Kaizer decided this evening that she would get a lay of the land. Sea's plain was a place full of thing to explore not to mention with the pack inhabitants. She was both excited and nervous to be a part of it. She was not too well with the politics of course but she wanted to meet her new friends. At least she wanted to make an attempt to make friends. Kaizer was aware she could be hot headed, but she found herself good in company. Hopefully she didn't disappoint them either. This seemed like a powerful pack and it really did remind her of home.

The sun was already beginning to set as she wandered about the plain. Eventually finding a high enough spot on a small hill to sit on and look around. Her nose engulfing the scents around her. Kaizer's muscles ached for action. Her past had been forgotten and she was ready to move forward.

"Aslatiel Fatalis"

Though she was still trying hard to not occupy the same space as the rest of her family, Aslatiel had decided to stick close just in case Indigo wanted to find her. Being away from him had taken a toll on both young wolves and she had hated seeing the hurt and anguish on his face. Asla vowed to always stay close. Or at least she would let him know where she was going.

Not many of the Armada wolves found themselves on the Sea's Plain at night, so that's where the girl decided to go. She'd brought a woolly sheep skin with her to sleep upon so that she wouldn't catch a chill upon the expanse of rock. Much to her chagrin, there was already someone there. Great. Well, she wouldn't let it deter her from her course.

Padding forward, the small, cream and grey girl released the sheep skin, placing it where she intended to sleep tonight. She had told Indigo that she was here and wouldn't be surprised if he showed up, so the one that she brought was rather large. Amaranthine eyes fixed on this wolf that she'd never seen. "Who are you?" She asked bluntly. In true royal fashion, the princess expected an answer. If this was a trespasser, she would show her the way out. Part of Asla really hoped that the woman was a trespasser.

Kaizer turned when she heard another wolf stirring. A young one - though not much younger than her if she had to tell the truth. This pup looked nearly a year and her appearance was rather stunning. The markings were pretty Kaizer could also tell that she shared a scent with Sirius. She must have been related. When Kaizer had noticed she was setting up a sheepskin she felt like she was intruding on something. "Kaizer, I joined the Armada a few days ago." she responded giving a soft dip of her head. Though the attitude of the wolf made her skin crawl. However, she couldn't blame her she was a stranger.

"Do you need me to leave by chance? Seems like you're setting up for the night. Unless you'd like a bit of company." she smiled. Knowing full well that could possibly instigate something but you know, you never got to know anyone by just moving away. Kaizer was determined she would be a part of this "pack family" as she would put it. The woman flicked the tip of her tail as she watched the beautiful pup.

"Aslatiel Fatalis"

Another one. Asla wondered if her father would adopt this one as well. It seemed to be what he did. What sort of sob story would she tell him to win him over? Kaizer, she said her name was. "Aslatiel Fatalis," she said in return. If you didn't know that the Fatalis name was important in the Armada, then you weren't paying attention. Asla had been feeling like total crap as of late, so she needed the morale boost of being known.

Kaizer offered to leave and the younger girl considered ordering her away. It didn't seem like Indigo was going to join her though. Asla tilted her head back and forth a few times, contemplating what to do. Eventually she decided. "You can stay if you want. Just don't let anyone else know I'm here. I don't want to talk to any of them." She was quick to add, "Except my brother, Indigo. He's huge and purple. Can't miss him." Azure hated her. Mort was too bubbly. Indy was what she needed though, so he was allowed.

Moving to set up the huge sheepskin at the edge of the stone platform, Asla cast a glance back at the new wolf. As she settled the skin in a crook between two larger trees, an area where she knew the tide couldn't reach, she asked. "Where are you from? What do you do? Any skills?" Just what was this new wolf offering the Armada? Asking so many questions would keep the girl distracted from the emotions that had literally driven her crazy as of late.

Well she could tell that the girl was in a bad mood. Kaizer was usually good at lifting spirits, but didn't know if anything she said would cheer the princess up. When she introduced herself Kaizer let out a gasp, "You're a princess then aren't you!" she exclaimed with a wag of her tail. "That's awesome, I'm honored." she dipped her head. Even though technically she had previously been a princess herself but she wasn't interested in that lifestyle anymore. Maybe a guard? That would be fun.

