I am going to get you
ft Luns
Eir walked slowly through the Rio grande with a desire to explore, this place of all the ones one could have in Boreas was such a good location for her.She had come here quite some time, and today was going to be another day for exploring and maybe getting some fun. What kind of fun? Who knows? Only she knew what kind of fun she was looking for,and there in silence, she made her way, eyeing the place with clear interests. And there as she kept going the smell of a presently killed animal caught her attention. Curious she approached to see a recently killed deer. Eir wasnt one to steal from others but as opportunistic as she sometimes was she decided to go for it , but as she approached a very angry cougar jumped between her and the carcass. Eir winkled her maw to reveal her fangs,of well it seemed the fun she was looking for had come.
The weather in the south was nice and warm. Ragna would've been content to just lay in the sun but alas there was so much to get done and not enough daylight to get it done in. First thing to do was eat some breakfast. She roused her husband from his sleep then set off on a hunt. She hadn't gone terribly far before she caught the smell of a fresh kill. Hmm… maybe she could snatch a piece for breakfast. Ragna was opportunistic. She wouldn't pass up a free meal so she could save her energy for other tasks.
Ragna tracked the scent down and came upon a kill where another wolf and a cougar were facing off. While the cougar was distracted by the other wolf Ragna snuck forward and seized one of the deer legs. She tried to chew it off but the cat heard her. It whipped around claws just missing her face as she pulled back. Her ears flattened to her head and she snarled.
Skælingr slept fitfully. When morning arrived and the sunlight streamed across his face he wanted to dig a hole, hide in it and go back to sleep. However, Ragna wasn't having it. She got him up and soon the pair went in search of breakfast. When they found the deer kill Skæ looked to his wife with a grin. Free meal! As his wife snuck forward for a leg he moved for the neck. The cougar snarled and attacked his wife. Ragna retreated but Skælingr moved in for the attack. With a snarl he lunged for the cougar, seizing hold of its long tail but only for a moment for the cat whirled around and slashed at him with its claws. The claws nicked his hip, drawing blood and he shuffled back to reassess the situation.
Eir snarled at the feline ,rising her hackles and tail in dominance display, eyes of cyan narrowed upon the cat who hissed her in a ferocious manner. The cat wasnt having it,but Eir was neither standing back. She was going to fight it off and no one will stop her. Growling she was ready to attack but there behind the scene another wolf tried to go for one of the deer's legs mand of course the cougar noticed and went forward to launch its claws to the intruder, the wolf retreated but another came to attack. But receiving the blow.
Time to play! And there as the cougar was distracted with the pair, she darted herself forward with widened jaws attempting to bite hard on the spine of the feline, where the tail connected with the body.As she did she shook her head viciously wanting to cause pain and maybe some damage. The feline snarled and switched to her sending a paw with unsheltered claws toward her face but she stepped back to dodge it.
Her husband and the other wolf dove in to harass the cat. When the cat whirled around to strike at the stranger Ragna darted forward and grabbed hold of the cat's back hind leg. She thrashed as the cat yowled. It whipped around and Ragna let go but she wasn't quite fast enough as its claws tore long gashes down the left side of her neck. She quickly pulled back, ducking behind her husband who dove toward the cat once more. Panting she turned her attention back toward the carcass. She quickly dug into the deers leg, working to sever it while her husband and the stranger battled the cat. If she could sever the leg and make off with it there would be no need to continue fighting. She and her husband would have their meal and she could tend to her wounds.
The stranger was quick to get involved and his wife joined shortly after. When he saw the cats claws injure his wife he snarled in anger and attacked. Skælingr's jaws fixed around the cats scruff. He held tight as the cat screeched and flailed. He tried to keep close so that he was out of the way of the cat's claws but it was difficult. His side was scratched but he held on tight. wrapping his left arm over the back of the cats shoulders to force his larger weight onto the smaller feline. He only had to immobilize the cat long enough for Ragna to get them a good meal. While he didn't mind fighting for fighting's sake and for practice he was worried about his wife.
The carnage kept going with the three wolves joining forced to drive the feline away from the carcass. The pair worked together to do a lot od damage but they both got their gashes from the claws. She could feel it,in her scruff, there was a proof of what fighting an angry feline was.Lion in her side but leaving that to the side she moved forward angrily, and as the feline wasnt paying attention she went forward to clawl ahead and angling her snout up she would open it wide and attempt to wrap her jaws around its throat. She was killing it now,the sking could be a great armor for her later on when she managed to make it.
The fight was a flurry of motion. The other woman went for the cat's throat and Ragna frowned. It was a rather sad thing in her opinion. After all, as far as she knew the cat had done the work of getting the kill and was only trying to protect its hard work. Ah, well, that was nature she supposed. She finished working her jaws through the deer leg and pulled it free. Pulling the leg away from the kill she glanced at her husband, hoping he'd follow her but instead he was going to help with the cougar. She sighed. They were here for breakfast, not to get distracted. Men!
With their breakfast secure and the threat of the cougar neutralized she headed back to their camp ground. She didn't know if the other wolf wanted to share or not but Ragna was not above stealing when it suited her purposes.

Skælingr knew his wife would take care of breakfast and as he saw the other woman go for a killing bite to the cat he rushed in to help. Bounding through the grass he latched onto the cougar's thigh, fangs digging in deep, questing for the femoral artery. When he shredded it the blood loss was swift. That combined with the other woman's jaws over its throat brought the cougar to a swift end. He pulled back, blood staining his face. He licked the blood off and turned to the kill, noticing that his wife wasn't there. Well, seemed she opted to cut and run.
He looked to the stranger and gave a respectful nod before turning and chasing after his wife. He didn't think the other woman would prevent them from eating but his wife really was a cautious sort of woman.

And there blood covered the female's jaws, gripping down her throat.Yes this may was cruel but it was necessary for what she wanted to do later. Sometimes you have to be this drastic in life. She was taught to never show mercy when it wasnt an option. The feline was going dor severe harm against her so she decided to retaliate with full force. With the cat dead before her she allowed the pair to get their part of the kill, giving them one last node before their departure. Now she took the cougar over her back and calmly she started to head back to Lirim, licking some of the blood from her maw. Lter own she was going to skin her prize and make an armor of it. exit |
