By the time they reached the Armada's borders her lungs were burning from the full tilt sprint she had done to get here and she was beginning to get a bit dizzy from the blood loss she was experiencing from the two wounds Osmond had landed. She hadn't looked back to see if the woman that had been with her brother had managed to follow or keep up with her. She desperately hoped she had, but for now she just needed to get to Resin. That was the one thought that kept repeating through her mind. Get to Resin. Get to Resin. If she could just make it to Resin then she would be safe. "Resin! Resin!" she called as loud as her oxygen deprived lungs could manage as soon as she got close to their den. It was closer to the border she had crossed than the pack's common area was so that's where she went first and she could only pray that her lover was there.

It wasn't till she stumbled to a stop outside their den that she finally turned around and her eyes landed on the black and gray young woman she had told to follow her. A brief moment of relief hit her once she saw that she had successfully gotten away from Osmond as well. She sucked air into her lungs and tried to steady herself since she was sure her brother wouldn't be far behind. Even though the bites he had landed on her hand't been that bad, they had been bleeding steadily since she had been in a wild sprint from the Redbud Nook and there hadn't been a moment to let them stop their bleeding. The combination made her lightheaded and she wanted to lay down, but she couldn't. A heartbeat after the woman reached her, Tamsyn spotted Osmond running toward them. "Get behind me! she gasped, putting herself between Osmond and his mate in a split second decision in an attempt to protect her.

Rhona didn't know where they were going, but she didn't care. They were going away from Osmond and that was all she could focus on. She kept running even when she thought her body was going to completely give out if she took one more step. She had already been tired from the constant traveling they had done over the last couple weeks and she could just barely keep up with Tamsyn as she led the way in a full on sprint. She didn't care if she died right this moment from exhaustion - it was better than continuing to live under the constant torment she was currently trapped in. This was her one and only chance to get out and she was going to take it.

She barely registered the fact that they crossed into an pack's territory. She just continued to follow Tamsyn until the solid black woman finally stopped. Rhona stumbled to a stop beside her and her legs trembled under her, threatening to collapse at any second. She panted hard and tried to figure out where they were. From what she could tell it seemed to be some kind of mostly empty plain that was filled with tall grasses and the occasional tree dotting the land here and there. Other than that, it was hard to tell any other distinguishing features about their surroundings. She hadn't realized just how close Osmond was to them until she heard Tamsyn tell her to get behind her. Her head snapped to look over her shoulder, her amber eyes landing on the man. Without hesitation she scrambled to duck behind Tamsyn. She didn't want to rely on Tamsyn to protect her like this, but she wasn't sure she had a choice at this point. She knew she didn't stand a chance, but it seemed like Tamsyn might be able to hold her own - if the wound that Osmond currently carried was to be believed.

There was no coherent thoughts going through his mind at this point. It was just a mix of righteous anger and furious disbelief. She'd actually hurt him. A deep bite crossed the lower part of his throat and covered his chest in blood. He'd seen his women beg or struggle or run, but he'd never actually felt one of their teeth tear his skin before. It sent him into a blind rage and as soon as Tamsyn took off with Rhona close behind he went after them without hesitation. He would kill her for this. If he hadn't already been sure of that before, he certainly was now. Religion laws and all be damned - he'd make a lesson out of her and show Rhona what would happen if she even thought about pulling the same sort of stunt as Tamsyn.

He was so driven and and blinded by his own determination and fury that he barely realized how much blood he had lost and how much he was struggling to even stay on his feet. The fact that they passed over a pack's borders didn't register at all. He had his eyes set on his target as if he was wearing blinders and nothing was going to come between him and them at this point. When Tamsyn stopped and he saw Rhona duck behind his sister he began to stumble to a stop with a breathless, crazed chuckle. "End of the line," he told them with a sick grin that pulled at his gaping, panting muzzle. "After all these years... I'll get to do what... Father should have already done," His words were broken up by gasps for air and he tried to walk closer to them, but each step felt heavy and clumsy.

It was the terror in Tamsyn's voice that had the scarred woman running full tilt towards the border. Never had she heard her lover filled with such fear. Whatever was causing that fear would pay. Heavy paws thudded the ground as the giantess made a beeline for two dark specks on the horizon. The wind shifted and on its undulating waves came the scent of blood. Tamsyn's blood. Though she wouldn't have believed it possible, the woman ran faster, intent on getting to Tamsyn side as soon as possible.

Resin had been running so quickly that she actually had to skid to a halt as she came to Tams side. During her approach she heard her love tell the other woman to get behind her. The foreign woman smelled odd but she didn't seem to be the threat. The threat arrived a moment later. He seemed to only have eyes for Tamsyn. Well, he would see her soon enough.