Aslatiel said she didn't want anyone else knowing she was here and Kaizer nodded her heard. Wanting to get away from family was natural she knew that. Alone time was important and now since she was loyal to the Armada not her family name she felt a bit free in a sense. She had loved her siblings she still did, but her pack took prescedence over them. "Purple! I've never seen a purple wolf before." that was the truth and Sirius had been huge. That's why Kaizer thought Aslatiel was so pretty she liked the color of her markings.

The princess took to questioning her and Kaizer didn't mind sharing. Perhaps hearing about someone else's life would get her head off of the things that seemed to be plagueing her. "Far Far west from here across the sea's. I was born into a wasteland pack under the alpha pair. Came here after my ma and pop died to look for family since this is my mothers homeland. I like fighting it's what my father trained me to do and I love it, so you could say that's where my skills lie. I want to be the front runner in battles or at least a front runner. Maybe a guard." she tilted her head to the side. "What about you? What are your skills?" she asked curiously.

"Aslatiel Fatalis"

There was something about the young wolf that had Asla letting her guard down. She began to relax, a bit of the anger build up washing away. For now, at least. Listening to Kaizer, Asla slid down lay upon the big fur. She patted the spot beside her, inviting the other girl to rest upon the plush surface as well. "I am a princess, but you don't have to make a big deal about it." Her title didn't do much for her. Like her aunt, Asla thought titles were wind. It was nice to be appreciated though.

Kaizer seemed amazed that Indigo was purple. The younger girl laughed. "Indy is as purple as they get." She love her giant, amaranthine brother. His pelt and her eyes matched. Yet another bond between them. "He's very nice too, so don't be mean to him, okay?" Not that she thought Kaizer would be mean to Indy, but she felt that she had to point it out.

Once skills were brought up and Kaizer shared her own interests, Aslatiel grinned anew. When the floor was given over to her, the cream and grey girl didn't hesitate. "Hunting is my specialty, but I'm also learning to fight. Maybe we'll learn together." They were close in size, which was nice. "My dad is the greatest fighter in the land. He could teach us both." Was she making a friend? A real friend? Well, Kaizer hadn't annoyed her yet and she found the girl easy to talk to. It was in interesting development.

Kaizer had technically been a princess back home so she knew how that was. She decided to not mention it anymore if Aslatiel didn't care about the title then Kaizer just as much wanted to treat her as an equal. Though with how packs went she was aware in a sense the girl was her superior which she would respect. Kaizer was happy to take the spot the girl had patted. Laying down and crossing her front paws in front of her a habit if anything. Her ears perked and she listened intently to everything that Aslatiel had to say.

Mentioning her brother and not to be mean to him she gave a soft laugh and nodded her head. "I have a brother as well I know how that can go. Though, I have to forget about my family now." she had already pledged her loyalty to this pack. Her life before was no more and Kaizer was loyal. She didn't believe in split loyalties she would surely lay down her life for that. Kaizer felt like she was making a connection with Aslatiel, it would be nice to start making friends here.

"I'd love that Aslatiel, I could tell when I met your father that he was strong I've never seen a wolf like him before either. Whenever you need me too I can be there." she wanted to be a protector a guard. She knew aslatiel could probably handle herself but still Kaizer was growing a bit more comfortable. Hopefully this didn't put the young wolf off.

"Aslatiel Fatalis"

Aslatiel's brow furrowed as Kaizer said she had to forget her family. The cream colored girl gave her head a shake. "Never forget anything. Loyalties change, but family is still very important." To her, family was the most important thing. She couldn't imagine forgetting her brothers or her parents. It would leave an unfillable hole within her being. No... "If you choose to forget them, that's fine. Don't feel like you have to forget them because you're part of the Armada though. That's not how we work."

As Kaizer agreed that they should train together, Asla was surprisingly pleased. She didn't realize that it was because she'd never had a female friend. Never really had a friend at all, actually. Other than her brothers, that is. "We'll have to talk to him about training us together. I'm sure he'll be willing."

Amaranthine eyes narrowed slightly as an idea popped into the girls mind. "Kaizer, how would you like to enter my service?" The slightly older girl could be Asla's attendant, closest friend and confidant. She imagined her father might like the idea as well. Both of her parents wanted her to branch out more, she knew. Aslatiel tilted her head slightly, waiting to see what the girl thought about it.

