Magnus couldn't sleep. With the strange events happening lately and the woman he met the other day losing her horns, there was a lot on his mind. What was happening around them? Nothing that bad had happened to him, just... a strange urge to sleep. It was when he woke up that he noticed the girls antlers were missing, laying at her paws, with only two small bald patches atop her head as evidence of the now-shed antlers. He felt for the woman, but he didn't know how to help. It wasn't like he could attach them back for her, so consoling her was all he could do.
He found himself moving through the sea's plain, weaving between cypress trees as the tide remained low. With the moon out at all hours, the sky hardly lightening enough to even consider it calling daylight, and everything else strange happening, Magnus wasn't sure what it was doing to the tide. Some fireflies lingered in the distance, but paid him no mind as he wandered and that he couldn't be more thankful for. If something had happened to Kiyo and her antlers, he wasn't so sure he wanted them anywhere near him. Not that he had anything else left to lose; what could they take? Another leg?
Magnus smirked and laughed a bit at his own thoughts, though the walking through the shifting sand was tiring for him. Despite being attacked by the fireflies once before on this beach, he decided to stop for another rest. Hoepfully they kept their distance this time, remembering what happened to their friends the last time they swarmed him. As he settled into the sand, the cool winter breeze chilled him briefly as the last remaining bit of light slowly started to fade into the infinite hours of darkness to come.
"Speech."