The words that left his maw filled Resins veins with ice. Their father? The maned womans ire rose like an inferno. Resin placed herself between the two women and the bastard that was soon to die. This was a member of Tamsyn's family. He shared her blood. The pain that she had been put through made his life forfeit. His words were filled with suggestions, but hers were filled with promise and would be the only words he would ever hear her speak.

"I think not."

The ash and onyx dames pelt bristled as she stalked forward. Her legs were stiff and her tail curled up over her spine in dominance . Lips pulled back in s guttural snarl, exposing those wicked, serrated fangs. She would get to use them today. Resin towered over the bloodied man, her thick muscles rippling beneath her Ashen fur. She was glad that Tam had gotten a good strike in, for she was about to tear him to shreds.

Resin. The moment that her lover was at her side she felt her body give out with her own relief and she fell back onto her haunches. As long as Resin was here then they were safe - that's what had motivated her to make it back here as fast as physically possible and the thought hadn't failed her. Resin's form came between her and Osmond, stopping her brother in his tracks and refuting his threats with a cold, hard promise of the vengeance that Resin had promised long ago when Tamsyn had first told her about what her family had done. Her only regret now was that Resin's form blocked her from seeing Osmond's expression as he realized that he was outmatched - and by a woman no less. A slight, satisfied grin twitched at her lips as she began to catch her breath and she watched Resin meet Osmond with furious snarls and bristled fur.

Tamsyn turned her attention to the woman that stood at her shoulder for a moment, glancing toward her out of the corner of her eye. This wasn't a fight she wanted to miss, but she wanted to make sure that this young woman understood what she was about to witness. "He's going to be killed," she told her softly, a certainty in her voice leaving no wavering or wiggle room in that fact. He wasn't going to leave here alive. If Resin didn't finish him off then she was certain Sirius would. "It's not going to be pretty. If you want to go into the den until it's done you can." She had been her not all that long ago. She remembered what it was like to be contently in fear and feeling like there was no way out. Back then the only blood she had really seen had been her own and the idea of murder had been abhorrent to her. She wouldn't blame this woman if she didn't want to see this happen, but she also wouldn't be surprised if she wanted to watch this bit of indirect justice for whatever Osmond had put her through.

Her eyes were fixed on Osmond over Tamsyn's shoulder, barely able to breathe through the fear that was gripping her lungs. In the limited world she had been brought up in, he had been the biggest threat in her life and she couldn't possibly imagine him being stopped. A larger wolf's form appeared in the corner of her vision and she looked toward the scarred, battle worn woman with a slight confusion and awe. She didn't understand how this woman was tied to Tamsyn exactly, but their scents were certainly intermingled quite heavily so it was obvious they spent a lot of time together. It was all just too much for her mind to process. When Tamsyn fell back onto her haunches, Rhona quietly stepped up to stand beside her, standing just slightly behind Tamsyn's shoulder.

Her ears flicked at the statement that Tamsyn made about Osmond's impending death. How many times had she imagined something like this happening to him the nights that he forced himself on her to try for their pups that wouldn't come? How many times had she hoped that he would just disappear so she could be free? Now that it was staring her in the face it was hard to watch. At the same time... she couldn't bring herself to look away. She gave a small shake of her head and settled on her haunches next to Tamsyn, their sides lightly touching. "No, I'll stay." She would watch her mate die and she would be happy to do so.

If he had been given one more moment he would have gotten what he wanted, but before he could get his teeth into Tamsyn's skin, another wolf showed up and loomed over him. His eyes lifted, his brows pulling together with confusion at the heavily scarred face that his blue green eyes landed on. He could tell from her scent that this was a woman, but she went completely against any expectation he had for one. It did admittedly make his bravado waver for a moment, but the moment he realized that she had put herself between him and the two women he was trying to get to his anger came back just as strong and unstoppable as before. He met her snarls with some of his own as he glared and stared her in her one-eyed face. "Get out of my way!" he growled, his hackles bristling. "They are mine! You have no right to stop me!" His voice was rough with the blood loss and the hard run he had just done, but he didn't care. Without warning, he launched forward with wide open jaws toward the side of her face, determined to force his way past her to get what he wanted. No one would stop him - not even this woman he felt he could barely even call a woman to begin with.

He should have begged for his life. He should have cowered before her. Wet himself. Vomited due to anxiety,  but he was so blind. So very,  very blind to his own demise. His death was staring him in the face with one blazing yellow eye.

