He had to be careful he knew, because now that the rainfall and storms were approaching, the trees that dotted the walls were losing their grips and crashing to the earth. Amachi had been sharpening her claws. As she promised she wanted to do something great for ivalice. EVEN she had been enjoying her time with dragon. For the short amount that it was she really did try and she liked him no doubt. The polar sound was a fine place to sort out her wounds that seem a little and far between. As her gray eyes caught dragon suddenly. Just as he had been on her thoughts it made her giggle softly. Raising herself and walking over to him. Even as he trudged carefully.

"Dragon, it's good to see you here how have you been?" She took a keen interest on his well being. It was sincere as well, while others might have seen her as unsociable with wolves she was comfortable with things would and could go a long way.

Like a cat investigating its surroundings for the first time, he would kind of creep forward step by step. Green eyes were watching the walls, feet ready to move at a moments notice should a tree decide that he would look good flattened to the earth like a video game character. Except it would be game over for him. No second or third life. No cheat code would save him in the event of a good tree flattening. Should one fall and he be too slow to move, that was it. Game over. So focused on this, he had failed to notice Amachi anywhere nearby. And when she spoke, he nearly jumped out of his skin! He whipped around so fast, he could have sworn he had just given himself whiplash! But of course, he was somewhat exaggerating as usual, but that didn't stop his heart from hammering against his chest. "Ah, Amachi! I didn't realize you were out here." He tried to compose himself, trying to play off his sudden surprise. "I uh, I'm doing fine. Just doing a bit of uh...stealth and...speed training..." Yeah...right... "Speech"

It seemed the boy had been wary where his steps were taken. Probably with these rains pulling down these tree's. She knew he'd be alright though, it was easy enough to listen to the cracking of the roots. At least for Amachi it was something innate to her. A warrior of her age had been trained she was born for things such as this. An unbelievable monster with a heart. The girl chuckled softly with a smile. "Mind if I help? I'm still your mentor right at least in a sense." her tail wagged slightly. "If you simply listen really hard it's easy to get stealth. Think of yourself as being one with the surroundings around you. " For a wolf of her size, she had trained harder than most to get to where she is. He shrugged a bit. They hadn't done too much training together, maybe a couple sessions. Though he often went out and worked on some stuff on his own or with his mother. He cocked his ears slightly, listening to her advice about moving stealthily. He was a little skeptical, doubtful even, that wolves as large as themselves could even really move as quietly as others. Amachi especially. She was huge! Probably the biggest wolf he'd ever seen, asides from Lykos. But Lykos was only a couple inches taller than him, and Amachi was bigger than Lykos. Regardless, he watched her crouch and slink along the ground. And he couldn't help but try to stifle a bit of laughter. He guessed she looked kind of funny doing that, considering her bulk. "Maybe I'll practice on a seal or something. But I doubt I'd even really get close enough, we're too easily spotted in the snow." That much was true. He hadn't yet been able to catch a seal. Someday he might, assuming it was too dumb or slow to respond to his approach in time. Sitting down, he took a deep breath as he listened to the distant sounds of crumbling ice. This place was nice. It didn't matter how lack of an interaction they had. Amachi had been proud to have been assigned his mentor. That day was probably one of the best in her life - but now it also suddenly felt like her happiness was being thrown back at her. Of course she couldn't help what Dragon felt, but her anxieties threw her off once more as he spoke and she stopped her head turning towards him in a much more sullen matter.