For a moment she held a prejudice, Kaizer didn't think Aslatiel knew of the situation that befell her and the princess' father. He had asked her where her loyalties would be considering it didn't seem like the armada and Valhalla were under good terms. If it came to war Kaizer would selfishly tear her sister down although with their two separate paths she doubted that would ever happen. Liz was no fighter she chose a path of healing, for once she was thankful of that. What of Mark and Tara though would they all line up at Valhalla's door. She hated to think all her siblings were against her but it didn't matter. Anyhow, Aslatiel's words brought her a bit of relief on the subject. Family was important, but then she thought something strange. While she didn't say it out loud she would like to think of her and Aslatiel as family now. It was quick but she had taken a liking to the princess.

Her ears perked when the girl said she would have to bring it up with her father. "Really you think he'd be okay with that?" Kaizer tilted her head off to one side. "I'd really love that to be honest." her tail gave a soft wag. What was this feeling inside of her? Genuine joy unlike before at home. She was not making a friend because it felt like it would make her survive longer it was because in all honesty she looked up to Aslatiel.

"Your service? Like your bodyguard because if that's what you mean then yes! To fight by your side would be a dream come true." Kaizer tried to contain herself from standing. Staying laid out on the skin as she listened carefully. She may not have known Aslatiel very much on their first meeting, but that was the best part getting to know her. Kaizer admitted that there was a connection between the two sometimes it just felt right.

"Aslatiel Fatalis"

It seemed as though her words had thrust the older girl into deep thought, but the change of subject pulled her out of it once more. Kaizer seemed excited at the prospect of training together with her father. Asla nodded at the question. "We could go ask him now if you'd like." She was sure that her father would agree to train the girls together. You could never have too many warriors in a pack, she believed.

Again, Kaizer seemed excited. This time at the idea of being a guard for Aslatiel. The cream colored young wolf nodded. "A guard. A companion." Asla averted her gaze momentarily. "I don't have any friends. Not really. I have my brothers, but that's different." She didn't even like her brother's half of the time.

Now she brought her gaze upwards once more, fixing them on Kaizer's face. "Well, if my father agrees, I'll take you into my service. You'll be my guard, my counsel and my friend. Deal?" The girl gave her little skull a tilt, big grey ears flicking forward.

Kaizer felt honored, but what would Sirius think. She'd only been accepted a few days go and as far as he was concerned she was still a wolf to be suspicious of. Talking with Aslatiel filled her with a new light, sure she didn't have to forget about her family but here she had made a new genuine friend. When she thought about it Kaizer hadn't even made one of those in her homepack. "Where do we find him at this time of day?" she asked with a tilt of her head in response. Listening to the rest of what Aslatiel had to say. The princess' guard. It had a nice ring to it and if she could match up to the task perhaps she could climb the ranks quickly and become someone of importance.

Her averted gaze made Kaizer take a small step forward if allowed she wanted to press her nose gently against the princess shoulder. "I know how that feels Aslatiel. You are the first genuine friend I've made, I'll be here for you when you need me no matter what." through thick and thin. Kaizer didn't make promises lightly, if she was going to dedicate herself to something it would no doubt be Aslatiel no matter where her views stood or how her life ran.

Kaizer smiled with the girl's final words. She lifted her head proudly looking into Aslatiel's eyes. "Deal! And I'll be sure to become as strong as you need." she was no tool but a part of her wanted to be an extension. A new friend a new life, something to dedicate herself to. Kaizer was more than happy with tonights events. Even if the girl had first been standoffish however who didn't need alone time and a stranger approaching? That was a given. Still Kaizer was glad she stuck around.

"Aslatiel Fatalis"

Kaizer asked where they could find her father and Asla shrugged. "He's very busy, but I can always find him if I call." Her father never left her waiting for long. If he didn't come to her, then he howled and let her come to him. If he happened to be out of territory, then they would find him tomorrow.

The other girls enthusiasm brought a smile to Asla's face. She was glad to have someone. Not only for a guard, but for a friend. It lightened her mood and her heart. Kaizer promised to become as strong as she needed and the cream colored child laughed softly. "We're both going to be incredibly strong and skilled then. That's what I want." Her gaze hardened for a moment. "I'm going to walk my own path. I'll take care of myself and my pack. No one will have to worry about little, tiny Asla. I'll be a force." She grinned then. "Let's go find my dad."

-End?-