The man spat out words of ownership and Resin actually smiled.  A full on smile. Something that she rarely ever did. He was a fool. A dead,  nameless fool. He tried to rush her and she stepped easily into him causing him to bounce hard off of her chest.  His jaws were wide and had been aiming for her face,  but he was angry and anger made you stupid.

Resin allowed his teeth to collide with her shoulder. There was pain,  but pain was trivial and it was nothing compared to what he would suffer.  His teeth lodged in her shoulder simply held him where she wanted him.  If he was biting her, he couldn't bite Tamsyn. That was all that mattered.  This was all about Tamsyn.

The womans jaws opened wide and she sank her edged teeth into one of his ears. Resin never used teeth and it felt glorious to sink them into flesh once more. The flesh of an enemy was so different than the flesh of prey. And this man was grade-A enemy.  With her teeth in his ear, she could feel him struggle.  The more he struggled, the more the serrated edges sheared through his ear. In the end,  he tore his own ear off.

Resin spat the lump of flesh aside. He was howling and snarling but she had yet to put in much effort. Again he launched himself forward and again she sidestepped, giving him her left shoulder each time. Blood welled from the fang marks in her shoulder,  but blood ran in rivers from the hole in his head.

This time as he bit into her shoulder,  Resin sank her teeth in just behind the man's skull. He seemed to know that he was in trouble and released her flesh as he began to struggle. With her jaws locked tightly around his neck,  Resin planted her hind paws,  claws digging into the earth. Her front half raised in an equine-like rear, the thick,  corded muscles in her neck bulging as she lifted him from the ground. Much like a crocodile,  one of her favorite predators, Resin snapped her neck to the side flinging the man from one side of her body to the other where he crashed hard into the ground.  The air left him,  but her jaws did not. She had heard bones break and hoped that it was his spine, but just in case...

Teeth dug into the brutes spine just below the skull,  Resin worked her jaws back and forth pushing teeth through flesh until they scraped against bone. She then flung her great head back and forth,  tearing away flesh and leaving the bone exposed. A feeble attempt was given to crawl away,  but it was over. For him,  anyway.

Now she let the anger lose,  like giving a silent command to a well trained dog. The floodgates opened and her vision ran red. A guttural snarl more akin to a roar,  erupted from the bloodied woman. She tore into her prey. It was no longer a wolf. It was just meat to be shredded. If asked later, Resin couldn't tell you just when he died,  only that he was most assuredly dead.

Again and again her teeth went back to the corpse.  She tore him to pieces. Her grey pelt ran black with blood and gore.  The grass beneath her was awash with blood. Body parts littered the space around her. Intestines trailed away as they were expelled from the dead man's cavity.  She saw nothing,  heard nothing,  smelled nothing. She was anger. She was rage. She was retribution and she was vengeance.  This... this was what she had been born, bred and trained to do.

By the time that the fires of rage ceased to burn within her,  it was difficult to tell just what she had killed. Bits of bone and chunks of meat were flung everywhere. The bone shards had cut into her face,  lips,  gums and tongue,  but it didn't matter. Her blood mingled with his,  but it didn't matter. Nothing mattered. Or did it?

Gradually,  a face began to pulse in and out of focus within her mind's eye. A pretty face. A dark face.  Kind,  aqua colored eyes stared back at her lovingly. Tamsyn. Again and again Tamsyns face flashed in her mind, becoming more clear each time. Her love had called her rage home and had tamped the fires.  Feeling weak from exertion,  the bloodied berserker sat in the gore that she had created.  A shudder ran through her body and she let her chin drop to her chest simply because she could no longer hold it up.

Resin didn't want to look behind her. She didn't want to see the horror or disdain that she just knew would be on Tamsyns face. She was a monster. This man had died in the same way that Iolaire's father had; in the same way that others had. This was why she always fought so hard to stay calm and emotionless. It was easy to get carried away. Truthfully,  she loved giving in.  There was nothing sweeter than tearing a deserving soul to pieces.

With a sigh,  the women's forelegs slid outward and she lay in the mess that she'd made. She'd done what she'd promised. One of the perpetrators of Tamsyn's abuse had been dispatched.  But at what price?

Marshal had told him enough the Warlord had torn through the territory with enough disregard that he tore patches in the earth with the force of his powerful momentum. Even then, he arrived too late. The fate of the wolves gathered lay in the hands of his adopted grandmother. The impressive woman had torn the aggressor to shreds. He arrived, painting at the scene, to see the mess of blood and gore. It reminded him a little of his bear massacre. How alike be and Resin could be.

