Now I gotta wake it up, the devil in me

Dea moved away from the Abaven pack lands, she would much rather follow Archon and his Fallen God no matter the circumstances. She had found purpose with him, and she supposed it was a bit more important, but his God had given her a reason to live again as well. Dea couldn't begin to contemplate the alternatives, but she knew one of them included her father hunting her down, they had never been this long without contact. Dea wouldn't think on that now, currently all she wanted was a drink and a relaxing place to think about all that had transpired. The masked demon could see the divine point in having Sparrow die and thus kill the agreement that Archon held with her, giving rise to greater opportunities for Archon. He could make his church, the way he wanted to! Dea let her feet guide her, finding herself headed north, where she came across a large lake. Waving her earthen tail, Dea moved down to the water's edge and dipped her head for a drink. After several lapping mouthfuls, the demoness moved to lay in the shade of the taller grasses. Dark ears listened for any sign of an approaching wolf, but her pink eyes closed to the world as she relaxed in a sphinx-like position. All she could do was wait for Archon to come looking for her, she could feel it in her bones that he would, an odd feeling to be sure but something told her he would come. After all, she had only stopped to listen to his news and move on, wondering if she should follow him or if it was a sign. During her thoughts, Dea drifted into a light sleep, with the warmth of the late afternoon sun on her back and the cool earth below her. She felt calmer here than she had in Abaven, though, it could have been the fact that she had been shunned by every mortal present. Now she had some time to herself and she could collect her thoughts, hopefully. Walk, "Talk" Think |

Everything sucked and Cael was pretty sure if she laid eyes on anyone she was gonna punt them into the next land over just for existing. Having never really had to deal with major emotions like this, it would be reasonable to say that life right now as completely overwhelming her in every way possible and she wasn't really... Handling it well. For the last few days she'd just been curled up in an empty den at the edge of the territory. It was a great place to sulk and cry till your body hurt cause, surprise surprise, nobody in Abaven did anything. There was no way anyone was gonna stumble in and find her.
It took ages of looking on and off, but eventually Caelestis had found Caelum's faint scent far from home. After trailing her mother for some time and wondering what on earth the woman had been doing so far away for so long, the last thing Cael had expected was to find herself at a dead end where the earth smelled faintly but unmistakably like death. It was impossible to tell where the actual body was, but frankly she wasn't sure she wanted to find out. Discovering that her mother was gone had hit hard. Harder than anything else ever had. It was worse since she still didn't actually know where Zephyr was. Did he find Caelum?
Wiping her reddened eyes, Caelestis took a shuddering breath and tried to compose herself in the darkness where she lay. Her stomach growled louder than she'd ever managed herself. Food. Yeah, that was a thing. If only it would come find her. For a while she didn't move, but hunger was a powerful motivator and soon she couldn't stand laying there any longer so she swiftly jumped to her paws and exited the den to go in search of a quick meal she could bring back to her mourning spot.
True to form, Cael wasn't particularly difficult to knock off course and soon found herself trailing an unfamiliar scent outside the borders. The stranger smelled of Abaven but honestly Cael couldn't remember the face that went with it. If the other woman had been to any meetings she clearly didn't make much of an impression, huh? At least, not on Caelestis. Still, it was something different to distract herself with and that was an opportunity that was hard to pass up. When she finally got close to the other girl who didn't seem too different in age from herself, no time was wasted before sauntering over. Trying not to look like someone who was deeefinitly crying her eyes out a few hours ago, she'd lift her dark head high and look as aloof as possible.
Eyeing the other woman, Cael found that she was acting and talking before she even thought the words through. "Who're you, I don't remember you. Are you going with that piece of shit, Archon?" Yeah, the words just like, came out. She didn't even normally describe the Abraxas man that way in her head - wow.

Cael has facial scars not seen in all of her art yet!

Roused from her sleep by a rather rude and childlike voice, asking if she would be leaving with Archon. Though, her phrasing made the hair on her spine raise. Inhaling then exhaling on a sigh, Dea pushed herself up from her laying position to give a dark, droll stare at the girl. While she hadn't made any real attempt to get to know the mortals of Abaven, Dea could recognize the girl as one of the younger members. The devil didn't answer at first, watching the other girl and looking her over as if she was about to be on the menu. Archon was better than most wolves, if this was the behavior he had to deal with from the wolves who made Abaven home. No wonder Sparrow couldn't get anything done. She had felt nothing when the news of the old alpha dying, only a bit of amusement as it meant Archon had an opportunity now to do something truly great. He wasn't held down by a pack of unwilling hosts who did nothing all day, nor was he constantly wasting his potential on a pack that was obviously ill-fit, to begin with. Sparrow could have worked harder to get her wolves to be better, but she too had suffered from laziness and a general...lack of authority. "Following Archon is better than staying in a pack that is doomed to fail because of lazy members." Dea found herself finally saying, suddenly very irritable that the stranger would put Archon down considering all he tried to do for them. She stood then, watching the other, what would the girl say? Dea hoped she wouldn't be forced to hurt the girl, but if it kept going, the devil knew she wouldn't be able to help herself. It had been a while since she had a true hunt, and if the earthen girl didn't find sense soon, there would be blood. Why she felt so defensive over Archon, she couldn't say, but she would never let someone talk about him that way. The wicked woman took it very seriously and personally that the girl would even think to insult a wolf who tried to pick her pack up off its knees. Maybe that was where Abaven belonged...
