Let's Get Back To Our Notecards

There's certain ambiance of hurry in Aske's pace as she partially sprints across the fields and plains. Wind swirling and gusting across the plains of the Rock Garden, it was hard not to feel cooled down in comparison to the normal ambient heat of the summer months. Clouds covered only a small portion of the skies above, allowing light to fall and grace the lands of Eastern Boraes with sunlight. The light was clearly trying to eat up the location with barren cover, but with the ever-present competition of the wind, there was no certainty what would win out before nightfall. The midday sun casted small shadows, if any at all, off the rocks of the area. Darting inbetween them as they came, Aske didn't make any particular path aiming for rest and restoration, but rather she was circling a large area in search of the perfect spying point. Each rock was given a few second's consideration, before either eliminated or pushes aside for judgement in comparison to other potential spotting locations. Finally, she spied a particular set of stone that drew her attention. Hardly hiding in the light of day, she made her way to them, hopping up a set of irregularly places stones- likely having been thrown about a long time ago from some dangerous, weather-related situation- Aske finally balanced on the peak of a rock. The base cracked, several other rocks were slanted on the west side, all smooth or smaller in one way. This particular rock of choice- the primary one- grew skinner as it approached the skyline, with a sleek slanted surface for a tip, having been worn down by rainfall and the same winds that shaped the cool air present at the moment. Head held high but tail still low, the wolf took a rather prideful stance. Well, just about as prideful as one can be when all four paws were closer than usual, balancing on a slanted edge not large enough to support reasonable, healthy standing habits. Coppery eyes moved to scan the surroundings, taking in every detail of the rock-infested lands, plains, and the isles and trees far beyond that. There was a lot to take in, a lot to note for future reference. "Well, what do we have over here.." A hum was emitted from the wolf, carefully shambling in order to turn in place, continuing her scanning in other directions for quite some time. Of course, unless something or someone caught her interest or attention. actions "speech" |