He found a particularly large chunk of flesh, and emptied his bowels. It wasnt as satisfying as rending flesh, but it was all he had available to him. Once the sound of water ceased, he leaned over, and kissed Resin on one bloody cheek. He kissed Tam next in a similar placing, and made his way to the stranger.

The woman he did not recognize looked frightened and uncertain. He left the lovers to themselves. He had no doubt they had much to speam on, through he wished to grab both of them and growl over their bodies. 'MINE' his mind whispered aggressively. But they were each others first, and as much as it hurt, he forced himself to respect that. He dipped his head to the woman, cautiously moving to bump his shoulder against hers. Not sure how much she could handle right now. "Im Sirius" he introduced himself, speaking softly.

She had already known that whatever Resin did it wasn’t going to be pretty. It was going to be brutal and messy and, if she was a betting woman, probably not quick. Osmond was just one piece of the puzzle in the world that she had come from, but he was a fairly substantial piece of it and she had no doubt that Resin wouldn’t go easy on him because of that. However, she hadn’t quite known just how violet Resin could be if given free reign to destroy someone as much as she wanted. The flow of blood started quickly and never really stopped. Her brother’s howls and yells of pain and agony quickly filled the air and stayed that way until he could no longer speak. Tamsyn couldn’t quite tell when he had actually died, but she knew he was. Of course he was, how could he not be? Eventually things shifted from merely killing the man to making it so that no one would be able to tell he was ever a fully formed being. Blood and guts went every where as Osmond’s body was ripped to pieces.

She kept expecting herself to look away or to feel afraid or concerned or something, but she didn’t. She didn’t look away and she barely flinched. She didn’t feel much of anything. She wasn’t happy or upset or disgusted. She was just... there. If anything, if she had to pick an emotion, she could say she was content and maybe a bit proud to call Resin hers. Once Resin finally stopped and she saw her lover sit among the core she had created instead of looking back toward them then Tamsyn began to feel concerned, but only then, not before.

Her gaze shifted to Sirius then, watching him as he kissed Resin’s cheek before he came to kiss hers as well. She looked at him for a moment and realized that her mind was still processing everything that had just happened. It wasn’t just the murder she had just witnessed - it was reliving the gripping fear of facing her brother again when she had been so sure that she had escaped him forever. She smiled softly and leaned up to press her nose to Sirius’ cheek in return. She was certain that the Warlord world be furious that he had missed out on a chance to partake in Resin’s brutal murder. She glanced to the woman at her side, honestly a bit surprised to realize that she had stayed for the whole ordeal as well. As much as she wanted to make sure she was okay, Resin was her top priority and always would be.

With Sirius there to keep Iona’s sister company, Tamsyn slipped away and went to where Resin was laying. She carefully stepped over some of the larger pieces of the corpse till she could stand in front of her lover. She knew that she would end up covering herself in the blood as well, but she didn’t care. She laid down in front of Resin and pressed her forehead to hers as she closed her eyes. The relief that had been hiding in the shadows of her mind came to the surface in overwhelming amounts and she quickly felt the tears stinging her eyes and emotion swelling in her throat. She never wanted to feel that fear again, not from anyone. Resin had taken that fear away and she would always be so incredibly grateful for that.

Watching the massacre was difficult. There were many times when she had to look away for a moment, but her eyes somehow always found a way back to the fight. She wasn’t sure if she could really call this a fight with how brutally Osmond was getting beaten, but Osmond certainly tried to fight back in the beginning. He was just so vastly out matched. At some point his screams stopped and she thought that would be the end of it, but it wasn't. The woman went on shred Osmond to pieces.

Her eyes widened with shock as she watched and a few times she found herself looking to Tamsyn to see if she was just as disturbed by the turn of events, but only found a calm acceptance on her features. Was this how all wolves here were? Had Tamsyn really been among them long enough to not be phased by all of this blood and gore? There were so many questions running through her head and those combined with the overwhelming emotions from the rest of the days events made it impossible for her to process any of it.

It finally stopped and Rhona was grateful. She felt a bit numb, but she was still anxious as she sat next to Tamsyn in the eerie quiet. Her eyes were fixed on the ground in front of her with her entire system too overwhelmed to process any of it when a man approached them. She looked up at him nervously, feeling herself instinctively shrink back away from him. Men had only ever been a source of pain and fear. It wasn’t until she saw the man kiss Tamsyn’s cheek and her give him affection in return that she began to reconsider. She was still nervous as she watched him, but it at least made her fight or flight instincts calm slightly. The bump he gave her shoulder made her flinch despite her best efforts and she looked up at him apologetically.

