birth new hope

Erys lounged much too comfortably for one of his stature, but he had a decent reason to do so. One of the last ewes set to lamb lay nearby, she was obviously struggling and the horned wolf was doing his best to help her. It wasn’t easy though. she was one of the herd that pretty much hated him. Like she could feel his curse and did whatever she could to avoid him. erys didn’t know what to do now, no one else was around and this was happening.

She bleat her displeasure but there wasn’t much she could do. With a great heave the ewe did her part and Erys tried to help pull the delicate legs that preceded the lamb. With blood, sweat, and Erystotle’s tears, the lamb was finally pulled free. The blue marked wolf almost relaxed, but the small ewe wasn't done yet and the process was repeated two more times. At the end Erys was covered in sheep birth, but it was worth it for the three perfect lambs the sheep licked clean. Erys let out a huge sigh as he fell backwards in victory. success bolstered him and for a moment he forgot about everything.