”I’m Rhona,” she replied quietly after he introduced himself, the faint waver to her voice making her realize that she was trembling slightly. Her eyes followed Tamsyn as she went to tend to the larger woman and her gaze lingered on the carnage again. He was gone. The thought was one that she had already known logically, but emotionally it was just starting to set in. He was gone. She was free. There were too many emotions for her to sort out one from another, but the relief eventually rose to the top. Without really meaning to, she found herself leaning into Sirius’ shoulder as she began to process the fact that Osmond was gone. “He’s gone,” she repeated out loud as if saying it to the world would help her make sense of it. A confused, relieved, slightly giddy laugh left her and she let her head lean into Sirius as well. “He’s gone.”

With her moment of rage over, all that she had to do was wait. Tamsyn would either accept her as the beast that she was or she would turn away from her. Seeing such carnage would be difficult for one to swallow. Especially seeing it come from one that you loved. Resin wouldn't blame Tam if she couldn't stomach what had just transpired, but she hoped that the small, dark woman would be able to see past all of it. For a time, as she lay there waiting, she felt so utterly alone.

Sirius arrived and, after taking in the bloody mess and bits of wolf strewn about, gave her a gentle kiss upon the cheek. She couldn't react to it. Not until things were different. Instead she stayed in her slumped position, eye open wide but staring at nothing. It had been over a year since she'd killed like this. Over a year since the death of Iolaire's father. She enjoyed it so much. It was like being freed after ages of imprisonment.

She waited and eventually Tamsyn came. As she lay before Resin, the larger female could smell the salt of her tears through the thick scent of blood. Tam placed her forehead against Resin's own and everything righted itself. Despite her actions, Tam still loved her. One thick foreleg swept outward and she was pulling Tamsyn against her. The lake of blood made sliding her forward easy. Resin wrapped her arms about the smaller woman and gave her a gentle kiss with bloody, split lips. Her voice was raw from all of the growling and snarling, but she somehow still managed to make it soft. "I'm sorry that you had to see that, but I'm not sorry that I did it."

Resin then remembered that Tamsyn had been injured. Golden eye flashing for a moment, she pulled her head back to inspect her little love. "He hurt you. Do you need to see a healer?" She cast a sidelong glance at the other woman. "Does she need a healer?" Tam would have to explain a bit later, but for now, her well being was the most important thing.

Despite the brutal, bloody murder scene they were currently laying in, Tamsyn had never felt more safe and secure than she did right now wrapped up in Resin's embrace. She returned the gentle kiss she was given and followed it up with one of her own. She loved nothing more than being pressed against Resin and she wished the rest of the world would just disappear so they could be alone. She knew that wasn't a possibility right now since they still had to deal with the mess that had been made and figure out how to help the woman that Osmond had left behind, but she wanted that so badly. "I'm not sorry about any of it," she replied just as softly, leaning into Resin's embrace happily despite the fact that it caused blood to be smeared all over her. Osmond deserved what happened to him. He wasn't the only wolf to blame or even the root of the issue, but he was a major player in the scars she wore and the nightmares that plagued her. Now that she knew about Iona's death... she wished she had managed to deal more damage to the bastard herself before Resin got ahold of him.

When Resin pulled back to inspect her for wounds Tamsyn looked up at her lover's single golden eye with a small shake of her head. No, her wounds were nothing serious. A couple of bites that had left a few lacerations on her neck and shoulder - nothing to be overly concerned about. The only reason she had bled so much was the fact that she had sprinted so hard immediately after getting them. Maybe she might have meadow put a little something on them later when they were cleaned up and back in their den for the night just to make sure they didn't get infected, but she didn't want Resin to worry. When the attention was turned toward the woman she had brought here, Tam turned her aquamarine eyes toward the young woman with a small frown. "I don't think so... at least not for any physical wounds." she said softly, still keeping her voice just for Resin alone. Mentally, that might be a different story. Only time would tell just how badly they had scarred her.

She gave Resin one more kiss, this time letting her lips linger for a bit longer and letting more passion mingle in with the affection, before she got back to her paws again. As much as she didn't want to, as much as she just wanted to tend to Resin and get them both cleaned up, she had to make sure this woman was alright. She sympathized with her so deeply and she felt a bit of guilt for the fact that it had been her brother that caused this. She walked back over to where Sirius and the stranger was standing, giving the Warlord a glance before focusing in on the amber-eyed woman. "I'm sorry... I could tell that you're Iona's sister, but I'm not sure what your name is." Once Rhona introduced herself and she at least had a name for her, she went on. "I'm sorry for what happened to your sister and I'm sorry that Osmond put you in this situation. You can tell us more about what happened later if you like, whenever you're ready, but for now I think we all need to rest and get cleaned up." She turned her attention to Sirius then, giving him a curious, questioning look. "Could she stay here?"

The stranger - Rhona, she introduced herself, flinched from his touch. He expected as much, but he still fought to keep a frown from his features. She had been through a trauma, he would need to give her space. He intended to do so, but before he could she began to lean onto his shoulder. Trapping him there.

Bemused, he turned his eyes but not his head towards Tamsyn and Resin, both of which were comforting each other at the moment. He was definitely pissed that he had missed out on tearing apart the brute that dared step foot near Armada borders with intent to hurt his people. “She can stay for now” he agreed, not willing to give any more assurance then that until he knew more.

“I’m going to need a full report, I only got the highlights, that this man was hurting you and chasing you here, Tamsyn” he explained. He had cared only for getting here in time after that, not learning any more.

Even though she was still not quite sure about his presence, she was happy that Sirius had allowed her to lean against his shoulder. The relief she felt was staggering and for a moment it felt like the world was spinning around her in a strange way. It wasn't quite like she was dizzy, but it seemed like somehow she was standing still and was moving more slowly than everything else around her. She watched the scarred woman and Tamsyn comfort each other and share a few affectionate kisses and it made her head tilt slightly to the side as she considered them. A small part of her interest came from the fact that she had never seen two women loving each other the way they were, but the larger part was just the tender affection of it all and the very clear attachment they shared. Affection was a foreign concept and she let herself be distracted by her fascination with it as a way to keep herself from dwelling on Osmond's fate too much.

She watched Tamsyn come over to stand in front of her again, her eyes drifting over the portions of the woman's face and chest that and gotten smeared with blood. "I'm Rhona," she repeated for Tamsyn, forcing her orange-hued eyes to refocus on Tam's eyes instead. Her eyes were more green than Osmond's had been, more mint and less blue-green. Good, at least she didn't look too much like her brother. A very slight smile pulled at her lips as she listened to Tamsyn apologize for everything that had happened and she gave a small shake of her head. It was so strange to speak with Tamsyn now after hearing the stories of her for most of her life with Tam's story being told to pups as a warning tale to keep them in line. "None of it is your fault," she insisted. She could easily place the blame on Osmond without a second thought. He was the cause of all of this pain and he had gotten what he deserved... whether it had been pleasant to watch or not.

When the question came up of whether she could stay here it made her realize that she was going to have to find a way to keep doing now that she was out from under Osmond's control. She had been so entirely focused on getting away from him and freeing herself that she hadn't thought about what would come next. She had never lived without someone taking care of her and she certainly hadn't been shown how to hunt or fight so she wasn't sure how she could live on her own... Luckily Sirius agreed that she could stay here for now and she hoped that would at least give her enough time to figure out her next move. He went on to ask for a full report of what had happened to get them here and her ears flicked. She knew that Tamsyn had given her the freedom to wait to speak for herself till she was ready to do so, but she felt like she at least needed to add some kind of context for her being here. "The man was Osmond..." she explained softly, looking up at Sirius as she finally allowed herself to shift away from his shoulder enough to sit up on her own again. "He was my mate... Not my choice - he choose me." Did they get to choose who their mates would be here? She glanced toward Tamsyn and the other woman who had actually done the killing and decided that they must have that freedom here and it was a fact she was excited to know more about once she was able to fully think straight.

Tamsyn didn't cower from her or shrink away in disgust. She kissed her and Resin returned that kiss. It was a disgusting feeling to not be sure of oneself and she most definitely hadn't been sure until that one little kiss. When Tam got up and left her side once more, the big woman staggered to her paws as well. Tamsyn wasn't injured. Rhona wasn't injured. They would tell Sirius what he needed to know.

On weak, shaking legs, Resin made her way anywhere but where the carnage lay. She sought out the lapping waves of the nearby ocean tributary and submerged herself within it. The water ran red with blood and bits of viscera. She didn't swim out too deep, but she did swim a bit just to make sure that her pelt was clean. Once she felt as though she had been rid of every bit of the man that she had killed, the giantess padded back onto the beach and lay down in the sand. She closed her eye for just a moment, but a moment was enough. The woman fell asleep in the sand and would remain there until the following morning.

She nearly missed Resin's departure as she spoke with Rhona, but once Rhona began to speak to start the explanation of who it was that had just been murdered, she glanced up and saw Resin walking away. She had to fight her instinct to follow after her. She would, but things had to be settled here first and she knew that. Tamsyn realized that Rhona had stopped speaking and her attention snapped back to her and Sirius. "A full report... right," she said as she refocused her attention and gave a small sigh. She didn't like having to have her attention torn like this, but considering everything her brother had probably put this woman through she owed it to Rhona to at least speak on her behalf and explain what happened.

Osmond was also my brother," she added to further clarify how he was tied to them both. Sirius at least knew a bit about her past so hopefully that information shed a good bit of light on its own. "I was out at the Redbud Nook when Osmond found me. Rhona was with him. He was immediately violent after I questioned him about his former mate and he attacked me. I defended myself and wounded him, but I wasn't sure that I would be able to over power him on my own. I told Rhona to follow me and ran back here to get help. Resin stepped in and, well..." Tamsyn motioned to the mess that was just off to the side of where they were sitting as if that was all the explanation she needed to give for what happened next. She had to admit that going through the events and giving a repot like this in a detached, General-like way did help her calm down a bit more and recenter herself. It felt like she was just doing a job rather than working through a traumatic event. That processing would have to come later. For now she had to focus on this task and finish things here with Sirius and Rhona.

As she spoke she stole subtle glances at Rhona, searching for any scars or noticeable marks on her that Osmond might have left. In passing glances she wouldn't have noticed them, but as she looked closer she could see the subtle gaps in the shorter fur across her muzzle and legs. He'd learned his lesson from how he and his father had punished her then... these scars were much less noticeable. She had to assume that there were probably more where these came from, but probably hidden by thicker fur. She saw a lot of herself in Rhona and it brought back quite a few memories that she really wished she never had to remember. "Rhona, do you mind if I talk with Sirius for a moment? Why don't you go in our den and rest for a bit - it's right over there." She waited for Rhona to nod and slip away into the den she shared with Resin and Meadow before she turned her attention back toward Sirius.

Now that it was just the two of them she let her shoulders pull in on themselves a bit with the weight of everything that had just happened. Another sigh passed her lips and she gave Sirius a troubled look. "I was... really, really scared when he found me," she admitted in a soft voice, her ears folding back. She had tried to maintain some sibilance of strength around Rhona so the other woman wouldn't be as worried, but it was incredibly difficult to keep that up around Sirius. "Besides my father, Osmond was one of the main wolves that tortured and punished me. I don't know what all he's done to her... His first mate was Rhona's older sister. I grew up with her sister and I knew that she and Osmond had been mates. To see him with Rhona instead... I definitely didn't have a good feeling about it." She looked to Sirius with a more serious look, adding, "She needs help. She may not realize it yet, but she will. She won't know how to fight and probably won't really know how to hunt." Tamsyn's expression grew more pleading as she went on. "Please, Sirius, will you help her the same way you helped me?"

He asked for a full report, and the stranger spoke first, giving him little in terms of the larger picture. He was distracted momentarily by Resin’s departure, but a nod to the sky sent Marshal after her. His companion would ensure the older wolf was okay, and if she looked liable to collapse, would pull a healer her way. He would have preferred to go after her himself, as Tam would, but as Alpha and General, they had an obligation to deal with the current mess that had landed in their laps.

Tamsyn caught his attention once more, and he turned back to his General. Osmond the dead wolf was her brother? And she had watched her lover rip him to shreds? He hid his surprise, and went over events again. Of this wolf chasing them to his border, and Resin protecting them. Tamsyn’s past had been hard, though he did not know many of the details. He wanted to rip Osmond apart himself, now. He bit back a growl.

His General dismissed the girl, and the Warlord knew what was coming would likely be heavy. He positioned himself to lean lightly against Tamsyn, offering her support. “I want to kill him again. If I had a way to bring him back to life, I would, so he can suffer again.” he snarled. Which… probably wasn’t what Tam wanted to hear. He shook his head, though his hackles were still raised. He leaned harder against her, his possessive spike coming through. “Then she’s mine. For you. I will ensure her safety, and I will train her to defend herself. She’s mine now.” he promised her. Which was a declaration of all he would do for her. Coming from others, it might mean they should fear for the wolf. Coming from Sirius, it meant they would never want for support, training, or care.

She wasn't surprised at all when Sirius mentioned that he wanted to bring Osmond back so that he could make the man suffer again. She wasn't entirely sure if she would want to watch the whole scene play out again, but she certainly understood where he was coming from and it was endearing in Sirius' own unique way. Tamsyn more than happily leaned back into Sirius when he did the same and felt a good bit of comfort just from his presence there. She silently hoped that Rhona would find the same sort of comfort in his presence eventually and would come to understand that his possessiveness purely came from a place of love the way she had. She knew that possession had a completely different connotation in their old lives, but here, with Sirius, it was different.

Tamsyn smiled with Sirius vowed that Rhona would be his and that he would train her. She leaned her head into his shoulder and let her eyes close for a moment. She felt okay physically with just the two bites that stung a bit when she moved to tend to, but emotionally and mentally she felt utterly drained. As soon as she was done here she would go find Resin and then she would just sleep and hope that this day would just melt away from her memories. "Thank you," she replied, the relief obvious in her voice. She felt like as long as Rhona was in the Warlord's capable paws then she wouldn't need to worry about the younger woman. She still wondered what had actually happened to Iona, but that would have to be something that she found out from Rhona later. "I better go find Resin," she commented as she opened her eyes and made herself get back to her paws. Her own worry over her lover wouldn't let her rest until she knew she was okay.

She looked toward the den and saw Rhona's amber eyes peeking through the entrance of the den, clearly watching them both cautiously. Tam smiled a little and padded over to the entrance of the den. "I'm going to go find Resin... the larger woman that was here before." She felt the need to clarify since she was pretty certain that she hadn't had a chance to introduce Resin at all before now. She nodded back over her shoulder toward Sirius and told her, "If you don't feel like resting yet why don't you get to know Sirius a bit better? He's the alpha of the pack... He really helped me a lot when I first joined." With that she gave Sirius one last glance before going off in the direction that Resin had gone.

As she listened to Tamsyn explained the situation to Sirius, it almost felt like she was hearing it from a top down, third person sort of view and it felt strange to think of it in such a detached manner. She wasn't sure what to think of any of it at this point. She had really only known of Tamsyn through stories and and very foggy memories. Everyone else here was a complete stranger. The bloody mess that had once been Osmond made her a bit uneasy, but all things considered she felt like this was a lucky turn of events. She no longer had to worry about Osmond, the band back home wouldn't be looking for them or expecting them back since Osmond had basically cursed them all anyway and had sworn that he was better than them all before they left, and if how Tamsyn was acting was to believed then the wolves here were trustworthy at the very least. Tamsyn's voice pulled her attention and when she requested for her to go rest in the den for a moment while they spoke Rhona readily agreed and walked away from the pair.

She slipped into the shadowed interior of the den and looked around for a moment, seeing that there was two chambers built off of the middle joining part. Tamsyn's scent led off to one of them, but the larger, scarred woman's scent was just as heavily intermingled there as well. It was incredibly obvious that she and Tamsyn were together in some way even though the idea of two women being together seemed very foreign to her. Even though Tamsyn clearly trusted her, after seeing what she did to Osmond it made her a bit nervous to be in their space. She moved toward the other chamber, but that was the scent of a complete stranger so she didn't exactly feel comfortable going in their either. She laid down toward the back wall of the middle changer for a little while, but she just couldn't get herself to relax. Eventually she gave up on the endeavor entirely. It didn't seem to matter how exhausted she was - her mind just wouldn't stop spinning and she couldn't get herself to relax.

Rho went back to the den's entrance and looked out at the pair just moments before Tamsyn got up to leave and their eyes happened to meet. For a moment she thought she had been found out and she would get in trouble for spying, but Tamsyn's kind face eased her worries. She poked her head more out of the den as Tamsyn drew closer and she listened to the things she was told. Her amber gaze looked to Sirius at Tam's insistence that she get to know the large male better and she quickly realized that she was going to be alone with the man whether she liked it or not. He obviously seemed very nice - or at least far nicer than any man she had ever been around before - but the idea of being alone with him still made her a bit nervous. But if he had really helped Tam as much as she said...

She watched Tamsyn leave for a moment before turning to look at Sirius again. Finding her way out of the den, she walked toward him with her ears back and head low - the submissive stance so engrained in her at this point that she didn't even realize she was doing. She sat in front of him and peered up at his blue gaze curiously. She purposefully sat herself in a way that the carnage would be at her back so she wouldn't have to look at it. Where did she even start? Getting to know strangers was just another thing on the list of things that she was quickly beginning to realize she didn't know how to do. She was so utterly unequipped to deal with the world and she had never realized it until she was forced to face the world outside of their band. "They used to talk about her in stories when I was a pup," she said with a nod toward the direction Tamsyn had gone, her voice soft and uncertain from lack of use. Her own voice sounded a bit odd in her ears, but it was something she would have to get used to again. "One of those stories that they would tell us as a warning for why we shouldn't act out or speak up, as if she was an example for why we should just behave... but I always kind of admired how she never gave up."
